Good on Victoria for doing this. I genuinely do think that she has got a good heart but that she does not always show the best of herself in public.

i read an interview with her once where she talked about how much she loved kids. she said she wished she could have 4 or 5! so it makes sense that she would want to find a way to give back that directly helps children. good for her!

I am FROM Clay County! What a good story for my town! There is a lot of poverty here for a lot of people. However, I don’t want people to think that it’s ALL bad. It’s a pretty good place to live too.

So bad ass of Victoria. I imagine they chose the school because it’s called Manchester. But this is so awesome. The Beckham Boys are absolutely privileged and blessed beyond belief (alliteration? damn), but this, once again, shows how grounded the Beckhams are with their kids. Maybe I missed it, but when exactly was this? Brooklyn was down on the field with David last night after the Galaxy booked their spot in the MLS Cup final! (which I thought you would’ve covered Trent! especially with that new haircut of Becks’…)

There are so many good things about this story.
On the trivial side of things: Flat shoes and smiling? Both look great on her. I hope she does both more often.
More importantly: Not only is it great that she’s teaching her sons at an early about the importance of philanthropy, she’s also doing it here, at (one of their) home(s). Up until this point, I had the impression she didn’t really like it here. I’m glad to see she likes the US enough to share her time and money with deserving causes.
Maybe the “Evil Robot” has had an upgrade? Kudos to her!
