‘The Early Show’ Books Adam Lambert After ‘GMA’ Cancels Him
What did I tell you?

People … what did I just get done telling you? Earlier we learned that ABC‘s Good Morning America decided to cancel Adam Lambert‘s scheduled performance on their show tomorrow because they were afraid he would give a too “controversial” performance on their early morning show. I guessed that another early morning show on another network would snap up Lambert … and I was right. CBS‘s The Early Show just send out a press release that they booked Glambert for an interview and performance on their show tomorrow morning:

CBS NEWS’ “THE EARLY SHOW” EXCLUSIVE: ADAM LAMBERT WILL DISCUSS HIS RECENT CONTROVERSIAL “AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS” APPEARANCE AND WILL PERFORM LIVE ON WEDNESDAY, NOV. 25 Adam Lambert will discuss his recent controversial “American Music Awards” appearance and will perform live on THE EARLY SHOW on Wednesday, Nov. 25 (7:00-9:00 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

LOL! I knew it … CBS jumped at the chance to get Adam on their show so that he could bash ABC … brilliant! If Adam Lambert is smart, he will take this opportunity to give an excellent performance based on substance rather than shock value. My guess is that he will hit it out the ballpark … he has to, ‘cuz his attempts to court controversy have been disastrous thus far. Don’t eff it up, Adam.

While the “Early Show” is probably the lamest of the 3 already lame morning shows, at least they stepped up.
And hey GMA way to cave with just over 1,500 complaints.

  2. frisa says:

This guy needs to go away…his music sucks and he’s obviously trying to make it on shock value and not talent. Good by Lame-bert!

  3. SuziLee says:

LOL you called it Trent! Maybe now I’ll watch the lame “Early Show” just to see what Glambert does! I wasn’t a huge fan of his performance on the AMA’s – not cause of the erotic stuff, but just cause – well – the song was lame.

  4. krissy says:

I agree Trent. If he makes it low key and gives a great vocal performance, I think this could end up helping him. If he repeats the same mistakes, it could be the final straw. It is make it or break it time, Adam.

  5. Adam Bomb says:

I’m sorry, but I would just eat him up if I had the chance,.

  6. Margie says:

No such thing as bad publicity.

  7. Whitney says:

Good for him, and good for CBS.

  8. Chris says:

There is just something about this guy that creeps me out

  9. Heather says:

Holy shizz… if Boy George and Side Show Bob had a son, this is what he’d look like! P.S. if Madonna, Britney & Christina had kissed on the AMA’s it WOULD have been cut too. Big difference between ABC and MTV!

  10. Chris says:

This guy is just to full of himself

  11. rachel says:

I can’t wait to watch him on the early show :D

  12. Bee says:

I dunno, I was in full support of Glambert while he was still on AI, like… pre-top 6. I think after that, his head just got too big, and he was trying to hard to be different and instead coming off as a freakin’ weirdo (ie Lady Gaga). Now all he seems to do in his music is screech and squeal like he did last night. But you’re totally right Trent, this is crunch time. He’s only got a few seconds left in the game, and he needs to do something ANTI drastic to actually make it as a talented musician rather than just a sideshow.

  13. GalloGirl says:

I don’t give a flying rat’s ass about him kissing a boy. The simulated oral sex was too over the top for a show that aired at 8:00 p.m. (EST). I’m not a prude, but that was vulgar and I’m soooo glad I wasn’t watching it with my daughters. I proud of the network who cancelled the live performance. There’s a time and a place for everything. But, you know what? He wanted to create dialog about himself and he succeeded. (Any publicity is “good” publicity!)

  14. patches says:

ugh, I’m counting the minutes till his 15 are up, i can’t stand his screeching voice, and he just tries too hard and seems desperate for attention, i don’t understand what people see in him?? he obviously doesn’t have the staying power to stay in the biz long, so he needs to do these little things to keep his name in the press,I was embarrassed for him watching his “performance” the other night.

  15. Bren says:

I’m not buying that ABC didn’t give him the go-ahead to do “whatever.” The publicity machine was saying it was going to be shocking etc before hand. I think that is why he closed the show. However, I think they wanted to save face with viewers and advertisers which is why GMA cancelled.

He didn’t do anything female singers and other males singers haven’t done loads of time. He just added the guy kissing. Big freakin’ deal. All anyone did was bump and grind around on that show as well as any other music awards show. Like I said, been done before….except the guy kiss. That is what everyone’s knickers are in a twist about.

I’m with Trent on this—he needs to go in a do mad awesome vocals. That is a way to tell ABC/GMA to kiss your a**!

  16. CitizenX says:

East coast here. I watched the awards for Janet, Em and Whitney.
Unfortch, I saw Adam’s performance the next day.

Still do not understand what the hoopla was about.
In him I saw and heard the newest version of Freddie Mercury
..and I look forward to many years of him astounding me.
    Vocally and artistically .

    He was awesome.

  17. Amanda says:

Am I the only one that thinks he’s really not all that good? The screaming this is annoying. He would do wonders on Broadway, but not on regular airwaves.

  18. Splick says:

Saw it, he did a great job! And some of the songs are pretty awesome…”What do you want from me” is amazing!
