Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift played host on Saturday Night Live last night and, in my humble estimation, did a pretty good job bringing the funny and holding her own as SNL host. As usual, some of the SNL skits fell flat but overall there were a few funny bits that actually made me laugh … so Taylor deffo scores points there. I think pretty much everyone was waiting to see how many times Kanye West (who infamously and very rudely interrupted Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards back in September and ignited a firestorm of controversy in the process) would be mentioned or parodied but the Kanye talk was almost nonexistent. SNL referenced the incident in Taylor‘s opening monologue and it got another nod in the Hollywood Dish skit but that was pretty much it. To be honest, I’m glad that last night wasn’t at all about Kanye … the less said about that a-hole, the better. Again … not all the gags were winners but all in all, I think Taylor Swift did a pretty good job hosting … and she managed to make me chuckle and chortle a few times so … mission: accomplished. Did you watch Taylor Swift host SNL last night? What did y’all think?

I know it’s been said but not being able to view most videos on your site is kind of annoying. I’m pretty sure it’s been brought up every time you post something from NBC….so..
@Haley — Where in the world are you? I don’t think folks outside of the US can view NBC videos and NBC pulls their vids off of You Tube … which is SOOO annoying

yeah it sucks…we cant watch it and they even take the vids off yt.. but ive seen a few vids on youtube thank goodness to some fans who uploaded it. hehee the firelight skit was cute.

I don’t know… most of the time, I kind of felt like everyone was funny EXCEPT for her. Like when she was trying to “one-up” the Penelope girl in the wedding skit… oh my gosh that was painful to watch. Same with the Scared Straight bit (besides when Bill started cracking at the end. lol, you gotta love him). I’m gonna give her the Bella impression though. That was spot-on. It was an alright episode, I guess.
I have to congratulate her for getting up there and having fun with it. Comedy is hard and she hung in there.
Favorite: Hader cracking up. They get in trouble for laughing during skits, but it’s always my favorite thing!
this ep was so freakin funny. Taylor Swift was fantastic. it looked like she was having a great time so it made the whole thing so fun to watch. the T.R.A.A.P skit was a riot.
i love seeing the cast crack up b/c then you know it’s funny if they start laughing. TS was so weird but funny in it.
best skit was the Twilight one spot on Bell impression but TS.
the best skit where they lose it as a whole is the disneyland one with lindsay lohan and jimmy fallon from a few years back. it never fails to make me laugh so freakin hard, lol!!

@Haley&Trent – I know and you can’t even BUY them on itunes in Canada. Apparently Canadian money isn’t wanted even though we’re basically at freaking par now and I doubt it would cost much of anything to them since they would be mp3 files so it would be like free money. NBC sucks!
