Sarah Michelle Gellar Shows Off Her Baby Girl
Back in September we learned that Sarah Michelle Gellar and hubby Freddie Prinze, Jr. welcomed the birth of their first child — a baby girl they named Charlotte Grace. Today we get our FIRST LOOK at their precious babygirl as she makes her worldwide debut in the pages of People magazine:
Oh baby … look at that beautiful face! Isn’t she precious? Now, for some reason, People chose not to put their interview with SMG and hubby FPJ online … but in the mag, SMG reveals that she went into labor while she was at the gym! At first, she didn’t believe that she was actually going into labor and FPJ reveals that she initially thought the rumble in her belly was from the spicy dinner she ate the night before :) SMG confesses that she decided to get an epidural for her delivery and enjoyed a totally pain-free birth … FPJ adds that after 3 pushes, Charlotte Grace came into the world. The couple also reveal that the birth of their child has equalized them immensely … they are now so focused on taking care of their baby girl that all other frantic stuff in their lives is now normalized and, as a result, better handled. Oh my gosh! I could just eat her! She is adorable! And her celeb baby playmate is Sparrow, of course! :) Although the Richie-Maddens seem a little more “hippy” than the Gellar-Prinzes.

Sarah and Freddie NEVER speak to the press. This just goes to show how proud they are to be parents. I love them and truly believe they will be awesome parents!

I don’t think SMG should have to “admit” to getting an epidural. It almost seems like she feels she has to apologize for it. Giving birth is PAINFUL. I’m Team Pain Killer. All this natural child birth crap, stuff it.
I’ve never had kids, but those scary ass high school health class films of birth made me happy I had NO desire to ever spawn! ;)

Well her father has black eyes and her mother’s eyes are brown so she won’t have blue eyes for very long.

I love SMG- I think she is so personable and relatable. I’m glad to hear their Charlotte Grace is healthy and things are going well for them. They really are a beautiful little family!Charlotte is so freakin cute and a VERY close 2nd (I’m biased, of course!) to my 1st niece who just arrived 5 days ago (And yes, she is perfect and I got her this adorable OTT pink ‘faux fur’ snow suit that I can’t wait to take a million pics of her wearing!) I’m sure SMG and FPJ are having the time of their lives (and going on no sleep, but who cares!) All the best to them! Can’t wait to see more pics of them out and about w/their little one!

Sarah’s eyes are not brown, they are green.
Charlotte Grace is an adorable baby and looks just like Freddie except the eyes, she took her eyes from her lovely mother. They are a great family. I admire them. Best Wishes to the couple.

There is nothing wrong with meds during labour, but trust me, there’s something very empowering and liberating about a drug free, totally natural birth.

Gorgeous baby but nothing in these photos suggest that she is either cuddly or that she and her mum are connecting in any way. That MAY be, actually most probably is because of the press intrusion.

@Green Is Good: you’re right about an epidural being something a woman shouldn’t have to “admit to” or apologize for… and i’m right there with ya on the “too scared to procreate” page ever since i realized women really don’t have reproductive control – STILL, we’re busting out fat little energy suckers… but i figure if i ever get pregnant, if i have a place in my life for the little thing, i’d have to do it naturally just to punish myself for getting pregnant in the first place, as well as to experience the whole thing genuinely…
just a bit of a rant there for ya…

I’ve been clicking the scans everyday ! and I can feel the happines they have rite now ;) little Charlotte looks alike daddy freddie so much ! Contrary to ed, her eyes is sooo freddie’s
Can’t wait for her hitting roads and hollywood and photographed by papparazzis, just like honor warren, harlow madden, or suri cruise. I bet she’ll be the prettiest and hippest baby in hollywood baby ;)
