Rihanna Releases A Music Video For ‘Wait Your Turn (The Wait Is Ova)’
The wait is ova, for real this time
A couple weeks ago we got our first listen of Rihanna‘s new single Russian Roulette (the first single from her new album titled Rated R) but shortly after that song was released to radio, we learned that she was already prepping the release of a second single. Today Rihanna released a music video for that second single titled Wait Your Turn (The Wait is Ova) on her official website … here are a few screencaps from this new video:

The video is not bad … the song is another slow jam but I like it much better than Russian Roulette. Check it out after the jump and judge for yourselves …
So … what do y’all think? I, for one, am still waiting for a hot, dancey, club-bangin’ track … mebbe she’s saving that kind of song for her third single. Thoughts?

Disappointed this video is lame and so far all her singles suck, srsly if the album is anything like this I’m going to have to tell her ass bai.
It’s not really a slow jam….
Def. not a dance song, but that doesnt make it a slow song either.
@Kyle — Yes, technically it’s a mid-tempo song … it’s good but not great.
Yea i havent been to impressed with what she’s put out so far. She’s trying too hard to be edgy in my opinion. Be Yourself!
Jeesh, the new music is awfull =(
im sick of the try hard…
ive heard another song, and its just like these. no club banger has leaked yet. i have a feeling this album is gunna blow.
i tried watchin this again,..find something good…but it just looks like left overs from ‘Run This Town’..ugh
Can’t hear it because of computer restrictions, but I just read this in an article that was linked in “news”, and it really moved me. Rhianna said, “”It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. **I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the internet, and it’s my life.** I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was (supposedly leaked by) two women.”
(end quote). It might be a more introspective sound than people were expecting/hoping for…but maybe after a few listens it will prove to be more powerful than just a dance song. But I can’t call it now, because I can’t hear it. :)
Man, I feel a little bizarre considering the comments about this song and the last, but I’m really pumped about this album. I’m really glad to see Rihanna working with artists like Ne-Yo and The Dream and coming up with some new stuff. I really like the vibe of both of these songs and I’m interested to see what the rest of the album is like.
And I don’t think she’s trying too hard to be edgy. Frankly, I think she’s trying not to reproduce the exact album that she already beat into the ground and grow as an artist.
I agree, Mela. i think this is something that’s reflective of the person she is now, which to some degree, is noticeably darker and a little angry.
I really like both of these songs, even if their not ballads or dance tracks. Theyre just… kind of cool, i think. Definitely something different.
Oh and this video has a very mid-90′s MJB feel to it.
i do not get her video. :(
…. great video ! not sure about the song ! …
what in the world is she even singing about? fumble .. the wait is over.. its your turn.. i mean seriously.. the lyrics dont make any sense.. is it just me? and what the hell is up with the video.> LAME!
Why am I reminded of Spencer Pratt’s rap video by this? I dont think thats a good thing.
I agree with Kyle, she’s trying to hard, simply, I think this sucks.
I like morbid things. I like bizarre things. I like horror-esque things. I like dark things. I like all things “Rated R”
Ya’ll are just expecting the usual up-tempo dance type song to explode on radio and in clubs. Well Rihanna has grown personally and professionally and evolving as an artist. She doing her OWN THING! Deal with it – love it or hate it.
ugh, this is just ugly. poor rhianna. :/
She is trying to pull off an Aaliyah with the eye patch and it’s not working like it did for Aaliyah. Surprised she is releasing two slow songs to start. Nothing great….seems like her album might have been rushed to leverage the media she got.
This video looks like it was made in 1991, with the corset belly top and the fur coat. Also, what’s with the smoke she’s exhaling @1:31.
Overall, Fail.
BOO! Massive F for FAIL.
