This film reminds me so much of Juno. I mean back in 07 when Juno came out, i had been reading about it for months and months – also helped out by this very site Trent. I mean i had heard buzz about it and also about Jennifer Garner opting out of a pay or something like that. Taking way less but receiving and percentage of gross. Then i saw a small trailer and heard about music. Premieres at Film Festivals and standing ovations. I would reguarly check on Rotten Tomatoes to see if any new reviews came out (it was stuck on 100% for over a month based on a few reviews).

FInally it came out and i saw it first week! And this is so much like Precious. I heard of it through Mariah Carey. Reading about her upcoming film projects cause i totally thought her in film was dead. And then i read about the OTHER movie PUSH and they changed the title to Precious. Saw the trailer and nearly had tears. I mean the trailer alone, shows so much depth and emotion and realism of the movie. And the acting looks superb.

I really hope Gabby gets nominated for an Oscar. I know its too soon cause we haven’t seen the film. But she suits the character so well. The emotions on her face through scenes i’ve seen is just so REAL! I read an interview about her on set and how once the director would call “cut” she would totally drop out of character and start giggling like whom she really is. Talking about how someone like Meryl Streep stays in character and how she is such a great actress. But this Gabby has a lot of potential and I KNOW and she knows it.

AND since oprah is involoved i know it will be HUGE!

San Francisco’s Frameline is holding a special engagement tonight for their members. I saw a review of this movie last night and it looks like it’s going to be one intense movie and will definitely move you to tears. Also heard that Mimi was asked to drop the ‘diva’ attitude during the filming of this movie.

To say the book is amazing is bittersweet!!! The story is horrific, but her journey is epic! This is a must read and will definitely be a must see.

CAN’t wait to see this movie. I love the preview everytime that i see it so i can’t wait. I cry at the drop of a hat so i can only imagine what will be done in my seat. An ugly cry no doubt.

i cant wait to see this movie. its been awhile since ive looked forward to a film, and i have good feeling this movie wont disappoint. i mean the previews get me..i can only imagine what the movie its self will do. i have to get my hands on the book soon.

I’ve read the book and I’m anxious to see the film. The book was so sad and I know i’ll be bawling my eyes out too. I can’t wait to see how they portray some of the strong themes in the book to the film.

I can’t wait to see this movie. I love movies that give you a glimpse into someone else’s perspective, that make you think of life in a different way. I am sure there are many girls out there whose stories are similar to this horrifying tale, and I think it will do people good to recognize that this is happening.
