So does Dexter's Special Agent Lundy
Alpha Returns To ‘Dollhouse’

Altho Fox unceremoniously canceled Dollhouse earlier this month before the show even returned from its November hiatus, there is still much awesomeness to look forward to on the show. Here are a couple of promo photos from the upcoming eps Meet Jane Doe and A Love Supreme which are scheduled to both air on Friday December 11 … as you can see, Alan Tudyk returns as bad doll Alpha and Keith Carradine (known to some of y’all as FBI special agent Frank Lundy on Showtime‘s Dexter) makes his debut on the show:

It just sucks that the show has been canceled but, again, there are quite a few really great eps to come before it’s all said and done. Any time Alan Tudyk‘s Alpha makes an appearance, you know it’s gonna be a good time. I LOVE Carradine on Dexter so I know I’m gonna love him on Dollhouse, too. Remember, Fox will be airing 2 eps of Dollhouse on Fridays in December before it airs the last three shows of the series in January. There is still much reason to tune in … these teaser pics just prove it.

Charms the crowd on his way in and out
Zac Efron Visits ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’

Zac Efron, who is on the promo trail to support his new film Me and Orson Welles, paid a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman in NYC last night … and he brought along his perfect hair and his charming smile … behold:

Yes, the young scamp really knows how to get his fans all riled up … a small wave, a careful wink … and he’s got ‘em eating out of his hands. I’m kinda partial to the perfectly coiffed hair … which, to be honest, I find much more appealing than, say, Robert Pattinson‘s messy pile of hair on his head … but that is neither here nor there. After the jump, check out video of Zac‘s appearance on The Late Show last night …

The TV Guide
A Murder Of ‘Crow’s

Yesterday I posted a story about plans for a remake of the amazing 1995 film The Crow starring the late Brandon Lee … inspired by that post, I decided to dig out my DVD of The Crow and ended up watching all 4 movies based on the James O’Barr comic series:

I was reminded how amazing the original movie The Crow still is … and how horribly terrrrrrible the subsequent sequel films were/are. City of Angels was so bad on so many levels … it’s such a shame that it couldn’t've been better, especially considering how well the original film did with audiences. The next two films, Salvation (starring Eric Mabius and Kirsten Dunst) and Wicked Prayer (starring Edward Furlong, David Boreanaz and Tara Reid) were straight to video films that were even worse than City of Angels was. As terrible as these films are, I did have a fun time re-watching them again ;)

For dinner last night, I ventured out to the Valley to have me some cheese fries at the Outback Steak House:

Then I visited the nearby Krispy Kreme to pick up a dozen donuts to bring home:

I mean, they make it so easy … with a drive-thru and all. Yes, as much as I miss David I am enjoying my week of sloth :)

I may go to the movies tonight, especially since The Road based on Cormac McCarthy‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel just opened in theaters … not sure. I like not having to decide to do anything until I’m good a ready ;) Happy early Thanksgiving, y’all! I’ll be blogging tomorrow but just a little bit. I got some turkey eatin’ to get to tomorrow afternoon!!

Have Courage ... just not for dinner
President Obama Pardons His First Thanksgiving Turkey

President Barack Obama did his duty as our nation’s leader today and bestowed a presidential pardon for a very lucky turkey in order to spare him from the fate of many of his turkey cohorts this Thanksgiving season. In a ceremony at the White House earlier today (which was also attended by first daughters Malia and Natasha Obama), a turkey named Courage was chosen from all of the turkeys in the country for this special pardon and will NOT be made into Thanksgiving dinner. Instead, Courage will be flown FIRST CLASS to Disneyland here in SoCal to be marched down Main Street in a lavish parade tomorrow in his honor and will live out the rest of his days in Frontier Town at Disney. Here are a few photos from the fun event along with some deets about what went down:

After 10 months in office, President Barack Obama granted his first pardon Wednesday to “Courage,” a 45-pound turkey spared from the Thanksgiving table. Accompanied by daughters Sasha and Malia, Obama stood under the North Portico of the White House to honor a holiday tradition that dates to 1947 — receiving a bird from the National Turkey Federation. “I’m told Presidents Eisenhower and Johnson actually ate their turkeys,” Obama said. “You can’t fault them for that; that’s a good-looking bird.” President George H.W. Bush was the first to officially pardon a turkey. Obama joked about wanting to forgo the tradition and eat “Courage.” “Thanks to the interventions of Malia and Sasha — because I was planning to eat this sucker — ‘Courage’ will also be spared this terrible and delicious fate,” he said. Obama said he wished all American service members at home and abroad a happy Thanksgiving, saying it is a “tremendous honor it is to serve as commander in chief of the finest military in the world.” He also spoke about the first family’s plans for the holiday dinner. “Just like millions of other families across America, we’ll take time to give our thanks for many blessings,” Obama said. “We’ll also remember this is a time when so many members of our American family are hurting.” Obama noted that President Abraham Lincoln made Thanksgiving a holiday in the midst of the Civil War, “when the future of our very union was most in doubt.” “This is an era of new perils and new hardships,” he added. “So on this quintessentially American holiday, as we give thanks for what we’ve got, let’s also give back to those who are less fortunate.” After his remarks, the turkey was lifted to a table and Obama raised his hand over its head to deliver a mock-serious pardon. “You are hereby pardoned,” he said. Obama said “Courage” will get to spend the rest of his life in “peace and tranquility” at Disneyland.

As much as I love this tradition and am very happy that Courage will live out the rest of his “peaceful and tranquil” days at Disneyland, I have to admit that all I kept thinking during this ceremony was how much I want to eat turkey right now (it looks like Sasha was thinkin’ the same thing). I have been invited by some very dear friends to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with them tomorrow afternoon so I am really looking forward to that. As for Courage, well, I think we can all send him our best wishes this Thanksgiving … unlike many of his compatriots, it looks like his best days lie ahead of him :)

Interviews, performs ... gets censored
Adam Lambert Does ‘The Early Show’

Yesterday we learned that ABC decided to cancel Adam Lambert‘s scheduled performance on their morning show Good Morning America today due to the controversy brought on by his “shocking” performance at the 2009 American Music Awards on Sunday night. Shortly thereafter, we learned that CBS decided to book Lambert to appear on their morning show The Early Show in place of his GMA appearance … and he did appear on The Early Show earlier today. Adam talked about the controversy stemming from his AMAs performance and even performed a song off his new album … but then CBS did something that not even ABC did — they censored Adam‘s same-sex kiss with his keyboardist and then, in comparison, DID NOT censor video of Madonna kissing Britney Spears from the MTV VMAs during their interview piece. I mean … WTF??? Here are a few photos from Adam‘s appearance on The Early Show this morning:

Adam Lambert says the firestorm following his sexually-charged performance on Sunday’s American Music Awards show took him aback. He told “Early Show” co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez Wednesday he had “no clue. No clue at all,” his appearance would prove as controversial as it has. “I was really looking forward to it. I worked really hard with my dancers and my band for about two weeks putting that together. And, I admit I did get carried away, but I don’t see anything wrong with it. I do see how people got offended, and that was not my intention. My intention was just to interpret the lyrics of my song and have a good time up there.” His performance on the AMAs of “For Your Entertainment” was an elaborate and had an S&M theme. He fondled a dancer, led another around on a leash, kissed a man, and had a dancer briefly stick his head in Lambert’s crotch. After it aired unedited on the East Coast, right-wing groups such as the Liberty Counsel filed formal complaints with the Federal Communications Commission, demanding ABC be held responsible for airing the overtly sexual performance during primetime. Lambert told Rodriguez he didn’t plan to be so provocative, saying, “Those kind of came from more of an impromptu place. No, those were not rehearsed. So I think ABC was taken a little by surprise. That wasn’t my intention. I wasn’t being sneaky. It got the most of me, I guess.” He also said he’s “not a babysitter, I’m a performer” when asked if he wanted to apologize to parents of any kids who might have been watching. “I think it’s up to the parents to discern what their child’s watching on television,” Lambert said at one point. Later he observed, “I think it’s up to a parent to watch the television. It was almost 11:00 at night. If they’re concerned with certain material maybe Tivo it and preview it before your small child is watching it.” He added he thinks the reaction to his performance stems from a double-standard against gay males, asserting that, “If it had been a female pop performer … I don’t think there’d be nearly as much of an outrage at all.”

I totally agree … if it had been two women, like say Madonna and Britney Spears, there would not be this crazy hoopla. If you consider that even CBS decided to censor Lambert‘s same sex kiss …

… and then had no problem showing uncensored video of Madonna and Britney kissing at little later on The Early Show this morning, well, it’s very obvs a double standard. After the jump, watch video of Lambert‘s Early Show interview and watch him perform the songs Whataya Want From Me and Music Again

New day, New castmembers
First Look: Katee Sackhoff & Freddie Prinze, Jr. On ‘24’

Back in May we learned that Freddie Prinze, Jr. (who just became a new dad to baby girl Charlotte Grace with wifey and Buffyverse alum Sarah Michelle Gellar) would be joining the cast of 24 for their upcoming 8th season and in June we learned that Battlestar Gallatica album Katee Sackhoff would also be joining the cast. Last month we got our first look at a new trailer promoting season 8 of 24 which featured both FPJ and Katee along with another new castmember, Anil Kapoor (who starred as the douchey gameshow host in Slumdog Millionaire). Today, we get to check out 3 new promo photos of these new 24 castmembers in their roles on the show:

The first look of Katee Sackhoff on “24″ has been shared as some promotional photos that expose individual characters are released by FOX. The actress is a new addition to the CTU team, being placed as an analyst named Dana Walsh. The role is not only recurring but regular. Dana will work side by side with Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer. The character is described as “a highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst at the new and improved New York branch of CTU.” She reportedly will be entangled in a romantic relationship with field agent Davis Cole who is played by another new regular, Freddie Prinze Jr. The eighth season of “24″ will premiere on January 17, 2010. It will unfold in New York City amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations. In this new day, CTU has been upgraded and is run by MBA-schooled and razor-sharp head honcho Brian Hastings.

I am SO loving these new castmembers … I cannot wait for 24 to debut next year. 24 remains one of my fave shows ever and I’ve been counting down the days ’til it hits the air again. After the jump, check out 2 other new promo photos that feature our beloved 24 characters Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and Chloe O’Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub) …

Which is complete and UTTER bullshizz, IMHO
Donny Osmond Wins The 2009 ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Championship

Last night, the voting public and judges of the the ABC show Dancing with the Stars decided to name Donny Osmond as the new Dancing with the Stars champion … much to my complete horror and chagrin. Now granted I didn’t watch one second of the competition this season so I’m prolly not in the best position to speak so forcefully but I cannot, for the life of me, imagine that Donny Osmond gave a more successful performance over the amazing Mya (who was also in competition on DWTS this season) … but alas, ’tis so … Osmond ended up winning the championship in the end:

Donny Osmond was declared the new champion of “Dancing With Stars” on Tuesday night, taking home the show’s mirror ball trophy in the season finale of the ABC contest reality program. Osmond, the former teen pop star of the singing Osmond family, said the show has been a highlight in a career of ups and downs. “I did it!” Osmond exclaimed. He promptly rushed to the audience and plucked out his wife, Debbie, whom he carried across the stage. Helping push Osmond over the top was the tango he performed Tuesday with his professional dancing partner, Kym Johnson. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba hailed it as “artistry in motion.” It earned the top score of the final performances. Three celebrities made it to the finale of the show’s ninth season — Osmond, Mya and Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. The show picks a winner with a combination of judges’ scores and viewer votes. Mya entered as the favorite, having won the highest scores on Monday’s show. Dancing with Dmitry Chaplin, she performed a jive. “I’m just so happy to have made it to the finals,” Mya said after the loss. The 30-year-old singer is most famous for collaborating on the Grammy-winning hit “Lady Marmalade” from the soundtrack of 2001′s “Moulin Rouge!” Osbourne was the first of the three eliminated. With her famous family — Ozzy, Sharon and Jack — looking on, Osbourne and professional partner Louis Van Amstel danced to a cover of Ray LaMontagne’s “Trouble.” The 25-year-old was clearly moved and began crying after her last dance. She thanked the audience and said she had “grown so much” during the show. Co-host Samantha Harris said Osbourne had become “a swan.” The finale culminated a season of good ratings for “Dancing With the Stars,” which consistently ranked as one of the most-watched shows of the fall.

HMMM … isn’t that interesting … Mya, who I understand performed consistently and almost perfectly thruout the entire competition, scored the highest score on Monday night for the last judged performance and she still lost to Donny Osmond — who, I might add, was on Entertainment Tonight (an entertainment “news” program) on a semi-nightly basis whipping up support from viewers. I suspect Osmond, who is a staunch Mormon, prolly received a lot of support from the more conservative voters as well. To be honest, I’m not at all surprised … the show is a joke. After Melanie Brown lost on the show when she should’ve won and after Lance Bass also lost when he should’ve won, I no longer have any confidence in this crappy show as an actual determiner of dancing skill. But, I digress. After the jump, check out photos of the three finalists — Mya, Osbourne and Osmond — on ABC‘s Good Morning America earlier today …

"Let me entertain you 'til you screeeeeeaaaam"
Watch: Adam Lambert, ‘For Your Entertainment’

Adam Lambert, who created quite a stir with his performance of his debut single For Your Entertainment earlier this week on the 2009 American Music Awards, released the music video for that song on his official website yesterday with not a lot of fanfare. Methinks all the controversy kicked up his “shocking” performance (including getting uninvited from performing on Good Morning America due to his controversial performance on the AMAs) overshadowed everything else, including the release of his first solo music video. Here are a few caps from his new video:

The video itself doesn’t have a lot of action going on … just a lot of close-up face shots and walking around. Compared to the performance he gave on the AMAs on Sunday night, tho, the singing sounds really damn good. After the jump, check out the video for For Your Entertainment in full and see it for yourselves …

A Look Inside ‘One Day In The Life Of Daniel Radcliffe’

Entrainment Weekly is giving us our first look at a new book titled One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe which chronicles in photos one day of DanRad‘s life back in January when he was starring in Equus on Broadway. As you can see from the following photo, the photographer Tim Hailand was given all access, all day long:

Want to see Daniel Radcliffe shirtless? Photographer Tim Hailand’s got you covered! In his photo-driven book, One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe, Hailand features photos of the Harry Potter star rehearsing for his stint in the Broadway show Equus, eating his breakfast, and…stepping out of the shower. “There are a lot of young girls that want to get close to Dan,” Hailand says, “and this is a way to get close to him.” Hailand, who is donating a portion of the book’s profits to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, also enjoyed snapping pics of the star without his famous wizard garb. “You mostly see pictures of Dan as Harry Potter or in paparazzi photos,” he says.

What a great idea for a book … and passing around this mostly nekkid pic of DanRad is a good way to get people’s attention. After the jump, check out the book’s coverphoto and read a full description of the book from the photographers website which is the ONLY place you can buy the book …
