Scary and sad news to pass along today … it is being reported that Miley Cyrus‘s tour bus was involved in a deadly accident in Virginia last night that resulted in at least one reported death. At this point, there is no indication that Miley was injured in the accident but it is being reported that the bus that flipped over was the one that Miley usually rides in. 9 people are reported injured and, very sadly, the bus driver of the flipped bus has been reported dead:
A tour bus has crashed on Interstate 85, injuring several people and killing one. It happened at mile marker 55, that’s right in front of the rest area. Sources tell CBS 6 it is the tour bus of singer Miley Cyrus and that her driver has died in the crash. According to her Cyrus’ website her next concert is this Sunday in Greensboro, North Carolina. Our Senior Reporter Wayne Covil is on the scene right now and tells us Miley Cyrus was not on the bus and is not at the scene. We’ll have a live report on CBS 6 News at Noon.

Miley Cyrus’ tour bus driver was reportedly killed last night after a bus, believed to be the one she usually travels in, flipped over on a highway in Virginia … We’re told 9 people were injured in the crash. The 9 injuries, we’re told, are minor. So far we do not know the identities of the injured. A man at the scene says the bus appears to have drifted off the road for a fairly long stretch before tipping over … According to officials, Miley was on a bus that was part of a 4-vehicle caravan which included the bus that crashed. We’re told Miley’s bus was not involved in the crash.. Officials also confirmed the driver of the bus was the fatality, and one other person was transported to a local hospital due to injury. Officials are investigating whether the driver died before the crash or after — which could explain why the bus drifted off the road. Officials also tell us the roads were really wet from overnight rain. A rep from Dinwiddie Fire and EMS tells us the bus had been carrying Miley’s concert production crew — there were 14 passengers on-board.
Wow … this is just really horrible. No matter what anyone may think about Miley Cyrus and her music I’m sure no one wants to see her hurt … I’m very happy that she was not injured in this accident but my deepest condolences go out to the person who reportedly lost their life. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from this story … hopefull we’ll be hearing good news soon.
How terrifying. It sounds like the driver had a heart attack or something since no other vehicles were involved. Glad everyone else is okay.
i’m no miley fan, but i’m really glad she and most of the others are okay. she’s so important to so many young people, that it would be devastating if anything major happened to her. thoughts for the driver’s family, though. :(
That is crazy. I wonder if the bus driver did pass prior to the accident. Horrible but at least all the other occupants on the bus are okay.

But yeah, I love Miley, I think people need to cut her some slack, but it’s awful just how many people would think this is funny, you know? Loads of people will be just like Lola and probably get a good laugh out of it, and it’s not funny at all. I am glad Miley and the majority of her people are okay.
That’s terrible :( I dislike Miley, a lot. However, for some strange reason little children and tweens adore her, so I’m glad that she wasn’t on the bus and that she wasn’t hurt. I hope those that were hurt recover quickly, and my condolences to the family of the person who did pass away.
Though I do thinks its pretty insensitive that while some of her crew got hurt(and one passed away) she is still doing the scheduled show. I get the saying ‘the show must go on’ but by doing this, it seems like she doesn’t really care at all that a life was loss. She could have at least rescheduled it and waited a few days or so(until after the funeral) to hold the show. But hey that’s just my thoughts on the subject. Anyways, like I mentioned before, I hope everyone that was hurt recovers nicely :)

OMG! I cant believe this happen I really want to wonder if the bus driver had passed before the bus crashed. Cos he was having chest pains! I <3 you miley!
I realize she is a big thing for a lot of little girls but I sort of think this was extremely disrespectful by going on with the show. She should have cancelled it out of respect for the family of the driver and any one else injured. I know its a big deal to cancel a show but I would have completely understood in the event that she had to cancel. Just a thought.
i really do not like miley but after hearing this i feel so so bad!
