My beloved little brother has CML and while I wish KAJ didn’t have it as well, I am glad that he is going to bring awareness to this disease. People can live their lives while having CML as long as they take their meds and visit their doctors on a regular basis. It is not a death sentence if you don’t want it to be.
Go Kareem, go!
Go B, go!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Lady Gaga song and video! can not wait for the re-release of her album!

@Sweet_Lady — While I still feel Gaga tries way too hard, I am digging the ‘Bad Romance’ song … the video is just too much

I’m sorry but I can’t honestly believe that Heath Ledger would be dating Lindsey Lohan. It just sounds wayyyyyy to ridiculous and smacks of Lohan publicity.

Ok..I completely disagree with Carrie Prejean’s stance on gay marriage and I feel she’s gone overboard with it all, but showing that “sex tape” while undergoing negotiations for her lawsuit is a bit much..Isn’t that blackmail? Again, I’m not a fan of hers and I don’t share her beliefs, but it just seems wrong to bust out this tape to avoid having to pay as much..

IMO, I don’t think Lady Gaga tries to hard, I think she just has fun and isn’t afraid to be kooky. Not only did Gaga release her video, but she also broke some records! From Billboard: “Lady Gaga Breaks Record”
Lady Gaga is the first artist in the 17 year history of Billboard’s Pop Songs chart to notch four No. 1s from a debut album, as “Paparazzi” rises 3-1. The singer, recently honored as Billboards Rising Star, previously led Pop Songs with “Just Dance”, “Poker Face”, and “Love Game” from her debut release, “The Fame”.

@krissy — Gaga broke Paula Abdul’s record, who had 3 #1s from her debut album ‘Forever Your Girl’

i cant take anymore gaga. its allllllllllll the same.
same over done look
same over done sound
same over done moves
same over doneness period.

It’s official…Gaga is the new Queen! Finally an [art]ist. She’s in the same vein as Bowie, Grace Jones, late 80’s-late 90’s Madonna, even Michael Jackson to name a few. Ok, Marilyn Manson also. Bitch is crazy wild & inspiring. Fashion forward all the way. Trent she must be warming up to you by now? We know you used to hate on her. Plus it’s forgivable you’re conservative upper Midwestern roots. :)

@Jessica — LMAO :)
November 10th, 2009 at 1:56 pm
How can there be Aerosmith without Steven Tyler? That’s like the Stones without Jagger.
November 10th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
@Jessica – Are you serious? Lady GaGa has only been out for barely a year and everyone is already kissing her ass like it’s gold! While I agree that she has good artistic abilities, she tries extremely hard and it doesn’t always execute well. All of her moves in her career are extremely monitored which I think is stupid.
November 10th, 2009 at 4:07 pm
Chase, she’s only been out for a little over a year, but she has taken chances and gone places that other artists are scared to go. In all of the years of the VMAs, how many female pop artists have done a scary/horrifying performance? IMO, I think the “trying hard” is a good thing…who wants to watch a lazy performer? I have more respect for the artist who takes chances and falls a little short than the artist that plays it safe and goes nowhere.

Carrie Prejean is a B-I-T-C-H!!!!! Her behavior on The View was rude and unacceptable. Why does she have to be so defensive about everything? Even when Whoopi was respectfully trying to ask her if her religious convictions were as strong when she was 17. Spoiled. Rotten. Brat!
November 10th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
@Krissy – True, but I used to like her a lot more when she used to be herself. She has now become an attention whore. I used to like her when she first came out and nobody even knew who she was. I listened to her music and everyone called it shit and since she became popular everyone is like, “OMGAH! I luv Lady GaGa!#($*” and stuff. Her VMA performance got little coverage maybe that was because of Kanye. But still. Britney’s VMA performances are much more memorable in my opinion and that’s not because I’m a fan, either.

When people didn’t know who she was, she was doing this same type of thing in gay clubs, just on a much smaller budget. IMO her VMA performance did get a lot of coverage, but at the end of the day should “coverage” really be the goal? I am more interested in seeing a performance where an artist takes a risk, whether or not the masses deem it popular.
