Kristen Stewart Walks To Find A Cure For Juvenile Diabetes
Kristen Stewart, who has been bizzy these days doing promo work for the release of her new sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon, was on hand at Dodger Stadium here in Los Angeles, CA this weekend to lend her support for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes event. She was joined by sports star Sugar Ray Leonard … here are a couple of pics:

As you may or may not know, the JDRF’s mission is to “find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research” and their Walk to Cure Diabetes is an annual event held countrywide that seeks to raise awareness and funds for that research. I applaud and fully commend Kristen for lending her name and growing fame to such a worthy cause … if every Twilight fan were able to donate even a dollar to the cause, they would be able to raise huge amounts of money to help find a cure for diabetes. If you would like to lend your support for this cause, you can make donations HERE at their official website. Kristen Stewart wants you to help the JDRF … will you heed the call?

I’m so glad it looks like K-Stew finally got rid of that ridiculously bad black Joan Jett dye job. It looks like it’s now more of her natural brown color, which is much more flattering. Also, kudos to her to lending her name for a good cause. She seems very uncomfortable with her fame in general, so maybe she’s realizing that since it’s not going anywhere for awhile it can actually do some good.

Oh! This made me smile; my youngest sister was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes not even two months ago and it is really a life-long life and death situation. Its great seeing people with such a big name as her’s lending their fame to a great cause.
Yay Kristen and thank YOU for sharing!

Remember that she played a young girl with diabetes in Panic Room. She probably did her research at the time and became passionate about the disease. Fight the good fight, girl!
