As much as I would love a new album from britney, I think she should take a year or two off, raise her children, work on her voice and especially her dance moves. I want to see the moves we used to see, not weak ones……

  2. krissy Says:

I am happy for you guys! I gotta say though, it isn’t hard to churn out albums quickly when you have other people do 80% of the work on them. She brings her “flavor”, but the majority of her music is made from other people’s hard work (writers, producers, back up singers, etc.). But at least her fans are happy.

  3. Whitney Says:

I’m excited, but I’m ready for a new direction from Brit…I wish she would put more of herself into her songs like she did on the In the Zone album….

  4. Splick Says:

I agree with Whitney, new direction Brit-Brit…I also thought she would take a break ,oh well! I just wish she works with Nate Hillz again! There both brills…

  5. Andy Says:

I want her to rest for a while in all honesty, and then come back in tip-top shape. I always saw the Circus tour as an experiment, a pretty successful one at that, but I want the In The Zone Britney back. She’s not quite there yet except on certain moments when she clearly was enjoying herself. Like Bill said, have her spend more time with her kids and dancing and enjoying a well deserved hiatus before turning out a new album.

  6. CHASE Says:

Trent, you made me smile. : ) Anyways, Britney does write more than people think but Jive chooses the sexy songs over the meaningful ones she writes. She needs a new record company to support her. I agree that Britney desperately needs to go in a new direction! I want her to change pop music like she did with ‘Blackout’, you know? I wish she would take a year or two off as well. ‘In the Zone’ is best album and she wrote and co-wrote most of it, man.

  7. Kendra Says:

Am I the only one that’s tripping out that she’s 27?? When did THAT happen?? I hope that she doesn’t rush into anything..That if she does this album, it’s a really fun experience for her..And no touring for a while!!

  8. Jessica Says:

Whats Christina Aguilera going to do now???Christina has put off releasing her Cd so she wouldn’t have to compete with Britney….Britney’s afraid of going CRAZY living a normal life with her sons she never stays home even when she has time off.

  9. Tim Says:

I hope this isn’t true I don’t want to get SICK of Britney like I am with Beyonce.

  10. J Says:

People don’t realize that out of her last 3 albums, only 1 has pretty much been an album she didn’t put much effort into. That is Circus cause it was more of a rushed album to put her back into the spotlight on a positive note.

One may question the input she had with Blackout, but their is no denying she chose the direction she pursued. I would like more songwriting, but better yet, good music. So if good music means she doesn’t participate in songwriting (even though i loved In The Zone and is probably her best with blackout) – then so be it.

But after In the Zone she tried to create The Original Doll if everyone recalls. Pretty much all of the songs recorded were written by her and she chose the direction. Her label then said no to it cause they wanted something different after a long time off.

IMO – i dont care that Britney doesnt re-invent herself to drastic measures. For example how Christina Aguilera does. Mainly cause i like Britneys normal look and you don’t need a set theme to have different songs on your album. Anyway, i would really like a real Urban/Electro release. Blackout meets In The Zone. I reckon they need to introduce her to Urban Radio, i mean Gaga is on their.

Their was a rumoured demo with Lil Wayne – if she works with the right producers. Bloodshy & Avant, Danja, Sean Garrett and limits the producers to limit the different sound/genre – the album would be awesome!

  11. EssJay in Australia Says:

Given that she only mimes, who ’s the actual SINGER on the album?

  12. nicole Says:

honestly….i think she should work on getting her performing back to where it was, cause her dancing is sooo far gone right now – even in videos. and maybe work on looking like she actually wants to be doing this work in the first place.
but a part of me agrees with the person who said shes afraid of living a normal life..meh. i guess we’ll see…but i dunno…i see another circus album coming…not a In The Zone or Blackout.

  13. p Says:

I would be excited for a new album, but realistically i think it’s a bad idea. I have HUGE respect for Brit, coming out the end of a horrible time and being better for it. But i do feel we will see a repeat of the hair shaving fiasco if she continues like this.

  14. Eloise Says:

Her greatest hits album tanked massively, landing at #26 despite a #1 song. Brit should take a break and maybe actually have a hand in writing her music which she really hasn’t for the last two albums. It’s hilarious Britney fans praise Blackout when that is the album Britney had the least to do with. Might as well hire any “vocalist” and auto-tune their voice- it’s pretty much the same thing.

  15. Lana Says:

    @ the loser from Australia

Just because she “mimes” at her concerts doesn’t mean she isn’t the person singing on her records. Don’t be stupid. Obviously people do not care if they are willing to spend a lot of money to see Britney Spears. She is a living legend. I spent over $1000 seeing her twice on this tour alone. WORTH EVERY PENNY <3

  16. Amanda Says:

Oh. Another masterpiece on the way from producers and writers. She needs to put more of herself into songs and then maybe people will respect her as an artist, not just a performer.

  17. Alex Says:

    I love me some britney :D screw gaga,beyonce,rihanna :S

  18. emily Says:

uh does anyone else think she is going to burn out again? I think this is a bad idea. :/

  19. anne Says:

    @Krissy LOLOLOLOL i agree

  20. All Women Stalker Says:

Does she have enough material to produce a high quality album?
She looks great in that photo, though. Love the hair.

  21. EssJay in Australia Says:

    @ the bimbo Lana.
Spears is just another bitch with a drug problem who just can’t sing, and by comments in Australia at present, is not all that good dancing either. If she is fraudulent by miming at her concerts, how can we be sure that she is not defrauding the public by getting someone else to sing on “her album”? As for spending $1000, you’ve more money than sense. Pink – now there’s a living legend. She sings live whilst doing acrobatics. She doesn’t need to mime to someone elses vocals.

  22. Jinthemix Says:

Trent, it is WAY too soon for another Britney album.
She just did a grueling world tour, where her choreography was sub par and there was 0 live vocals. Her music videos also have hardly any dancing, and she has done little to no promotion. Circus (album) could have been a much better album. I suppose I’m just reminiscing on the old days, like the In the Zone era. That album was amazing, creative, and she had complete involvement. She needs to release something fresh and new. It’s sad that Britney is now just a cash cow that her management and record company continue to milk. Hence why they put her with hit maker Max Martin. Because that will bring in big bucks for them, but is nothing new and fresh. How many times can we hear Britney singing about f*cking her? In the Zone wasn’t overly sexual, and that was 100% Britney. It’s time for a change, and I think she needs to take a break and get it together before another album.

On top of all this, she’s deemed incapable to take care of herself and STILL under a conservatorship!! Free Britney!

[...] to Pink is the New Blog, Britney might just be releasing a new album this spring, which would be totally amazing!! While [...]

  24. Laura Jayne Says:

If this album rumour is true then I think it’s Britneys way of ending her deal with Jive. I then think she’ll take a break and come back (or not?) with her own control and style. In the Zone is my favourite album from Britney, I love it, and no-one else has an album like that. I loved the song Rebellion too. I’ve loved Britney from the very beginning and still do but I have to be honest and state that I have not enjoyed any of the Circus stuff. I know Britney is capable of far better, the album whilst enjoyable, is her record company trying to cling on to the past rather than move forward, going from Blackout to Circus was a bad idea. Radar and IYSA were terrible immature songs that kids should be singing, not Britney. TSC is just a way of completing another album on her Jive contracy. Britney needs to have more input on her albums and we’ll have brilliant things. I think she should also sing in her proper lower register, that you can hear on albums BOMT and OIDIA and on the unreleased tracks Let Go and Rebellion. Girl can sing but Jive and Larry changed her vocals for a different sound. C’mon Brit you’ll find it in Rebellion!
