‘Heroes’ Is Planning To Kill Off A Major Character
It’s beginning to look like the end is nigh for the NBC series Heroes … in an attempt to grab viewers, I am assuming, E! news is reporting that the producers of the series have decided to kill off a major MALE character … and you’ll never guess who it is!
Now, in order to keep the news as quiet as possible for those of you who wish to remain unspoiled, I’ll keep news of the reported death behind the cut. But I will say publicly that I was very surprised to learn that they are planning to axe one the main O.G.s from the first season. After the jump, find out who it is …
Boo!!! E!’s Kristin Dos Santos is reporting that Nathan Petrelli played by Adrian Pasdar is gonna be dunzo:
As I have been teasing for weeks, Heroes is killing off a major character later this season. The death is a huge twist for the show, so I didn’t want to ruin the surprise for you, but now that another outlet has leaked the secret, it’s time for me to reveal the truth: Adrian Pasdar’s Nathan Petrelli is the major character death happening on Heroes this season, and no, he wasn’t told he was getting fired, he learned about it from a script. But what about reports from fellow Heroes castmembers that the Petrelli brothers were definitely safe? After Heroes star Greg Grunberg recently told a radio station that Nathan and Peter weren’t the Heroes death, I doubled back with my source and he confirmed, “I know Adrian is getting killed off and was pissed about it because they didn’t tell him…Greg could be talking about another death, but I think he’s probably covering and throwing fans off.” And of course, Greg certainly doesn’t want to meet the same fate!
This news is really sad because Nathan Petrelli really is a great character on the show. When it comes to these kinds of death things … the audience could be pulled in to find out who will die OR they could be repelled out of anger. It’s a gamble … one that Heroes is hoping will pay off in huge ratings. What do YOU think about this axing?

EW has a story about this too. It was an Ausiello blind item. He found out that he was getting killed of when he read the script, they didn’t even bother to tell him…that is a big ole pile of crap!

I finally gave up on this show. My DVR went kooky and deleted last season’s finale and I realized I just didn’t care enough to watch it on-line. It makes me sad that such a great show came to this.

I totally agree but with that said I will with Ally. It is really hard for me to watch it anymore. It use to be such a good show!!

Sylar killed Nathan last season, that’s why Matt locked Sylar out of his own body and made him believe he was Nathan. But no, Nathan’s dead already. I think it’s Hiro cause he has an illness that no one has been able to cure as of yet and right now the show is really trying to make his character likable again so, i think, it has a more emotional impact when he dies.

@ Mark: Last nite we saw Hiro go back in time and get Sylar to save Charlie from her tumor. And since he’s at the carnival with Sylar…..i don’t think it’ll be him. I think “Sathan (Sylar Nathan) will save him. I kindof want it to be Matt, what happen to Molly, before he got back with his wife he had Molly to take care of but then that just fell off. The must have new writers or something because the new ones haven’t watched to old seasons.

@Mudarling of course the writers have no clue. If a storyline fails, they completely abandon it. Remember the Irish chick from Season 2 that went to the “future” New York with Peter and got taken away? Yeah, whatever happened to her?

This show had such a great concept, and now is just so boring and painful to watch. I still follow because I’ve invested too much time at this point, but it’s over and it has been for some time now.

I stopped watching halfway into season three. I just didn’t care what happened to the characters anymore. They should have let Sylar blow up the world the first time. Bring back Isaac so he can draw it!

@ Mark: TOTALLY Forgot about her….Where is she? and they just don’t care. What about Micah’s cousin…the one that could do everything she saw. I had such high hopes for this show but they just don’t care do they? If it’s really Nathan no one will care, not even Clarie she’s got 2 dad’s now she’ll just have one. It makes no sense.

This show is really starting to annoy. Poor Adrian Pasdar. The writers and everyone are a bunch of douchebags for not telling him he was leaving the show. I can’t even talk about how this show is going in the toilet.

the writers completely change course all the time, im sure he will pop back up again in some eye rolling manner, if only in a scene where he wakes up in the morning and realize he dreamed season 2-4, and we can go back to when the story was really worth it in season 1.

Nathan is dead already. His memory is in Sylar’s body though. If it’s Nathan than this big “shocking” death is going to be as lame as this show is becoming.

Even Sylar is becoming a bit boring. He has a conscious he loses it and kills the first person he sees, he falls in love and decides to be a good guy, then loses it again and kills his girlfriend, blah blah. That show is lucky that he’s hot.

LOL I guess even the people writing these articles don’t watch the show anymore. Adrian still got to act in a couple of episodes this season since Sylar is a shapeshifter but he was killed off last season.
When I read the headline I was really hoping it would be Parkman. Really the show could use some killing off of characters it’s gone so far downhill.

This is why I hate Heroes now – How the hell is this news?? He died in the season finale last season!! Somehow they are managing to kill the same character TWICE and then trying to claim it’s a “shocking twist”?? Wow … seriously pathetic.
