Earlier today we learned the disappointing yet not at all surprising news that Levi Johnston‘s Playgirl “nudie” photospread will NOT, I repeat will NOT show any penis. But this afternoon, Playgirl is giving us our first look at what we will be seeing when the photospread is finally released (link NSFW) later on this week … behold:

I find it very misleading for Playgirl to announce that Johnston will be “nude” and not mention that he will not be “full frontally” nude. It sounds like all we’re gonna get is a bunch of carefully posed photos that show bare ass, a hockey stick and not much more. To be fair, the photos can still be very hot as one needn’t show it all for a photo to be steamy (which is likely what this “wet armpit” preview photo wants us to believe) … it just seems incredibly lame for Levi Johnston to fall short of expectations, as it were, and wimp out on showing us everything he’s got to offer.
UPDATE: The Insider is airing a commercial that announces that they were on set for Levi‘s Playgirl shoot and will preview some of the pics tonight — after the jump, check out a couple of screencaps from that commercial to get a peek at what’s in store …
LOL! I don’t normally watch The Insider or Entertainment Tonight … but tonight’s eps might be worth DVRing so that I can catch the LULz from Johnston‘s Playgirl photoshoot set.

What’s sad is I actually have an armpit fetish, and his armpit does nothing for me.
I am actually glad he didn’t. He is only 19. He is still just a baby. And he seems rather misguided… I feel bad for him. And it makes me dislike Sarah Palin even more for feeding into this and prolonging it.

okay good i’m glad i wasn’t the only one totally weirded out by that weird armpit hair. i get that’s it’s wet but really… it just looks kind of abnormal. ugh he is so not sexy to me… but his fame-hungry, douchey, will-say-anything about sarah palin-to-bring-attention-back-to-himself personality is probably the main culprit.
He looks like Jordan Knight, but since I know its not Jordan Knight, Playgirl would have been better off with Jordan Knight cause this dude sucks. I mean come on, get a dream! get a goal, get something!

If it was just his face and shoulder sans armpit, I think he would look pretty good. But yeah, the armpit just kind of ruins it. I am glad he isn’t showing everything, at least he gets to keep some dignity. I think Sarah showed her true colors on Oprah where she said she wasn’t going to talk about him, and in the same breath started making fun of him. She dragged him into the spotlight as a prop for her career plans, and now she treats the father of her first grandchild like garbage. Maybe if she treated him with more respect earlier, he wouldn’t have so many bad things to say about her. He would not have a platform from which to speak from if she didn’t exploit him at the Republican Convention.

Oh, great. I’ll admit I think he’s normally kind of cute, if only because he’s got that whole dopey boy-next-door look going on, but I see they’ve just made him look like every other playgirl model ever, smoldering “sexy” seriousness and all.
