Demi Moore Does ‘W’ Magazine
Demi Moore, self-proclaimed puma (don’t call her a cougar), is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of W magazine. In her coverstory interview, Demi talks about getting older, her status as Queen of the Pumas and does some promo for her new films Happy Tears and The Joneses. Here is Demi’s W cover and some excerpts from her coverstory interview:
In the December issue of W magazine, the seemingly ageless Demi Moore, 47, talks about everything from being labeled a “cougar” for her relationship with Ashton Kutcher, 31, to aging in Hollywood. The former box office star, who stars in two upcoming indie films “Happy Tears” and “The Joneses” — and is also the face of the new Helena Rubinstein women’s fragrance “All You’ve Ever Wanted,” — says getting older has affected her acting career. “The frustrating part is that the type of roles I’d be interested in are not really coming to me,” says Moore, whose buff physique helped her attain roles like “G.I. Jane” and “Striptease.” “I hate to say it’s a function of my age—but yes, I think in some ways it is. The majority of [female] roles are geared between 25 and 35.” And about her “cougar” title, Moore prefers “puma.” “I’m certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man, but somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl,” says Moore, who first met Kutcher six and a half years ago. “I don’t know why that is. But I just kind of step back sometimes and say, ‘There is some reason, and what is it that I have to share in a positive way?”
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Demi Moore out on the promo trail promoting a new project. To be honest, I can’t think of a thing that she’s done since she appeared in Charlies Angels 2: Full Throttle. And, hello, she still looks amazing. A lot of people like to say that she is lucky to have a younger man like Ashton Kutcher but I think he is the lucky one. Actually, she’s only really done one film and that’s Strip Tease. Her whole career has been a failure but at least she looks good! : ) It’s kind of sad that she even looks better than her two much younger daughters… yikes!

Demi more did more than Striptease, she was in Ghost, which was awesome, and I think she was in the breakfast club, which ive never seen. Striptease did suck tho.

Her body is out of control! And not just for a 40 something year old woman! She can be right up next to any 20 year old and still have the better body! It’s disgusting and I hate her.. ;) I’m pleasantly surprised that her marriage to Ashton has lasted this long..He’s so damn cute! He must have girls throwing themselves at him constantly!

Duh Ghost!!! One of the Best Movies Ever. And Indecent Propsal and A Few Good Men. The early ’90’s was the best times of her career thus far. Ashton was probably in middle school. HA Go Puma!! She looks totally hot.

she’s been in all kinds of movies – especially in the 80’s – one of my personal favorites is ‘one crazy summer’ with john cusak. she DOES look great… then again, so would anyone after the plastic surgery she had when she was gearing up for her role in charlie’s angels. but, in her defense, she has done a spectacular job of maintaining it! you go girl! i hope to see you in more movies! <3

She was in St. Elmo’s Fire (not Breakfast Club), The Scarlet Letter, Ghost, G.I. Jane, Mortal Thoughts, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, Disclosure, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (voice of Esmeralda), and lots of other movies!

Loved her in St Elmo’s Fire. “I never thought I would be so tired at 23″ She was really really good in that.

She was the “fake Laura”’s sister on General Hospital – Jackie Templeton – sad that my brain is filled with stuff like that. She was also in “About Last Night” – one of the BEST 80’s movies – with Rob Lowe.

Demi and Ashton were at the Iowa football game on Saturday and you could see how happy they are together. They looked like they were having a lot of fun and they seemed normal. It was fun seeing them in such a relaxed setting. And she is just as beautiful in person.

I’ve never really been a big fan. Or a fan. I’m indifferent to Demi for some reason…she bores me. I don’t care how smokin’ her body is or how young of a husband she has but she just doesn’t do it for me. I think maybe I’d find her more interesting if she revealed more substace about herself.
I mean if you haven’t been promoting yourself in a while and the first and only things you have to talk to are about your age and it’s relevance in h-wood and how you’re a “poster girl” for having a young guy, and how you prefer “puma” to “cougar” – I mean, come ON! That is the boringist shit! For an experienced woman who’s been around a while, I would think that by now you would have more meaningful thoughts and ideas to share with the world that such trifle fluff.

No, she’s not that thin in real life, as you can obviously see in any candid pictures where she looks great.
Those photos have obviously been photoshopped to death for some reason. Like Badphotoshop said, look at her exposed hip vs. the thigh underneath. Physically impossible.
So that’s good news, as it means she has actually more meat on her body than that and is more healthy!
Why W would feel the need to photoshop her that much to make her look sickly thin is beyond me though.

No. There is no photoshopping of the thigh/hip in this photo. The thigh/hip area is natural. The “dimple” is a consequence of the pose.
I found a photo of an old sculpture of a female model in the classic contrapposto pose. Although the model is much heavier, she has the dimple in her thigh/hip area. I went a step further and traced the model’s outline, much like bbonyx at BoingBoing did with the Demi photo. Then, I compared the two. See the results below:
