Full disclosure of the existance of sexual videos/photos is required, per pageant rules and regulations, when signing the pageant contract. Failure to do so is grounds for disqualification from the pageant and termination of the contract. This is the justifiable and legal right of the pageant officials. Carrie Prejean did not disclose the fact that she had made/transmitted 8 (that are known of as of 11/15/09) sexting masturbatory videos and posed for/transmitted 30+ risque photos (that are known of as of 11/15/09). This knowledge would have rendered her ineligible to enter the pageant. For someone who was never eligible to have competed in the pageant from day one, Carrie Prejean sure subjected America to one hell of a train wreck of tragic, dramatic, political, legal and religious proportions. And we just couldn’t – and still can’t – take our eyes off of it. Wwwhhheee!!!

Doesn’t the Bible mention that our bodies are temples? If so, wouldn’t getting breast implants be a desicration of that temple? And honestly I don’t think people would have been so upset/annoyed with her answer at the Miss USA Pageant if she had given her response with any kind poise instead of fumbling through it like that Miss Teen USA contestant. We are all used to people speaking out against gay marriage, and while I will never agree with any of them, at least most can complete a sentence without sounding clueless. On top of that, you can’t champion the first amendment while at the same time you’re complaining about someone else’s use of it. I can be a hypocrite many a time, but at least I can admit it.

The people who say that others are hating on her just for her stance on gay marriage must be intentionally blinding themselves to her inarticulate interviews. She is beating a dead horse into the ground, crying victim while trying to profit from the incident that she claims victimized her. Do you not see the irony in the fact that she says her freedom of speech was hindered, while at the same time she has done 20+ interviews on TV? That doesn’t make you pause just a bit? As others have said, there are far more intelligent people who could present that side of the issue in a much better way. I agree with Tracey when she says, “If you feel strongly enough about it to bring it up to the media, you should feel strongly enough about it to have an educated debate or discussion about it.”

i think at the sentence ‘sarah palin is my hero’, i completely rolled my eyes. i’m so sick with all these idiotic women having all the limelight! my gosh ! where are the smart, inspirational women who try and make a difference and who aren’t just plain fame whores?? also, those celebs who are gracious and lovely and who are awesome role models do not get enough limelight.
i think the lime light should be saved for people who have talent and are inspirations-not for the kim kardashians and lauren conrads of the world (this doesn’t mean i hate them, i actually like them. i just don’t think they have shown any real ‘talent’ of theirs yet)

Yes, she is entitled to her opinion, but why bring it up in the media if you’re not prepared to defend or explain your opinion? Yeah I think she has a little more attitude now then before but when the topless photos were out she wasn’t being a diva or having attitude. She just now is because she’s getting fed up with all the insistent questions (especially if she said repeatidly she’s not going to talk about confedential moderation discussion further plus they took viewer calls for questions which she requested no outside calls, Michelle obama has a list of dos and fonts for interviews too)
I mean ya she’s a little drama quuen with ending the interview but many celebs do that!!! Taylor Swift did and hung up when someone repeadily asked about kanye. Good Charlotte quit an interview on the spot this week too! I mean so what? When did she ever say she was perfect??? What this moral high ground talk? Is there an example of this?????? So just because she has a “naughty” past but preaches against gay marriage makes her look like she thinks she’s on a moral high ground??? How dies that make sense? I’m really not advocating for her…(I live in sf and I’m not even christian for christsake!) I just think her haters are lashing out hella and being haters against her opinion. she just has an opinion get over it! People are allowed to be against gay marriage!!!!!! I have no concern in the world about what Carrie “fucktard” Prejan thinks about gay marriage. Yes, I am a supporter of gay marriage, but I know plenty of people who oppose it, some of whom are my very best friends. If she didn’t come off with such a bitchy little diva attitude and wasn’t so rude then maybe people would like her. If she had something to say that was actually worth listening to, then I wouldn’t care. But this bitch parades around like she is fucking hot shit, and really she’s not. Then she says she is a role model to girls (the same kids I WORK with every day as a youth leader), but she has her tits done and has a sex tape. Yes, that’s exactly what I look for in a role model. This bitch is a walking contradiction. So no, it doesn’t have anything to do with her beliefs in gay marriage. She is not the only person to ever say those words in the media. She just needs to fade into obscurity NOW and save what very, very, very little dignity she has left.

Yes, I believe people began disliking her (some maybe hating her) for her opposition to gay marriage, which is unfortunate but that’s just how it is. Some Christians dislike or hate (yes HATE) people for even supporting gay marriage.

HOWEVER, she CHOSE to “write” a book and to go on national television and place herself in a position as a spokesperson for the Christian community. She could have said NO when asked to go on interviews, she could have said NO when asked to write a book about her experience. The point is, she didn’t. She decided to take advantage of the opportunity.

Now, the reason we REALLY don’t like her isn’t just because she doesn’t support gay marriage (and actually, I never not liked her b/c of that, I only began disliking her when her racy pictures, etc. came out because her hypocrisy really came out), but because of what previous posters and Trent have said. She puts herself on a high moral ground. She has created a delusional world for herself where what she does is somehow okay but not how other people people live their own lives.

She says the bible doesn’t say there is anything wrong with getting breast implants? Well, maybe I’m wrong, but I’m sure the bible leaves out a lot of little things Christians shouldn’t do, things that were NOT possible when the bible was written. Oh wait, were breast implants possible when the bible was written? :)

I’m done, I could write a whole book on this girl, but I CHOOSE NOT TO.

alana is right – the real reason why people here hate on Ms. Prejean is because of her stance on gay marriage.
I personally am opposed to gay marriage, but I think that the traditional marriage crowd and the evangelical christian community in general need to cut ties with this girl. And SHE needs to realize that she is NOT spotlight ready. Just because she used to be able to answer a few fluffy questions in a pageant does not mean she’s ready for hard core press interviews and certainly not when the deck is VERY much stacked against her by virtue of her outspoken positions. She does not have the intellectual chops to back up what she’s saying – she can acquire that kind of fire power, but she needs to start talking less and reading more. Classic of my generation (the millenials) we think that just because we’ve got a pretty face and can go viral in the internet, that our books should be bestsellers and we should be famous forever and ever. If Carrie wants to make a career out of her opinions, my advice to her would be to make sure she has the ability to think on her feet and come up with better responses than storming off set. Even if Larry King did ambush her and violate an agreement not to take callers (and with a cheap shot about gay marriage no less) – she should be in a place where she can handle it with grace and a witty comeback instead of falling apart and making a fool of herself.

She would be better to take her money and fade away into a normal, quiet existence instead of trying to turn her 15 minutes into a career.
Larry King was being a douche and a creep and it’s pretty clear that the whole interview was a set-up…but her PR team should know better. She’s an easy target because she cannot think on her feet, she’s inarticulate. She is, quite frankly, a HORRIBLE apologist for the views she supposedly espouses and I for one am frustrated that we have to keep listening to her when there are many more intelligent, articulate options out there to speak for the cause.

The fact is that if she hadn’t spoken out about gay marriage, bloggers like Trent wouldn’t give a crap about her. But since she dared challenge the sacred cow, she’s a prime target for them. She and her handlers need to realize that she’s doing more harm than good at this point and sound the retreat.

I wish her well, but hope she refrains from live TV interviews from now on.

I wish more people on this forum and in general would come forward and admit there problem with her is her stance on gay marriage. Instead they say they don’t like her because “she places herself on a moral high-ground and is contradictive” or that she isn’t a victim because she is putting herself in the spotlight and that she (as Trent said) is “not intelligent enough and needs to get a clue” – not just Trent but many people say she’s not intelligent and others call her a bitch. I mean damn. I could care LESS about her but how can people say that she isn’t being scrutinized for her beliefs? She is. Just admit it. People contradict themselves ALL the time. So why is it different when she contradicts herself? What if we scrutinized gays for going to church because they are contradicting their religion and going to church? Wouldn’t that be ridiculous? People can have a sex tape or pose topless and not agree with same-sex marriage. Just like its okay to be gay and Mormon or being black or being republican and for gay marriage or being liberal and supportive of the Iraq war. I mean who cares if she is contradictive? I’m pretty sure everyone has clashing opinions!! How does that make her a bitch or “unintelligent”??? She is being called “contradictive “and bad names all the time and she’s sick of it….that’s why she made her little book. To complain. Can you blame her? anyways I’m just sick of people finding loopholes on why they hate her because they know if they said they hate that she supports traditional marriage they would seem closed minded so instead it’s because she’s “stupid, contradictive, bitch” I mean just call for what it is, you hate her opinion and you want to scrutinize her for it.

I can’t help it. I feel for her. I doubt anyone wants to be treated like this, but I will admit that she doesn’t help anything by putting herself out there. I actually don’t agree with anything she says, but considering this all stemmed from her honest answer to a sensitive question, I feel bad for her. She was kinda of thrust into this position in the beginning. Yes, she has taken it too far, but she just wanted to win a beauty contest only to have it spiral out of control.

IAmanda, think that she invited the criticism because 1.) She put herself on a moral pedestal 2.) She threw stones at other people who DISAGREED with her. Disagreeing is not an attack, it is not “punishment”. Yet, her pitch that she makes on every platform that she is given is that she was attacked and some how punished for speaking her beliefs. She says her freedom of speech was restricted, when really she can’t handle other people invoking their right to free speech when they disagree with her. The idea that her freedom of speech has been hindered is in stark contrast to reality, where she actually was rewarded and given many more opportunities to speak her mind because of the question she was asked (her book deal, for example). You are right, we all have skeletons. The difference is that she sought fame on the basis that she was “Biblically Correct”, which clearly she is not.
