Britney Spears Sets Concert Ticket Sales Record In Sydney, Aus
Despite the fact that Britney Spears may have received some negative reviews during her current Australian tour, it turns out that our dear Britney is getting the last laugh and is enjoying much success on her first ever Aussie tour. It is being reported that Britney set a new record in concert ticket sales at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Aus selling over 66, 000 tickets over four performances … topping the record set earlier this year by Coldplay:
Britney Spears has broken the record for concert ticket sales at Sydney’s Acer Arena with a total of 66,247 tickets sold across 4 nights. Britney Spears ticket sales exceed the previous record set by Coldplay in March 2009 when the record stood at 59,391. Ticket sales record for sales in excess of 40,000 tickets at Acer Arena now stand at:
1. Britney Spears – Nov 09
2. Coldplay – Mar 09
3. Justin Timberlake – Oct 07
4. Eagles – Nov 04
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers – Apr 07
6. Bette Midler – April 05
7. Neil Diamond – Mar 05
Woot!! I bet Britney is thankful for this accomplishment this year :) I’m constantly amazed by the fact that no matter how much negativity is thrown her way, Britney Spears always manages to come out on top. That girl lives a very charmed life … I hope she truly appreciates it all.

add that to the sales records for Perth’s Burswood dome as well, and I think you can call this tour a mega success! but one bad first review by a sub par journalist tainted her whole tour!

Kristina, AC/DC by all means will never perform at the Acer Arena unless its for an awards type show.

AC/DC will be performing all their Aussie shows in STADIUMS! Yep, ya heard me correctly. And just to clarify (if they ever performed in Arena’s) that tickets for their aussie STADIUM shows sold out in the fastest time ever than any other concert thats come to Australia. That includes Coldplay, Pink or even Michael Jackson back in the day.

Well, her tickets were selling at $50 in Sydney the week leading up to her concert. Maybe that’s why she managed to sell so many tickets.
