Adam Lambert, newly single from his boyfriend Drake LaBry and a member of Out magazine’s Out 100 Honor Roll, was spotted on the LA set of his new music video (presumably for his new single For Your Entertainment) with a few of his closest, kinkiest friends … behold:
LMAOOOOOOOOOO … this video is going to be AWESOME because I can just tell it’s gonna be AWESOMELY BAD! You gotta love the guy in the third photo who is pinching is own nipple so that it can be all nice and perky by the time he shoots his scene in the video. The bald-headed guy in the loincloth thong is another nice touch. I’m not sure if I can handle all the cheese but methinks that Glambert is gonna give us all the cheese he can come up with. I’m sorry, y’all, but I have such a hard time taking this kid seriously … I mean, seriously. I hope he knows what he’s doing … it’d be such a shame for so much talent to go to waste because the poor guy sabotages his own career by overexposing his ridiculous image. Does any of this look impressive to you?

Thanks, Trent. Off the top of my head, Christina Aguilera’s (hetero!) “Dirty” stuff, was over the top & was also coming from someone who’s talent didn’t need any spectacle.
I have no problem with it, but he needs to speak up about the audience he’s “targeting”. Seeing as parents let their kids watch & listen to anything (I could do that– hand me some kids, if that’s all parenting involves) & A.I. is a family show, maybe he should do a press release about how old he is (20-something?) & that he’s an adult w/an adult career, performing for a grown/mature audience now. He’s not trying to be the next teen sensation. Not that anything is wrong–but let kids be kids while they can. They have decades ahead of them to worry about what sexual buttons are being pushed by whatever they’re watching. I could be way off…. discuss!

I just think Illise meant he is playing up his “gay” image. Lay off guys, you know how things can be taken wrong when you write them out. Gay or not, it’s way too over the top. He would have fit in great in the early years of MTV in the 80′s though!

Um, no… It depends on the context of the video though and whether or not these scaries take themselves seriously in the music video. If it’s all for laughs, then I think it’s clever, if he thinks this look is provocative and sexy, then um, no.

So, if you want John Mayer, listen to him and watch his video. Adam is exciting, fun, over the top, and everything he does is FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT. He is smart, articulate, interesting, nice, and never has an unkind thing to say about anyone else,,,,,,,, unless you are Gene Simmons.
Why can Pink and Lady GaGa be over the top but it is some kind of sin for Adam to do the same. There is room on my music list for Muse, Pink, Aerosmith, G ‘n R, Josh Groban, Madonna, and now Adam. I’m saving LOTS of room for Adam because I think he will be with us for a very long time.
