Yesterday I posted a story about plans for a remake of the amazing 1995 film The Crow starring the late Brandon Lee … inspired by that post, I decided to dig out my DVD of The Crow and ended up watching all 4 movies based on the James O’Barr comic series:

I was reminded how amazing the original movie The Crow still is … and how horribly terrrrrrible the subsequent sequel films were/are. City of Angels was so bad on so many levels … it’s such a shame that it couldn’t've been better, especially considering how well the original film did with audiences. The next two films, Salvation (starring Eric Mabius and Kirsten Dunst) and Wicked Prayer (starring Edward Furlong, David Boreanaz and Tara Reid) were straight to video films that were even worse than City of Angels was. As terrible as these films are, I did have a fun time re-watching them again ;)
For dinner last night, I ventured out to the Valley to have me some cheese fries at the Outback Steak House:

Then I visited the nearby Krispy Kreme to pick up a dozen donuts to bring home:

I mean, they make it so easy … with a drive-thru and all. Yes, as much as I miss David I am enjoying my week of sloth :)
I may go to the movies tonight, especially since The Road based on Cormac McCarthy‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel just opened in theaters … not sure. I like not having to decide to do anything until I’m good a ready ;) Happy early Thanksgiving, y’all! I’ll be blogging tomorrow but just a little bit. I got some turkey eatin’ to get to tomorrow afternoon!!

Hope the bite from the top right hand donut was yours!! Have a happy Thanksgiving holiday!!!!
@Wendy — Hahahaha!! That donut acutally has a box dent, not a bite ;) I’ve since eaten it so … it’s a moot point anyways :) Happy Thanksgiving to you too!! xoxo
My dad and stepmom are going out of town for the rest of the week and I’m so excited! Movies, junk food, and everything else…! : )
OMG – I’d kill for a krispy kreme! And those f’ing fries look AMAZING!! I’m jealous!! : ) Happy Thanksgiving Trent & any one else reading this!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!! I read the Road because you recommended it and it was AWESOME! I Have since bought it for about 10 people who also praise it! I can’t remember what book that is on next to your Yummo cheese fries but that was going to be my next read. Can you tell me what it is again?? Damn holiday cheer is making my memory faulty!
@Mr. Gyllenhaal — OMG, I bought The Road for a bunch of people too! It’s a great book to give as a gift. We are reading Everything Is Illuminated as our next book :) Happy Thanksgiving!!
Trent, you’re so cute. I love that you have a day of solitary dining out & chillaxin’ with no qualms about it :) Have an awesome Thanksgiving :)
OMG Trent! Cheese fries and 12 Krispy Kreme donuts! I can hear your atreries coming to a complete hault! ;-)
As a side note. I spent the day at Skate World in Troy today. Such a blast from the past! Nothing has changed from the 80′s. Did you spend any time there as a youth? You should check it out next time you are in
the D.
@Trent – how do you stay so thin?! PLEASE tell me you are not bulimic ;)
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I love the chocolate raised from Krispy Kreme. Probably a good thing there isn’t one near me. I used to do KFC and Krispy Kreme once in awhile. Gotta love the drive thru. Cheese fries sound really good also. Happy Thanksgiving. I am now craving Krispy Kreme, darn you.
Outback and Krispy Kreme? Trent, you are my hero, brutha!
However, for your next dining extravaganza, might I recommend (Insert ominous Darth Vaderish tone)…THE LUTHER.
It’s a bacon double cheeseburger with grilled Krispy Kremes for the bun. Pure heart clogging bliss.
we got outback steakhouse in australia near where i live last year… i go there all the time! cheese fries are heaven!
The Road is a worthy read, and stayed with me for days after. It does not, however, leave you with the warm-fuzzies.
Omg Krispy Kreme. We dont have those stores in my city anymore. :( :(
I’m jealous of your life Trent. I’m always at work 24/7 so I can barely ever have slothy nights. Can we switch please?
Aaaahhh… stop! You are making me crave bad things… :P
I can hear your arteries closing from the East Coast, Trent!
*Jealous of said donuts*
As lovely as being married is, I would LOVE to have a few days all to myself! I never get that. Enjoy it! I’m jealous.
I think that Outback and Krispy Kreme might back the second thru fourth Crow movies tolerable! ;)
Happy Thanksgiving, Trent!
Ah poor Americans who have to eat Krispy Kreme instead of the vastly superior Tim Hortons donuts. When you pick up a (KK) donut that small and you think, “wow this is heavy” then you know that it’s proooobably the unhealthiest thing you’re going to eat all month.
Every time we venture to Outback or the Olive Garden (which my buddy has nicknamed “North Burbank” because it’s soooooo far from WeHo), it’s a given that we’ll swing through the drive-thru and pick up a delicious dozen. How can you not? Happy Turkey Day!
oh your poor arteries…but YUMMY!!! I agree with Eric, Tim Hortons here in Canada rocks! mmmm mmm good! especially Tim Bits!!! Next time you’re in New York, there is a Timmy’s in Grand Central now, check it out! get a Double Double with it. Did you ever see the “How i Met Your Mother” episode that takes part in a Tim Hortons? lol hilarious….
