A Look Inside ‘One Day In The Life Of Daniel Radcliffe’

Entrainment Weekly is giving us our first look at a new book titled One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe which chronicles in photos one day of DanRad‘s life back in January when he was starring in Equus on Broadway. As you can see from the following photo, the photographer Tim Hailand was given all access, all day long:

Want to see Daniel Radcliffe shirtless? Photographer Tim Hailand’s got you covered! In his photo-driven book, One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe, Hailand features photos of the Harry Potter star rehearsing for his stint in the Broadway show Equus, eating his breakfast, and…stepping out of the shower. “There are a lot of young girls that want to get close to Dan,” Hailand says, “and this is a way to get close to him.” Hailand, who is donating a portion of the book’s profits to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, also enjoyed snapping pics of the star without his famous wizard garb. “You mostly see pictures of Dan as Harry Potter or in paparazzi photos,” he says.

What a great idea for a book … and passing around this mostly nekkid pic of DanRad is a good way to get people’s attention. After the jump, check out the book’s coverphoto and read a full description of the book from the photographers website which is the ONLY place you can buy the book …

"I want to reach as many people as possible … I don’t mind compromising."
John Mayer Does ‘Details’ Magazine

For those of you who have been able to wrestle yourselves away from those photos of Taylor Lautner on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine, I thought you might like to know that John Mayer is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Details magazine … here is his coverphoto:

John talks candidly to Details about his famous ex-girlfriends, his reputation as a womanizer and what he thinks about all those people that hate him. Here are a couple of quotes from his Details coverstory interview:

On creating pop music: “I don’t know if you know, but I’m not exactly Bob Dylan – I’m already a pop musician…I want to reach as many people as possible…I don’t mind compromising.”

On people hating him: “What if I had a booth on the street and I said, ‘Attention everybody who hates me: If you have a problem with me, I’m ready to hear your gripes! I will be outside the Barneys store on 60th Street from two to four this afternoon…I will only be speaking to people who not like me. Come out and let me have it.’ How many people do you think would be standing there?…Ze-ro.”

Hahahahaha … he’s prolly right about that booth on the street thing but I’d still LOVE if would give it a try. John Mayer is who he is and he is very unapologetic about that. Love him or hate him, he’s a pretty straight shooter … you gotta admire him for that. After the jump, check out a couple of photos of John in the pages of this new issue of Details magazine which you may love OR hate …

Rihanna Promotes ‘Rated R’ In NYC

Rihanna, who’s new album Rated R was finally released on Monday, spent a bizzy night and day in NYC yesterday and today promoting that album release. Last night, she did an in-store appearance to sign copies of Rated R and this morning she performed on the Good Morning America stage … here are a few photos:

As you may recall, Ri Ri was here in SoCal to perform on the American Music Awards on Sunday night — and last week she even performed on the world’s largest cruise ship off the coast of Florida … so she is working hard to get folks interested in buying her album. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a promo copy before the album was released and while I enjoy it very much, I’m not really blown away by it. Have any of y’all bought the album yet? Do you love it? Hate it? Is any of this promo gettin’ you interested in picking up Rated R?

Taylor Lautner: The ‘Rolling Stone’ Photos

Earlier today I posted the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine featuring Twilight star Taylor Lautner … but when I posted, Rolling Stone had yet to release any of the photos from Taylor‘s photospread or any excerpts from his coverstory interview … they have since updated their site and released a whole slew of photos:

Additionally, the mag has released the online version of his coverstory interview … but who gives a shizz about that?!? Grab the smelling salts and clutch those pearls, y’all. After the jump, check out some of Taylor‘s hawt Rolling Stone photos …

The TV Guide
Double Feature, Double Fun

So … I spent much of yesterday on the couch watching sappy movies, just minding my own business, having the time of my life. When I realized that I was bawling my eyes out to Mr. Holland’s Opus, I knew it was time to get out of the house. Incidentally, and to digress for a moment, Mr. Holland’s Opus was one of the movies that was playing in theaters when I worked at the AMC Theater in Oklahoma City when I was in collage (along with Fargo, Richard III and others). I had seen the beginning and end of that movie a million times during it’s run (AMC ushers used to walk into theaters when the movies started to make sure everything was OK) but it wasn’t until years after graduation that I saw the movie in full … and first bawled my eyes out. When Mr. Holland sings Beautiful Boy to his deaf son, I lose it every time:

But anyways … tired of crying, I got out of the house and did some putzing around, grabbed some food and then came home to watch another movie … one of my faves, Josie and the Pussycats:

Not only is this one of Parker Posey‘s BEST films ever but the soundtrack kicks all ass cuz Kay Hanley (from Letters to Cleo) provides the singing voice on all the songs. I hadn’t seen the movie in ages … it was a great way to end the day.

Well … then I caught Karate Kid, Part II on cable … but after watching only about a half hour of it, I had to go to bed.

Today I’m really getting out of the house … I have some errands to run and will prolly be meeting up with a friend for dinner … unless I catch some good movies on TV ;)

‘The Early Show’ Books Adam Lambert After ‘GMA’ Cancels Him

People … what did I just get done telling you? Earlier we learned that ABC‘s Good Morning America decided to cancel Adam Lambert‘s scheduled performance on their show tomorrow because they were afraid he would give a too “controversial” performance on their early morning show. I guessed that another early morning show on another network would snap up Lambert … and I was right. CBS‘s The Early Show just send out a press release that they booked Glambert for an interview and performance on their show tomorrow morning:

CBS NEWS’ “THE EARLY SHOW” EXCLUSIVE: ADAM LAMBERT WILL DISCUSS HIS RECENT CONTROVERSIAL “AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS” APPEARANCE AND WILL PERFORM LIVE ON WEDNESDAY, NOV. 25 Adam Lambert will discuss his recent controversial “American Music Awards” appearance and will perform live on THE EARLY SHOW on Wednesday, Nov. 25 (7:00-9:00 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

LOL! I knew it … CBS jumped at the chance to get Adam on their show so that he could bash ABC … brilliant! If Adam Lambert is smart, he will take this opportunity to give an excellent performance based on substance rather than shock value. My guess is that he will hit it out the ballpark … he has to, ‘cuz his attempts to court controversy have been disastrous thus far. Don’t eff it up, Adam.

Milo Ventimiglia, Sophia Bush & Austin Nichols Visit The US Troops Overseas

Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia and One Tree Hill stars Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols (who also hails from Ann Arbor, MI) have made their way to Germany and Turkey to visit the US troops stationed there this Thanksgiving holiday in order to bring some cheer and love from home. Here is a poster advertising their USO Tour appearance and some deets from their visit:

One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols are spending their Thanksgiving holiday this year fulfilling exactly what the holiday is about; giving thanks to others. The young stars, along with Heroes’s Milo Ventimiglia, are currently overseas generously giving their time and talent to the troops and their families stationed in Germany and Turkey. Nichols, Bush, and Ventimiglia held meet&greets the mornings of Nov. 20 and 21st in Ramstein, Germany, where they signed autographs and posed for pictures with the service members and their families. According to the official website for the USO, what the TV trio is doing leaves the troops and their family members with the most lasting emotional impressions. “USO entertainers are essential to fulfilling the USO’s mission of boosting troop morale”. Bush and Nichols are no strangers to donating their time and efforts to help the morale of others in need. This past September they both helped to raise money at the ‘Celebrity Autograph Fund-raiser’ for a memorial wall honoring fallen police officers to be built in Wilmington, NC, where ‘One Tree Hill is filmed. Bush said as a child she was always encouraged by her parents to do charity work. Now the 27-year-old actress says she wants to give that same motivation to others. “I think people have lost sight of how important it is to give back”, Bush told Star News recently. Clearly Bush has not lost sight of giving back; she is a 2009 spokesperson for the Teachers Count campaign, and a long-time advocate for The Art of Elysium, which places emphasis on the importance of the arts in the lives of children battling serious medical conditions. The next stop where Sophia Bush, Austin Nichols, and Milo Ventimiglia will place emphasis on the needs of others will be Turkey, at the Incirlik and Izmir Air Bases, where they will be until the completion of their USO tour on Nov. 25.

These actors are amazing for giving so generously of their time this Thanksgiving season to be with the troops overseas who cannot be home with their families. After the jump, check out a couple photos of Milo, Sophia and Austin at one of their recent USO Tour events …

Miley Cyrus Enjoys A Rockin’ 17th Birthday

Last year Miley Cyrus celebrated her Sweet 16 birthday at Disneyland (which, funny enough, took place on Gay Days weekend), this year she celebrated her 17th birthday at a bar in NYC … what a difference a year makes. Altho Miley turned 17 on Monday, she was surprised with an early birthday party a few days before while she was in NYC on tour. Here is a photo of Miley and her birthday cake along with some deets on her 80′s themed birthday party:

Miley Cyrus turned 17 years old on Monday, November 23, but she had a surprise birthday party last week in New York City. Family and friends joined her for the ’80s themed bash staged at Canal Room on Wednesday, November 18. Her “The Last Song” co-star and rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth was among the guests, People reports. Inside the soiree, the birthday girl was treated to a performance by the cast of Broadway’s “Rock of Ages”. She after that blew out candles on a custom-designed cake created by Buddy Valastro, the star of TLC’s reality show “Cake Boss”. To match the theme of the party, Buddy topped off the vanilla cake with Madonna-inspired lace, a stage and accents in purple, which is Miley’s favorite color. “They didn’t want a girly girl cake,” he revealed, adding that the cake “totally fit the theme. It was really awesome.” Concurring with him, Miley’s mother Leticia “Tish” Cyrus was quoted as stating her famous daughter “loves the ’80s”. “The fashion, the big hair – she thinks it’s so funky,” so claimed Tish who helped planning the surprise birthday party for Miley.

As much as I’m not the biggest Miley fan ever, I do think it’s cute that she wanted an 80′s themed birthday considering she wasn’t even alive in the 80′s. I suppose she deserves props for choosing to wear hoochie cut-off jean shorty shorts for the occasion … let’s just assume she was dressing for the party. Considering she celebrated 16 at Disneyland and 17 at a bar … any guesses where she will be celebrating her 18th? I’m gonna guess Vegas … what do y’all think?

The ABC morning show pulls his scheduled performance
‘Good Morning America’ Cancels Adam Lambert

After ABC reportedly received over 1,500 complaints over Adam Lambert‘s “shocking” performance on the 2009 American Music Awards on Sunday night, Good Morning America has decided to cancel his scheduled appearance and performance on their show tomorrow morning. It looks like Glambert ended up alienating more people than he did entertaining them:

The people who didn’t like Adam Lambert’s “American Music Awards” performance won’t have to worry about a repeat performance on “Good Morning America” — cause that gig is canceled. Leading a guy around on a leash and kissing another was apparently too much for ABC. A rep for the show told TV Newser, “Given his controversial live performance on the AMAs we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.” Ironically enough, Lambert announced he was gay on “20/20″ earlier this year — which airs on ABC.

While this controversy may not be great for his image (or for record sales) it’s not the end of the world for him … yet. My guess is another show on a competing network will snap him up for an appearance just so they can ask him about the controversy (perhaps to cast ABC in a negative light). BUT … if Glambert keeps up this need to create controversy just for the sake of generating buzz, I fear his music career has nowhere to go but down. You don’t really hear anyone talking about his debut album For Your Entertainment which was released for sale yesterday … all people are talking about is his “shocking” AMAs performance. I wasn’t shocked or entertained by his performance … but I am not his target audience. If he wants to have a career he’s gonna hafta play nice with folks eventually … I guess we’ll have to see if he’s up for the task.
