We are now less than one week away from Heather Locklear‘s much-anticipated return to Melrose Place and The CW has blessed us with our first look at Heather‘s first scene back on the show. Here are a few screencaps:

Yesterday we saw photos of the Twilight Trinity — Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart — at a photocall/premiere screening event in Paris, France and earlier today we saw some suspicious hand-holding photos of R. Pattz and K. Stew as they walked an airport tarmac … but now we get to see some photos from the UK premiere screening event which took place there today:

This event looks a bit more fan-friendly than the one held in Paris yesterday … not only did the cast walk down the red carpet amidst rabid fans but they also stopped to sign a few autographs and take a few photos. Last night TV Guide threw a little party at the SLS Hotel here in LA, CA in celebration of their 2009 Hot List … and they managed to get a nice group of hot celebs to party with them … behold:

TV Guide usually does a pretty great job of picking out the hot folks on TV … I’d deffo put V‘s Morena Baccarin at the top of that list. Glee‘s Mark Salling, Dexter‘s Julie Benz and ex-Melrose Place Colin Egglesfield are great selections as well. Courteney Cox-Arquette just rulz the universe. It sounds like last night’s shindig was a fun affair … congrats to all the hotties.

Damn … got some really bad news for fans of Dollhouse. It has just been reported that Fox has decided to cancel the series … which really sucks so damn bad, I can’t even fully express myself:

“Dollhouse” is closing its doors at Fox. The network has canceled Joss Whedon’s cult fave, which in May beat the odds with a second-season pickup despite low ratings. The sci-fi series, which is filming episode 11, is expected to finish its 13-episode order. After some dismal performance this fall, despite the ratings bumps “Dollhouse” got from DVR viewing, Fox benched the show for the November sweep after four episodes. It is not clear if Fox will air the remaining episodes starting Dec. 4 as planned.

This is a bunch of bullshizz! And now Entertainment Weekly is confirming this report — Dollhouse is dunzo for sure :( First Fox decides to put the show on hiatus, pulling all planned eps of Dollhouse from the airwaves for the entire month of November AND THEN they decide to cancel the show before it is even brought back on the air. To be honest … I’m not at all surprised. Exiling the show to Friday night has kept the show down in the ratings since it debuted last year … I don’t know how they ever thought the show would be able to flourish by keeping it on Friday night. The mothereffers at Fox better allow the already filmed eps to air … it may lessen my hatred of them a little bit … just a little. I sincerely hope that Joss Whedon doesn’t waste his time again with the Fox network. What shitty news ;(

Yesterday we learned that Britney Spears‘s young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James make the long trek across the Pacific Ocean to join their mother in Australia where she is currently on tour for her first ever Oz tour. We also got to see a few adorable photos of Britney, her sons and Brit‘s agent/beau Jason Trawick enjoying a day at their hotel pool. Today we get to see pics of Britwick carrying the boys out of their hotel as they made their way to the next concert stop on Britney‘s tour … behold the cuteness:

So cute … so precious. Now that Jason Trawick and her sons have joined our dear Britney down under, her happy family can carry on with her Aussie tour as a complete unit. I kinda like that Jason combed down his usually wild hair for this outing with the family … he really does make a fitting father figure, don’t you think?

Last night David and I met up with our friends Darion and Alex so that we could all see the new movie Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire at the ArcLight together. Having read the book myself, I was in for a huge emotional cry-fest … and that’s exactly what I got. I am happy to say that Precious is nothing short of an absolutely amazing film:

It is very difficult for me to say that I “liked” the film, especially considering the subject matter … but the movie is an amazing representation of the book Push which tells the tale of a young woman who manages to endure tragic abuse (both sexual and physical) at the hands of her parents and finds salvation thru education. I will be SHOCKED if the stars of Precious, Gabourey Gabby Sidibe, Mo’Nique, Paula Patton and or Mariah Carey do not secure Academy Awards nominations for their work in this film. Each woman gives such a stunning performance, I was just riveted to what I saw on that screen. The book describes some very, very heinous acts and the movie alludes to most of those acts but, thankfully, spares the viewer from actually seeing them take place. If I have any complaint about the film, it would have to be about the fantasy scenes that Precious envisions as she is being abused. I understand the attempt to try and pull Precious out of her horrible reality into a world of happy fantasy but the unintended result is an audience laughing thruout some of the most tragic parts of the film. Nonetheless, the entire film is just … so powerful. I am not ashamed to say that I cried quite a bit thruout the film. Precious is such a stunning film … I hope it is rewarded well come awards season.

No big plans for today … I have to get my hair did and then we have some errands around the house to take care of. It’ll be a quiet day around here, something I’m very much looking forward to.

Vanity Fair magazine and photographer Mark Seliger brings us our first look at the assembled cast of the new musical The Addams Family. The Addams Family have existed on TV and then in movies but this is the first time the fam has been presented on the musical theater stage … behold:

It’s welcome news that Charles Ad­dams—“the van Gogh of the ghouls”— and his perfectly defective American family are coming to Broadway later this season. The immortal Addams family has been a macabre musical waiting to happen ever since the classic 1960s TV series. Besides, the show has at least two assets that make it a neat fit for Broadway: it’s about a dysfunctional family and it’s a cartoon. The Addams Family stars the undisputed king of Broadway musicals, Nathan Lane, as the gallant, dapper layabout Gomez. (The irrepressible Lane even looks like a living cartoon.) The smashing Bebe Neuwirth makes for inspired casting as the slinky matriarchal goth, Morticia. The haute creepiness of the fun-house world of the adorable Morticia and Gomez is, as the jingle goes, altogether ooky. Yet it seems that the utterly nonconformist Addamses are, in their blissfully weird way, timely apostles of acceptance.

I’ve been a fan of The Addams Family since I was a kid … something about the macabre feel of the show (which felt more palpable than, say, The Munsters which is another dark TV series that I loved to watch as a kid) really resonated with me. Fun story: My mom put out a vase of thorny roses and I got the scissors and cut off all the rose buds just like Morticia did on the show … needless to say my mom was pissed as hell and I couldn’t understand why. I was even a fan of the movie versions of these characters. I cannot even express how excited I am to learn they are making a musical production out of The Addams Family. Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia and Nathan Lane as Gomez are PERFECTLY cast. I’m also a fan of Jackie Hoffman (who I fell in love with once I saw her in Xanadu: The Musical) and I think she will make an excellent Grandmama. On Tuesday, Tori Amos released her first ever holiday album titled Midwinter Graces (which you can stream online in full HERE) and today we get to check out the new promo photos that are included in the album’s liner notes:

Having listened to the album quite a few times since it became available online and after purchasing it myself, I feel that I need to insist that any and all Tori Amos fans immediately rush out and buy this album if you have not yet done so. Pay no mind to the fact that the album is a “holiday album”, each of the songs has been reworked or is an original composition that is distinctly Tori Amos. In all honesty, this is one of THE best albums Tori has released in many years. The orchestration and performance on the disc hearkens back to Tori‘s early days of music-making while still feeling fresh and new. I’ve been listening to the album almost non-stop since I got my hands on it, and I hate Xmas music. If for nothing else, the album is a must own considering it features Tori‘s dauther Natashya Lórien singing with Tori on the song Holly, Ivy and Rose — the song is just so beautiful! Yesterday we saw photos of a very shy Madonna and Jesus Luz shunning the attention from photogs but today we get to see a few photos of Madonna & Child happily lapping up the spotlight. Maddy and Chuy stepped out for a lovely dinner together yesterday and were more than happy to face the cameras this time around:

This was the scene Rio this afternoon as Madonna and BF Jesus Luz enjoyed a romantic meal at one of the city’s most famous restaurants.Madonna is believed to be in town to meet the parents as the couple appear to be getting more and more serious.And our photographers told us the couple didn’t mind the attention one bit – check out the smile on Jesus’ face in these pictures.

As you may’ve heard, it is rumored that Madge is in Brazil to meet Jesus‘s family, including his mother who is 14 years her junior, which means that things may be getting quite serious for Madonna & Child. Wouldn’t it be fabulous if we got to see a photo of Maddy with the Luz family at some point?
