Madonna‘s newest child, Chifundo Mercy James, was spotted making her way home with nanny in tow in NYC this weekend lookin’ as cute as can be in her little winter coat with matching pink accessories:

The cooler temps of NYC are prolly difficult to get used to, especially when you consider the warmer temps Mercy is used to in Malawi. You may recall that Mercy and her family were just in Malawi for a ground-breaking ceremony there for a new school Madonna is having built. Being in the chilly autumn weather here in the States can be a bit jarring … but at least she’s keepin’ warm in style. Mercy is such a doll … it’s so great seeing her grow up right before our eyes.

Kristen Stewart, who has been bizzy these days doing promo work for the release of her new sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon, was on hand at Dodger Stadium here in Los Angeles, CA this weekend to lend her support for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation‘s Walk to Cure Diabetes event. She was joined by sports star Sugar Ray Leonard … here are a couple of pics:

As you may or may not know, the JDRF‘s mission is to “find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research” and their Walk to Cure Diabetes is an annual event held countrywide that seeks to raise awareness and funds for that research. I applaud and fully commend Kristen for lending her name and growing fame to such a worthy cause … if every Twilight fan were able to donate even a dollar to the cause, they would be able to raise huge amounts of money to help find a cure for diabetes. If you would like to lend your support for this cause, you can make donations HERE at their official website. Kristen Stewart wants you to help the JDRF … will you heed the call?

Last night David, Darion and I were invited over to our friends Tammy and Russ’s place for an impromptu birthday celebration for the beautiful Ms. Tammy. It was a really fun little soiree with lots of amazing food, good drink and even better dessert:

As usual, we had a great time hanging out with Russ, Tammy, Dino, Milo and the rest of the gang. We made some new friends and also made plans for a group sleepover to take place sometime soon! Yeah, do we know how to party or what?

Tonight, The Turtle Party: Book Club meets after postponing last Tuesday’s regularly scheduled meeting … we will be discussing the first half of Charles Bukowski‘s Post Office. On Friday we saw a few photos of Mariah Carey frolicking on the beach in Malibu, CA as she filmed scenes for her new music video for her single H.A.T.E.U. and today we get to see a few more photos from the next day of filming:

As you can see, Mimi continued to make pained faces for the cameras which I’m sure will be edited into a very emotive music video. I know that Mariah took a lot of flak from her detractors about the beach photos but, again, I have to reiterate my contention that she looks absolutely fine no matter what she wears. OK, so mebbe the low-cut dresses are a bit much sometimes but all in all, Mimi knows how to rock an outfit right and seems very proud of her curvy figure. I can wait to see how this video turns out … she looks great, I want to see more.

Actor Cam Gigandet (Twilight, Never Back Down) took his wife Dominique Geisendorff and daughter Everleigh Rae for a nice afternoon brunch at Toast here in LA this weekend and raised the bar a huge notch when it comes to adorable dads and their equally adorable kids. Cam and Everleigh were a sight to behold as he carried around his little doll in a baby pouch carrier … like so:

OMG … couldn’t you just die? This has to be the cutest thing ever. It’s clear that Everleigh is going to grow up to be daddy’s little girl … they make quite a pair, don’t they? It’s photos like these that just make your ovaries moan with ecstasy … so.damn.cute! It goes without saying that daddy Gigandet is a bona fide DILF … but the sweetness in these photos just makes you want to swoooon as well. I mean, honestly … have you ever seen anything as cute as this EVER in your life?

Morrissey is having a devil of a time on tour this month. As you may recall, Moz had to end his concert performance in Swindon, UK last month after he collapsed on stage just two songs into his set. After a brief hospital stay, the Mozzer was back on stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall just a few days later. Last night, Moz ended early his performance in Liverpool after an idiot in the crowd threw a drink at his head! Second song into his set, Morrissey gets hit in the head, he says “Good bye” and the show was over:

A shocked Morrissey brought the UK leg of his current tour to an abrupt halt in Liverpool tonight (November 7) when he walked offstage after a fan threw a drink at his head. The star said simply “good bye” at the Liverpool Echo Arena following the incident, exiting in the middle of his second song. He had started with The Smiths standard ‘This Charming Man’ and was in the middle of ‘Black Cloud’ when the incident happened. There are conflicting eye witness reports over whether it was a plastic cup or a bottle that struck. The show was stopped for around 15 minutes as the crowd chanted his name. A little time later a member of the crew announced that the singer had been hit on the head by a bottle and the concert would not continue. Fans jeered and booed at the news. The audience were told they would receive a full refund. The Manc legend is due to travel to Holland to continue European dates on Monday (November 9) in Nijmegen. There is no indication that the Dutch show will be effected by the Liverpool incident.

Insane! I can’t say that I blame Morrissey at all for walking off the stage. He is used to having flowers thrown at him … hell, on occasion he is used to having fans throw themselves at him … but for some asshole to hurtle an object at his face, that is just unreal to me. Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift played host on Saturday Night Live last night and, in my humble estimation, did a pretty good job bringing the funny and holding her own as SNL host. As usual, some of the SNL skits fell flat but overall there were a few funny bits that actually made me laugh … so Taylor deffo scores points there. I think pretty much everyone was waiting to see how many times Kanye West (who infamously and very rudely interrupted Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards back in September and ignited a firestorm of controversy in the process) would be mentioned or parodied but the Kanye talk was almost nonexistent. SNL referenced the incident in Taylor‘s opening monologue and it got another nod in the Hollywood Dish skit but that was pretty much it. To be honest, I’m glad that last night wasn’t at all about Kanye … the less said about that a-hole, the better.
