Here are a few photos of Kristin Cavallari, the HBIC on The Hills, filming new scenes for the show here in LA yesterday afternoon … as you can clearly see from the numerous and varied expressions on her face, KC was totes tryin’ to show off a range of emotions in this very compelling scene:

You know, I’ve gotta say … as much as I was very much looking forward to this new season of The Hills with Kristin Cav as the main protagonist, the season has been a complete and total snoozefest. Not only are the contrived storylines not compelling but I can’t even talk myself into believing that any of the castmembers give two shits about being on the show. They barely phone in their performances. I can’t even think of one storyline this season that has held my attention for more than a fleeting second. It sucks cuz I really love KC a lot. I’ll keep watching The Hills mainly cuz I’m a creature of habit but … I’m so beyond over the whole show. I will say this for KC, tho, she’s got great hair … at least she’s got that going for her.

OH and a local SoCal TV station (KDOC) here plays old eps of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and I’ve been DVRing and watching them all over again … now that was some good TV. Sigh.

Britney Spears and her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, who earlier this week spent a lovely playday in a park together, boarded a plane leaving Sydney, Australia bound for Brisbane for the final leg of her first ever Aussie tour. Here are a few pics of Brit and the boys on their way out of town:

After her 3 shows in Brisbane, Britney plays one more show in Melbourne and one show in Adelaide and then she is OUTTA there. For the most part, I think Britney’s Aussie tour has been a success but the early controversy (that just won’t end) very likely soured her to Oz. My guess is that Britney prolly won’t be touring there again for a very long time, if ever again … which sucks her for very loyal and steadfast Aussie fans. She’s in the home stretch now … all y’all folks down under who still have the opportunity to see her live should see her live. It may be y’all last chance.

On Thursday we got our first look at Janet Jackson’s Make Me music video, the single off her new greatest hits collection Number Ones, in a behind the scenes video from her video shoot. Today we get to see the final product, the Make Me music video in full:

This video is the PERFECT way to promote a disc of Janet’s biggest hits … it is such a throwback to the classic Janet Jackson that we all know and love. The dance routine is very Janet and does hearken back to her hey day as a superstar … the setting even feels like an anteroom to the setting featured in her Scream music video with her late brother Michael Jackson. It’s a very bizzy weekend for the Johnston family this weekend … first and foremost, at precisely 1AM ET this morning the first 25 photos from Levi Johnston’s Playgirl photoshoot went online at Playgirl.com for viewing by subscribers. Secondly, Levi’s mother Sherry Johnston was sentenced to 3 years in prison yesterday in the wake of her recent drug conviction … tho, the two incidents aren’t really related, each is a significant benchmark in the Johnston family history. Here is a totally sanitized publicity photo from Levi’s Playgirl shoot and some deets about the just released batch of photos in a new press release:

The shoot everyone has been talking about has finally arrived! The first set of Levi Johnston pictures to be released at 1am Saturday, November 21st on Playgirl.com. There will be 25 pictures put up currently, and more to follow weekly from the much talked about shoot.

I’ve been able to see all 25 photos and, to be honest, you’re really not missing much. As was previously reported, Levi shows no p33n and there are only 4 photos that show his bare bum (in classy black and white). There are 5 photos where he is obscuring his p33n with either a towel or his hands and only one of those is in color. This first batch of photos seems to be totally from the “shower” stetting save for the 4 photos of him fully dressed, which are also included. It seems to me that Playgirl is going to stretch out the release of these photos for as long as they can to maximize their effectiveness. In fact, I understand that the printed version of Playgirl magazine that will feature Levi’s “nekkid” pictorial won’t be published until March 2010! I can’t believe they think people will still care by then. Taylor Lautner, star of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, was on hand to make an appearance on The Today Show on NBC earlier today in celebration of New Moon in Theaters day and did his best to bring his charming smile to all his eager fans … he even took the time to blow kisses to the folks in the audience:

And with this smooch to fans, Taylor and the entire Twilight family is hoping that you will rush out and see The Twilight Saga: New Moon in theaters today. Already, the movie set a new box office record for midnight showings last night taking in over $26 million already:

The Twilight Saga: New Moon has set a box-office record for midnight screenings. Summit Entertainment estimated Friday that it earned $26.3 million after opening early in the morning. That would topple the previous midnight record, held by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It earned $22.2 million this year. The Dark Knight from 2008 is third with $18.5 million. New Moon is the second installment of the popular Twilight series. It opened at midnight in 3,514 theaters with a per-theater average of $7,476. Paul Dergarabedian is a box-office analyst for Hollywood.com. He says the midnight start “portends an opening weekend that could be one of the biggest of the year. “

And so … Taylor and his Twilight cohorts have done everything they can to get your butts in theater seats. I know many of you have seen the film already (and are prolly planning to see it again) but are any of y’all planning on seeing New Moon this weekend? Do y’all think it will be the biggest money maker of the year?

Last weekend we learned that Taylor Lautner, as the Jacob Black character in the Twilight series of movies, would be immortalized as a Barbie doll and today we learn that Lautner’s BFF and rumored paramour Taylor Swift is also getting in on the doll action.
