im also from SA… and were not stuck in the 90′s….we just have excellent senses of humour (must be all the sunlight we get…lol)…. Its so cool to an artist come do an ad and make fun of himself… and the ad is awesome… Viva Castle and Vanilla Ice Ice baby! :)

Im from South Africa – we dont take him seriously – he’s a joke like anywhere else in the world..its really so cool of him to come out send himself up like that. He was brought in to rival another beer ad with Louis Gossett Jr selling Windhoek Lager. See if you can find that one where the girl buys a guy a cocktail and he intercepts.

When he was on Surreal Life, I actually felt kind of bad for him. It seemed like his self esteem really suffered following his success, and while he can sometimes be a jerk, it seemed like he was a pretty decent person under it all. I wish him the best of luck, and I hope they paid him well!
