TR Knight & Mark Cornelson Are Dunzo!
Sad news to pass along today … In Touch Weekly magazine is reporting that the once-happy, always adorable couple made up of actor T.R. Knight and his very cute (much younger) boyfriend Mark Cornelson has come to an end. Apparently, due to T.R.’s work commitments, the relationship suffered … and sadly had to end. The Mark-Knight is dunzo, y’all!

T.R. Knight is blaming his hectic schedule as the reason for his split with his boyfriend of almost two years, Mark Cornelsen. “It just came to a natural end, no hard feelings,” explains a close friend of the former Grey’s Anatomy star, whose focus has been on his role in the musical Parade at the Mark Taper Forum in LA. “They still care about each other very much.” And though T.R., 36, asked his ex, who is 16 years younger, to move out of the apartment they shared, he said it doesn’t mean he has given up hope for a family someday. “I want a baby,” he told Ellen DeGeneres around the time of his breakup. His wish to adopt a child is genuine. “When the time is right, it will happen,” says the pal, adding that for right now, “his focus is on the show.”
Awww … this is SUCH sad news. I loved T.R. and Mark together … they made a really cute couple. I suppose we should’ve realized something was up … we haven’t seen them together here on the blog since last May. They were deffo one of my fave Hollywood couples and I’m really bummed that they couldn’t figure out a way to make it work. Hopefully the guys will see the err of their ways and will be able to get back together somewhere down the line … but as for now … they are dunzo. Sad.

“adorable couple” ew. anyone who is in a relationship with T.R Knight will not be considered adorable. He’s…well….he’s not attractive. Fine. I said it and it was mean, but true.

@Drew he might not be attractive to you but some of us think he’s cute.
And yes, you are mean.

Sad? No. Reality. He’s 36 and his BF is 20? Yeah, that’s a fun roll in the hay, but a relationship? Um, no.

@Meredith 2 years is a relationship regardless of what you think.
October 21st, 2009 at 10:25 am
@lyndyloo — Agreed, they were together for 2 years … people break up for all sorts of reasons, to assume that it was an age thing after 2 years of a committed relationship is extremely short-sighted.

Way too big age difference, maximum should be 5 -7 years, otherwise = ticking time bomb and someone ends up unhappy

Oh now I know why Finn of Glee looks familiar! He looks like TR’s boyfriend. Well, ex now.

I’m just saying that it’s hard for most 20 year olds to be in long term committed relationships–even with OTHER 20 years olds. But to have a mix of 20 and 36 only doubles (or more) the odds of failure. These two guy are in very different places in the lives (as are any 20 and 36 year old).
Trent–Look at your relationship. I’m guessing one of the components of it’s success is that fact that you two are not 16 years apart in age.
October 21st, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Isn’t Trent like 40 or something? :) kidding
October 21st, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Right… he is really young and its always bad idea to date someone that is just starting ‘the scene’.
LOL, you have to wait until ‘the scene’ becomes sickening. ;-)

@lorettalynn, no Trent is actually 35, and David is 25 (correct me if I’m wrong on David’s age)
@Meridith, your argument is therefore flawed.

so pretty sure. i LOVE T.R. Knight. this is just a sign than he & i should date. haha plus he wants a baby. we’re a match made in heaven. :)
i dont think anything is wrong with the age though. it’s nothing but a number. plus, they’ve been together for 2 years so they proved themselves a legit couple.
im 19..maybe T.R will be interested. haha :)

@Drew he is so hot to me! haha he may be unattractive to you but i think he’s super hot! haha we all have our own taste, & T.R. is def. my taste. :)
October 21st, 2009 at 1:27 pm
@matt you bet he would be! lol
October 21st, 2009 at 1:31 pm
@lyndyloo i love you for saying that! haha lets take a trip to L.A so we can see him perform in “Parade” & then afterwards we can sneak backstage & set this whole thing up! :)
October 21st, 2009 at 1:32 pm
@Its Trent, Bitch! Do you think you can hook me up with T.R? haha you’d be putting together one of the worlds best couples if so. come on, be a pal. haha :)
October 21st, 2009 at 1:33 pm
@HAHA ok let’s!

They were together for two years. I don’t think the age difference between them would be a problem now. Maybe it was just the case where one falls out of love with their partner(you still love them, you just aren’t in love with them) It happens.
Also five to seven years is the correct area for an age difference between a couple? Wow, I didn’t know that. In the past I dated a guy that was ten to twelve years older then I was and we didn’t have any problem communicating with one another or getting along. You can’t help who you fall in love with.
The only thing I would see a problem for dating is if a twenty year old was dating someone fifty years or older. But that is only because of the huge age cap between them that they may see things differently. But hey, if they can work things out, that’s awesome :)
October 21st, 2009 at 1:51 pm
@ama i couldnt agree more. you practically took the words out of my mouth. except, i have to disagree on one thing. if they work things out, it wont be awesome. haha it will be terrible! how will i be able make my move then?! haha :)
October 21st, 2009 at 2:44 pm
@lyndyloo–No, that’s a 10 year age difference, not 16. Basic math skills.
October 21st, 2009 at 2:46 pm
@Meridith even you must know that you are being very petty now.
Give it up!
October 21st, 2009 at 2:58 pm
@lyndyloo–Your response to me was that my argument was flawed based on the ages of Trent and David. 10 years and 16 years are two very different numbers, you know that.
Think about what a different person you were 16 years ago……
October 21st, 2009 at 3:12 pm
16 years ago I was pretty much the same person I am now.
October 21st, 2009 at 4:00 pm
16 years ago i was 3.
October 21st, 2009 at 5:59 pm
I’m sure what they had together was fun and maybe even great, but a man approaching 40 should not be making life plans with a boy who’s barely out of high school. I know this from personal experience. “Natural course” is that a couple with this kind of age difference are fighting an uphill battle. They’d have more of a chance if they revisit the relationship after the 20 year old has a chance to live life a bit and grow up. For example: Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas.

I think T.R. is cute. And I think he and Luke MacFarlane (the guy who plays Scotty on Brothers & Sisters – I may have misspelled his last name) would make a really cute couple. That guy is super-cute.

I Love TR Knight!!! I’m glad his relationship is over, as long as he’s happy with it!!! As far as the age difference, why not?, because Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are fifteen years apart!!!
