Tina Fey Does ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine
TV’s favorite ultra-chic bespeckled “geek” Tina Fey is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine … lookin’ very ultra-chic and far from geeky. In her coverstory interview, Fey talks about things as varied as botox, motherhood and Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw. Here is Tina’s fabulous coverphoto and some quotes from her coverstory interview:

On Botox: “You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don’t think Botox is for me. I think it is bad,” she says. People with Botox “look like their faces are full of candles — a shiny, shiny face. Festive. A holiday candle.”
On her trademark specs: “I don’t wear them very much in real life because I need them to see only far away,” she says. “And I don’t wear them when I am dressed up, because then I would look like Tootsie.”
On why her 30 Rock alter-ego Liz Lemon would be BFF with Sex & the City’s Carrie Bradshaw: “Liz has little to no style and little to no sex drive,” she says. “Carrie would be very encouraging of Lemon and help her have more confidence.”
On her day-to-day schedule: “Work, come home, play, kid bounce, work again, go to bed.” Fey goes on to say she often writes 30 Rock on the way to the studio and is so overwhelmed that “sometimes I’ll be telling my husband [composer Jeff Richmond], ‘I think I’m cracking up.’”
On her vanities: “I have the camera frame me from the waist up,” she jokes. Really? “Sometimes. If there is a shot that is bad, I can take it out. That is why L.A. is so bad, because they can take your picture from any side. That is why people in L.A. maintain 360 degree fitness. I don’t have that kind of time.”
On her hair: “When I am not shooting, my hair looks like a Halloween wig.” She lapses into an impersonation of a hair stylist: “‘I hate to tell you this, but it’s because you are shooting all the time. You know those old actresses that are bald?’ And I shoot 200 days a year.”
Dude, Tina Fey is the coolest woman EVER!! I’m so happy that her show 30 Rock is doing so well critically because it deffo doesn’t have the ratings to ensure its survival. I’ve always been an Tina Fey fan but I think the whole world fell in love with her when she stepped into the persona of Sarah Palin during the ‘08 presidential campaign. She really strikes me as such a down-to-Earth person … I bet she’s very easy to like in real life, too. And hello … she is a beautiful woman! After the jump, see just how beautiful she is in the other photos from her Harper’s Bazaar photospread …

I just LOOOOOOVE her. She looks fab … utterly fab. You can click HERE to read the full text of her HB interview … it’s a fun read. The coverstory article is titled Tina Fey Rocks! and I have to absolutely concur.

I think she is trying so hard to move away from the Sarah Palin stuff, but she knows and everyone else knows it is what made her and its gonna stay with her for life or until everyone gets sick of her and she isn’t around anymore.

She and Michelle Obama are my 2 girl crushes. Both are strong, independent women who are known first for their intelligence and capabilities and then for their beauty. :) YEAH, TINA FEY!!!

The ratings aren’t huge, but they’re definitely strong enough to ensure the show’s survival, especially given how it performs in the 18-49 year old demographic, which is all advertisers care about. And the good news is, the ratings have increased each season the show has been on the air, so that bodes well for this season.
