Thomas Dekker Busted!

Sadly, another DUI arrest
October 15th, 2009

Thomas Dekker, the former star of the Fox series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, was arrested in the San Fernando Valley here in SoCal last night on suspicion of driving while under the influence after he allegedly hit a bicyclist with his car. Do you suppose that young Mr. Dekker has been hittin’ the sauce a bit too much since his Fox series got canceled earlier this year?

Thomas Dekker — the guy who played “John Connor” on the Terminator TV show — was arrested last night on suspicion of DUI after allegedly hitting a bicyclist. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the 21-year-old “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” actor was busted around 9pm Wednesday in the San Fernando Valley. On his booking sheet, Dekker is listed as being 5′11″, 155lbs. He’s currently being held on suspicion of felony DUI and causing bodily harm. His bail is set at $100,000.

Sucks!! It is completely outrageous that so many idiots still have no problem gettin’ drunk and then gettin’ behind the wheel of motor vehicles. I get that Dekker is a relative kid but, c’mon, at 21 you should deffo know better. Because of one bad decision he almost killed someone on their bike AND has ruined his record by getting a DUI. Just … stupid. Hopefully this arrest will be a wake-up call for Dekker … he is very lucky that no one was seriously injured.

Someone from So. Cal told me that they feel like this drinking & driving problem in LA is related to the fact that EVERYONE drives and no one takes public transportations. Us Chicagoans, and New Yorkers too have no problem catching the train or calling a cab, and in fact prefer it! I don’t understand why these So. Californians are so attached to their cars!

@Saddlebred- you know the old saying,” California is not a State…it is a state of mind…”.

I do find it interesting that it costs less to have a car service on call than it is to buy your own car and pay for insurance but the agents and accountants for these drunken actors/musicians don’t seem to feel the need to point that out to them!

I live in AZ and I take cabs all the time and we have shit for public transportation; that has nothing to do with it! You are either an idiot or you aren’t! Shit head could have killed someone.

  5. Paul From Toronto Says:

Have no respect for this dude at all.. The Respect was lost way before this when he quit Heroes because he didn’t want to play a gay character. He said it could possibly hurt his image or something down those lines. Poo on him!

  6. Sweet_Lady Says:

if i had money, i would have someone drive my drunk ass everywhere – this behavior is just unacceptable. He is god damned lucky he didn’t kill the person he hit.

Yet even this blog continually discusses going out with friends and drink and drinking at bars and house parties but, doesn’t ever discuss a designated driver.

  8. It's Trent, Bitch! Says:

@mike — I can assure you that there are always designated drivers where I am concerned, thanks for asking.

  9. Christine Says:

Don’t these people have the money to pay for a cab? Or a DRIVER? or how about good old fashioned designated drivers like the rest of us!
Damn, stupid how celebs are constantly getting in trouble for this.
