Rihanna Films Her New Music Video
Ahoy there, mateys!

On Thursday we learned that Rihanna had announced the release date for her new album (which may or may not be titled The Wait Is Ova) as November 23 and today we get to see photos of Ri Ri on the NYC set of her new music video. Rihanna donned an eye patch and a slicked back hair’do for the shoot … behold:

Thus far there is NO information on the single or the album itself. It’s highly likely that the album will not be titled The Wait Is Ova but until we hear any concrete info, this is all we have to go on. I know a lot of people don’t like Rihanna‘s sense of style but I kinda love it. It’s different without being too showy and while it’s a bit avant garde, it’s not really over-the-top-desperate-for-attention … at least, IMHO. I think she looks cute … I am dying to hear the single. What do y’all think … excited or notsomuch?

Totally agreed! Lady Gaga on the other hand just reeks of desperation. I actually find her constant need to dress up in wacky avant garde attire to be ‘in character’ very odd. She’s trying too hard to be Madonna!

WHY are ppl so quick to compare this chick to Beyonce
either way, eye patch is a little much. Rihanna got annoying since GGGB but at least SOME of the tracks are still danceable…lets hope she doesn`t try to be `deep` post Chris Brown

The comparison to Beyonce is because of all Beyonce fans started to say crap about Rihanna (and Jay-Z) and then they kept claiming no one will dethrone Beyonce from this imaginary throne. They kept saying Rihanna is copying B & all that nonsense.

Ri and B can’t be completely opposite artists. In there genres, there shows, there fashion. Everything really. So as much as the comparison is annoying – its just like Brit and Xtina, its here to stay so it may aswel be used.

Any i’m sure plenty of Beyonce bi****s will come along and say negative things anyway. And also…CHASE…clearly you have never been abused in that way and therefore don’t know what its like.
If you have, well thats bad luck – bit if its one thing people should know, not everyone is the same.
Rihanna is obviously WORLD CLASS FAMOUS and followed everywhere she goes. Yes she is a role model to some and some may look down on how she handled the situation. But she obviously handled it in such a private and personal matter rather than publicly. Either way i salute her for moving on with her life and career so stop being so negative.

I understand a lot of woman, A LOT of woman suffer like Rihanna has and they try to promote the issue and inform younger woman and all woman really. But it would have been an even larger media scale had Rihanna gone on Oprah or something and cried her eyes out on television. Time will tell if Rihanna is willing to open up about it and help out others – but if not, don’t criticize cause each to their own.
