Peace The Spork Out, Daisy Simpson
At last, Jessica Simpson realizes the obvious

Last month we learned the sad news that Jessica Simpson‘s beloved pet, a malti-poo named Daisy, was snatched away right before her eyes by ravenous coyotes. As you may recall, Jessica put up posters asking for the safe return of her pooch … just in case the little thing managed to escape the deadly jaws of the coyotes who took her. It turns out that Jessica continues to get messages from people who claim to have found Daisy alive and Jess has had enough. She posted a tweet on her official Twitter profile Sunday night demanding that people stop telling her that Daisy is alive. It seems she has finally come to grips that her little pooch is gone forever:

Jessica Simpson’s mad, and she’s not going to take it anymore. After dealing with the especially painful loss of maltipoo Daisy, who was taken from her back yard by a coyote on Sept. 14, the singer has apparently been inundated with false sightings of her beloved pup. She took to Twitter late Sunday night to say,

“People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found. Untrue. People are so cruel. Please respect her memory.”

While I agree that it is cruel to lie to Jess in this way, she kinda did open herself up to this sort of treatment by appealing to the public for their help. In any event, it’s clear that she has finally realized that there is no way Daisy could’ve survived her abduction. I hope the sweet little dear is resting peacefully in doggie heaven. Peace out, Daisy :(

It just shows how insensitive people are(to do such a thing, but since I’m sure there was a money award. People will do anything for money, no matter how much it may be hurting someone else). But then that was a given with the comments some made about this news(When she was posting flyers and such)

Hopefully now that she has realized Daisy won’t be coming back, she can stop holding onto that ‘hope’ that she will be returning and start mourning for her lost companion. It will be hard for her, but she seems like a strong person so hopefully this doesn’t break her.

As an owner of two mini schnauzers who are my baby boys, I feel Jessica’s pain. I would like to believe that Daisy is happily playing at Rainbow Bridge, and will stay there until they meet again, years and years from now. Okay, I guess that makes me as naive as Jessica, except she has an excuse – she’s a young twenty-something, and I’m old!

That poor dog. And poor Jessica. It would kill me if that happened to one of my animals.

    Poor little puppy-poo.

There have been so many pet snatchings by coyotes where I live that new ordinances are being pushed forward to allow you to shoot them…even inside the city limits!
The Mountian Lions & Bears are another story!

I can make fun of Jess for loads of things.
    But this is too sad…

One night my Dad let our precious Yorkie, Sammi out for a pee on the back deck. Within moments, he heard Sammi screaming. He went outside to find Sammi, he picked him up and took him inside. Then my Dad noticed blood all over his shirt and could see that Sammi had been bitten by something with a very large jaw. He took him to the vet immediately, where it was determined he was bitten by a coyote. Poor Sammi had a bandage on his torso for a couple of weeks due to three puncture wounds from the teeth. Thankfully my Dad went out in time to scare off the coyote, but it is very dangerous to let your doggies out unsupervised.

    R.I.P. Daisy and Sammi

I, too, can make fun of her for many things, but if this happened to one of my pets, I would be crushed. Especially since she was an eye witness, and especially since she doesn’t seem to be in a great place in her life right now, I imagine this is really hard for her. Very sad, indeed.

Trent I can’t agree with you. If something you loved went missing and you thought that the public could help, I bet you’d reach out. As I recall she put of signs in the area asking for help, she didn’t go on CNN and make a plea.

But all that doesn’t matter, celebrities are still people and should be treated as such. What those people are doing is cruel and unneccessary. There is no excuse for their lack of compassion.

I can’t even imagine what she feels like….

I hope people are not being purposefully cruel. Maybe people are seeing a little white dog and thinking it is Daisy? When my sister’s puppy was lost (in Colorado where there are lots of coyotes), people kept calling thinking they saw her. Turns out she did somehow survive in the wilderness and she was found by some people after several days – long after we had given up all hope. (Of course, she was scared off by some horses not actually snatched in front of our eyes by a coyote.)

for some reason, i find this to be hilarious.
i guess that makes me a bad person.

  13. Josh C. says:

    Totally agree with Jane.

    <3 Jess and miss Daisy!

i usually have no opinion of jessica simpson, but my heart breaks for her everytime i hear about this. if this was my dog, i couldnt even imagine how id feel.. very very sad.

@alexa – im sure you’ll get a kick out of people chastising you, but yes you clearly lack basic compassion. horrible.
