Miley Cyrus Films Scenes For ‘Sex And The City 2’
A few weeks ago we started hearing the rumors that Miley Cyrus would be appearing in the new sequel film Sex and the City 2, which is currently filming in NYC, NY and then we began hearing reports of what her appearance in the film would be like. Instead of a featured role, Miley would appear in a cameo appearance only (thank Gods). It turns out that those reports are true, here are the first photos of Miley on the set of SaTC2 filming her cameo appearance yesterday in NYC and the deets as reported of her cameo:
Although Miley Cyrus was only, um, 5 when Sex and the City debuted on HBO back in 1998, the teen is apparently a big fan and has landed herself a guest-starring role in the upcoming movie sequel. The 16-year-old Disney darling, who recently wrapped on the film The Last Song, is now confirmed to appear in the sure-to-be-a-hit flick. Don’t look for Miley to take on a big role a la Jennifer Hudson’s personal assistant character in the first movie. She’ll instead be making a cameo as herself and will have a big showdown with Kim Cattrall’s Samantha when they show up wearing the same dress to an event (horror!), says a report. In the script, Mario Cantone’s character, Anthony, reportedly says: “Mother of God. She is wearing the same dress as Hannah Montana.” Miley — who’s not expected to utter any lines in the film — is expected to shoot her scene on Oct. 16.
Blech. I, personally, think this is horrid idea but at least it’s only a cameo appearance … it could’ve been MUCH worse. As I recall, Miley famously started blabbing to media outlets that she was a big fan of Sex and the City when it aired on TV … which would mean she was a pre-pubescent girl who’s parents let her watch an adult television series that talked in a very frank manner about all manners of sexual escapades … none of which should be at all surprising considering the way the Cyrus family have raised their little meal ticket. But I digress … it would appear that Miley’s blabbing inspired the filmmakers to put her in the film … the little minx is pretty smart, don’t you think? It’s unclear if Kristin Davis and/or Cynthia Nixon’s characters will appear at this fictional movie premiere event or not but I think you get the gag. Oh no! Samantha is wearing the same dress as Hannah Montana!! So funny … right? Meh. Let’s just hope the rest of the film is light years better ;)

WHY does MILEY CYRUS have to be in SATC?!? She’s not even legal! If the movie were to be released right now, she wouldn’t even be able to go see this movie by herself in the theater yet. Don’t you have to be 17 to see a rated R movie? GOD. MILEY – GO. AWAY.

Yeah, I think she’s just getting hate because its the “cool” thing to do nowadays. She’s not going to ruin the movie because of a cameo. Plenty of kids watched shows/movies before they should of and many of those times we did it behind our parents back.
And Mariah….there are always kids in R rated movies…plenty of times kids star in R rated movies this is nothing new and nothing that Miley should get crap over.

Ah I watched Sex and the City when I was 16. Trust me there’s nothing in that show that I hadn’t basically already heard in high school.
And I think she’s turning 17 in a few weeks (dear god why do I know that…)

Granted, my parents are pretty conservative but I’m pretty sure there is no way in hell they would have let me watch Sex in the City when I was her age! I actually think having Samantha show up wearing the same dress as Hannah Montana could be sort of funny but I agree, I could have skipped on seeing Miley Cyrus in SaTC2.

16 is definitely too young for that show. And since she apparently started watching it WAY before 16… gross. What in the heck is wrong with her parents? It’s so inappropriate. That is a show for adults, not kids – I don’t care what they’re hearing in high school. Next thing you know she’ll be throwing on some booty-shorts and pole dancing on top of an ice cream cart on national TV or having her 20-something year old boyfriend move in with her family. Oh, wait…
Kids are only kids once; parents should fight a lot harder to let them be kids instead of this mini adult crap.

And though I am not the biggest fan of Miley Cyrus and think her behavior is questionable a lot of the time especially for someone in her position, I believe I started watching SATC casually somewhere around 16 (not on TV, mind you, but online). I have all the seasons now at age 19. I don’t think it’s terrible that she is watching SATC at her age (I hope it’s the censored version), but if she is the die-hard fan she says she is, especially with her busy schedule, she would have had to started watching a long time ago.. and like @erin said, that’s pretty different.

at any rate, i started watching SATC when i was 17 (first year of college), but to start watching it when it was airing…? she would have been like, 8 years old?? what’s a good little christian child little miss purity ring cyrus watching sex and the city for?

But Miley even in a cameo is too much Miley for me, and with Sam who is basically the Sex in Sex in the City, uh NO, maybe Char w/ Lily and the new baby at some kiddie function but Sam.
I’ll probably skip the theater who wants to sit next to a much of Tweenagers screaming when Miley hits the screen.
I think Ma and Pop Cyrus apparently lost control of her at what 5-6 years old (she was born in 92) it explains a lot.

I gotta say, in that first pic Kim Cattrall looks FAB!!! Almost as young as Miley! Putting Miley in the movie is meh… spoiled brats do not a good SATC movie make.
