La Toya Jackson Hits The Town
Look out, y’all … there is a new diva on the scene 53 years in the making … La Toya Jackson has been making the rounds in the weeks since her younger brother Michael Jackson passed away in June ensuring that the Jackson name (nose and chin) is still fresh in people’s minds. While the Jackson brothers are hard at work behind the scenes (for now) putting together a reality TV series that will, in all likelihood, exploit the death of MJ to the fullest extent, La Toya is just basking in the glow of all of the attention. We saw Toy all dolled up for dinner with her mother Katherine Jackson earlier this week but last night she hit the town all by herself … sharing the spotlight with no one:
While this all may sound like I’m not a La Toya fan, I can assure you that I am. The Jackson men generally gross me out to the max and some of that disdain does seep over onto the other Jacksons but I generally do like La Toya. It’s just a shame that she’s enjoying all of this new found attention because of the sad and untimely death of her brother. But now that the genie is out of the bottle, there’s no putting it back in … I expect La Toya and the rest of the Jacksons will enjoy the attention for as long as it keeps getting heaped on them. I suppose they gotta make a living somehow.

If you don’t like the attention being “heaped” on the Jacksons, then maybe you shouldn’t post pictures of them on your blog? If you don’t think they should be gettting attention, then don’t give them any. Just a thought….

Her and Mike were really close before he passed. So if she wants to go out and about; I say go for it. She proved that she was sorry for what she did a long time ago; and he forgave her. I don’t think that since she is out and about that she is taking advantage of his death. More attention has been brought on them, but I don’t think LaToya is taking advantage of it, like Jermaine. I like her, and I think she is actually very beautiful.

what did LaToya do to Michael?? Sorry I don’t ever follow them but I am curious as to what she did??/ they all have the same plastic surgeon though, don’t they?

Enjoy the attention? Noboby said they enjoyed it. The media doesn’t have mj to follow around anymore.. The media is hoping the rest of the j’s falter so they have some news.

I don’t see what the big deal is, she’s just going about her life, its the media and bloggers like you that is now giving her all this attention. What is she suppose to do, sit inside forever and never go out in public? Whatever, any exposure to a celebrity is part of the job so I’m sure she is used to it and she should enjoy that she is getting it. She has to put on a brave face or the media will feed on that like vultures!

Mikie, in a press conference in ‘93 LaToya read a statement claiming to believe the sensational sex abuse allegation against MJ might be true which was a complete reversal of her previous public statements. Depending on what you read, her ex- made her do it. Very possible, he was a piece of work.

Heyyyy now… It’s not like Trent is really helping LaToya or the rest of them to get any major attention… He’s not out, taking the photos or anything.
He’s simply posting what’s already circulating. It would be out there whether Trent was talking about it or not.
It’s really weird to me that the Jacksons seem to be taking total advantage of this opportunity to be in the spotlight…
I wouldn’t want to seem like I was exploiting my brother’s death. I think I’d hide out for a while, to make the public even more curious.. and then come out after like a year… Maybe they’re scared they’ll be forgotten by then.
