Kristen Stewart Does ‘Interview’ Magazine
Kristen Stewart is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Interview magazine … K. Stew’s photospread and coverstory interview was just posted online today so it can be read by all who are interested. Here is Kristen’s coverphoto and some excerpts from her interview with Interview:
On everyone talking about her personal life:
“There’s nothing you can do about it, I don’t talk to anybody about my personal life and maybe that perpetuates it too. But it’s really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself.”
On feeling dull due to Twilight:
“The sad thing is that I feel so boring, because Twilight is literally how every conversation I have these days begins.”
On just getting her high school degree:
“I went to public school up until junior high. I know it’s a little late and I’m a little old, but I just finished high school—with honors. The other day I was doing a graduation scene on Eclipse, and I had just finished high school myself the week before, so I told the crew, “Hey, just so you know, I’m actually graduating right now, and I’m not going to have another ceremony.” So I took a mock picture with an extra. I literally asked the actor to come back and shake my hand and hand me the diploma while I was dressed in a cap and gown.”
On getting lots of attention:
“Yeah, it’s weird. There’s an idea about who I am that’s eternally projected onto me, and then I almost feel like I have to fulfill that role. Even when things come out of my mouth, I want to be sure I’m saying exactly what I mean. All I’m thinking of is the fact that everything that I say is going to be criticized — not criticized, just evaluated and analyzed. And it’s always something that matters so much to me that doesn’t come out right. But in terms of how my life has changed, I never really went out a whole lot before. I’m sort of an in-my-head kind of person. I wish I could take more walks . .”
On spending lots of time in her hotel:
“That said, the only way for me not to have somebody know where I went the night before is if I didn’t go out at all. So that’s what I’m trading. It depends what mood I’m in. Some nights, I think, “You know what? I don’t care. I’m just going to do what I want to do.” Then the next day I think, “Ugh. Now everyone thinks I’m going out to get the attention.” But it’s like, no, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person.”
No lie, she looks fantastic. I like the mixture of high glam and her personal style … she’s still a bit tomboyish but in a really dressy way. After the jump, check out a few of the photos from her Interview photospread …

I really like this photo shoot, along with the interview. She is beginning to become more like able for me, the more I read her interviews. I can imagine that talking about the same thing over and over and getting asked the same questions will become annoying and tiring after awhile.
I actually think the short hair works for her :)

I think she is so beautiful and talented. Her interviews make it sound like she is a pretty low key girl who really enjoys her craft and works hard on it. I don’t get the hate that she gets.

I completely disliked her when Twilight first came out (and I’m still not sure I agree with her as Bella); but the more I see, the more I like. And this new spread takes the cake, my favorite by far. She’s beautiful, smart and has her own voice. Way to go Kristen!

I would totally like her more if she had the acting skills the back up her attitude. She’s still a little sketchy to me but, for the most part, I like her. I agree, her best photoshoot to date.

is it just me, or has her confidence taken a dive ever since she had to cut her hair…. i see her in pics and she doesn’t seem to ooooooze her sexy nymph thing as well…although these pics look like maybe she’s getting it back!! She’s meow!!

haha i like the leopard glasses…cuz those make sense and all. she looks so different…not too fond of the middle finger photo..i think that’s so ‘middle school’ looking. oh well..she looks great in the rest. its so different to see her with so much makeup!

Chase, her acting skills in Adventureland blew me away. She can convey a lot with saying very little. I haven’t seen the Twilight movies, though.

I have to say I think she can act pretty well. I remember seeing her in a lifetime movie I think it was called Speak? Anyways, she was so awesome. I love her, She isn’t the regular bubblegum garbage most of Hollywood is.

Not a good interviewer…not a good actress. This girl has delusions of grander. She wants people to think she is soooo popular and everyone is taking her picture. Well no more then the other cast members. Rob is the one I feel bad for….the paz and young female fans are out of hand when it comes to Rob. Anyone with Rob they are going to get their picture taken. I think Kristen hangs out with Rob just to get her picture taken then complains she is being stalked. PLZ!!!

Definately my favorite spread and interview of hers so far. This is the first time I have felt like I know what she’s about. I wasn’t a big fan of hers but I could grow to like her. I think as she gets older she will mature and better be able to express herself.

I’ve contended from the beginning that I really did like her and this interview only adds to that. I think she was just very normal and down-to-earth and going through one of those akward moments in her life and no one seemed to get that. Because in Hollywood everyone is too concerned with their image to let that show. But I agree Trent, that she is one of those “real” people. She looks fantastic in those photos. I’m not a big fan of the jet black hair, even though I know why she has it, but they totally made it work for her in this shoot. I would love to meet her just to hear her talk. I love that she doesn’t give those fake basic answers you always get from the young Hollywood set. Rock on girlfriend!

@Chloe – I think you couldn’t be further from the truth. She never ever looks like she is hunting for attention when you see her in public. And I agree with Sean that maybe you should use spell check before you try to insult someone in your comments.

i hate her hair. although i know it’s for another movie, the joan jett one? and why is she trying to be “badass”?? that scowl really doesn’t look good on her. i wish she’d smile in a photoshoot! she only has one facial expression in every photoshoot, it’s getting boring. although i must say her clothes look nice here

I don’t really see her as pretty, but she’s definitely different looking from the rest of Hollywood and I totally dig it..She does seem like a normal girl, which is saying a lot when faced with the immense popularity of Twilight..I’m glad she hasn’t gotten a big head over it..

Why do people care about her? She ruined what was actually good about Bella. Twilight doesn’t even compare to the good vampire stories anyway…so I guess whatever. Elena Gilbert FTW!! (The Book Elena Gilbert) I’m still weirded out that Mia from Degrassi is playing her haha.

She does look amazing in these pictures, but if she obsesses too much about whether she should or shouldn’t do something because of the media and what people think about her, then love; you are in the wrong business. hollywood isn’t just about how good or bad of an actor/actress you are, not a lot of people give a shit whether you are doing it solely for the job, just don’t flash your britney or go to rehab.
