HORROR-bly Fun

The TV Guide

Last night David and I were invited to join a group of friends at Universal Studios to enjoy a night of fun at Halloween Horror Nights (the same thing that MJ’s kids and Elizabeth Taylor enjoyed a couple of weeks ago). To be honest, when I agreed to attend I wasn’t really anticipating that it would be an actual night of horror … I guess I thought it was gonna be more like Halloween Time at Disneyland … yeah, I was wrong about that. There are few things in life that I hate more than haunted houses so when I learned that we’d be visiting mazes based on some Universal horror films … I damn near bolted for the door. But, because I was with a group of good friends (and I knew I could rely on Tamar to be just as scared as I was … she is THE BEST friend to have around when you’re scared) I bit the bullet and just enjoyed … and had the time of my life! I was SO impressed with the horror attractions at Universal … the haunted houses looked exactly like the movie sets used in Halloween, SAW, My Bloody Valentine, etc. Yes, there were a lot of things jumping out at you but … with a group of friends (and David’s jacket to hide under) it was really fun. Here are some pics that I snapped with my phone at Universal Studios last night:

In addition to the horror stuff, we got to visit sound stages, back lot sets and got to ride some fun rides. After the jump, check out some Polaroid pics that we snapped last night and see some of our superfun photos from a couple of the rides we rode last night …

Much, much love goes out to our newlywedded friends for organizing last night’s Halloween Horror Nights R.I.P experience … we all had a great time and I can honestly say that my fear of haunted houses has been lessened … a bit.

Tonight, David and I are having our next Date Night … I’m in charge of this one so it’s a surprise for right now … I’ll try to tweet later on to share the fun. Woot!!
