Out November 3, Pre-order NOW!

Fox has announced the release of the season one soundtrack for their hit series Glee. Glee: The Music, Volume 1 will hit stores on November 3 … here is our first look at the album’s cover artwork and tracklist:

01. Don’t Stop Believin’
02. Can’t Fight This Feeling
03. Gold Digger
04. Take a Bow
05. Bust Your Windows
06. Taking Chances
07. Alone
08. Maybe This Time
09. Somebody to Love
10. Hate On Me
11. No Air
12. You Keep Me Hangin’ On
13. Keep Holding On
14. Bust a Move
15. Sweet Caroline
16. Dancing with Myself
17. Defying Gravity

Wee … this is great news!! I kinda love that Fox releases the songs on iTunes the week that they are featured on the show but I would much rather own the full set on CD this way. It’s a much cheaper way to have all the songs. I’ve already placed my pre-order HERE. I am DYING to hear the Glee version of Defying Gravity.

I like the songs on Glee but sometimes I think the storyline can be a bit weak. I mean I understand they want to tease us and not get the teachers together yet or the jock and the jewish girl (I forgot their names sorry!) But the logic behind the storylines is really lame sometimes like HELLO! he didn’t even have sex with Quinn and he thinks he got her pregnant. STUPID! I really doubt anyone in the history of the world has gotten pregnant that way. Then she really cheated on him with that other guy, does he love her? does he want to keep the baby? Then she’s going to give it away to Will’s wife?? Then his wife and her sister blackmail the doctor to give a fake sonogram…it’s just really a stretch! I mean I was really hoping the show would evoke the kind of feelings it did in the pilot, I actually cried at the end of the pilot because of when Will comes in and sees them singing the Journey song. It was such a cool moment. There hasn’t been any real heart breaking moments like that since then.

    @Danny – this series is a satire.

I downloaded the songs that have come out thus far last week and they are almost all that my ipod’s been pumping out since. Of course I did DL the New Moon Sndtrk last night so that will change. My original point being, YES!!!

@anya-a very dark AND peppy satire! That is a tough combo to pull off!

When I saw Lea and Kristen Chenowitz (spelling?) singing together last week – I kept wanting them to sing “Defying Gravity”. I went and put my “Wicked” cd on immediately. It would be AMAZING if they got Idina Menzel on the show (has it been long enough since she had the baby? With Taye Diggs – lucky beyotch!)
