Everyone’s favorite American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, has finally released a new music video (his first) for the title track for the upcoming action/adventure movie 2012. Time For Miracles is the schmaltzy-ballad for the end-of-the-world flick and the music video features Glambert walking the streets of what looks to be LA as the world falls into destruction all around him. Here are a few screencaps:

Except for all the exploding going on around Lambert for the duration of this video, there isn’t much action going on from the crooner himself. Sure, he gives us a plethora of pained facial expressions but … I personally find the whole thing very … meh. Granted, I’m really no fan of the pop ballad so I’m not really the target audience here but it’s kinda of a let down that such a BIG movie like 2012 saddled itself with such a small, languishing song. After the jump, check out the video in full and judge for yourselves …
When I saw the first video footage from 2012 I had high hopes that it would be a thrilling action movie extravaganza … but the more I see (and hear) the more I fear it’ll turn out to be as disappointing as movies like The Day After Tomorrow … but this movie won’t have Jake Gyllenhaal so it might be doomed from the start. Meh. As for the song … what do y’all think … do you like?

I actually like the song, but I think I’d like it better if it weren’t attached to this movie. I just didn’t like the connection (or lack of) between the song and the film footage in the video.
In all honesty I really don’t expect anything else from him.
The song is alright. I really wanted Glambert to come out swinging with a first video/single though…something more upbeat and rockin than a ballad.
meh…
I’ve never heard him sing before (not an AI fan at all), and I’m not that blown away with him. He’s all glamor.
C’mon guys! He is pretty brave to sing a country themed song while LA is and the world itself is ending. Ptsh!
I am really excited to see Armageddon and I LOVE this Aerosmith song… Oh wait… this isn’t 1998…
How Boring :/
Shouldn’t I be left thinking “HOLY CRAP I HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE HOW INTENSE!”? Yeah, no.
Aww Adam! I’m so proud that he’s out there working…has the winner of American Idol even put out a video yet? Maybe the video is lame, but his voice is incredible.
he looks dirty, not sexually, but like he needs a damn bath
LMAO @ CoCo
And I agree with spazzecu… he looks ridiculously dirty… like his make-up artist used a foundation that was three shades darker than his natural skin tone. I’m not feeling it.
As for this movie, I’m so over it. I think it’s a stupid concept based on a stupid thing that is just be over publicized to scare people like Y2K was… so boo for Hollywood making a movie on this.
On the plus side… yay Adam! I really wanted to be all like “YAY ADAM!” when his first single came out… but sadly this is not caps worthy :(
Mostly meh (and I am a fan of his) but, more than anything, this is a refreshing change from Aerosmith. Srsly.
Too bad the movie looks TERRIBLE.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
He’s supposed to look dirty..He’s around all of that destruction! I don’t mind the song, actually..The video is weak but whatever..I like this kid..I hope his next song is something exciting!
End of the world? I thought those were just giant cheese balls falling out of the sky, which apparently happens anytime Adam Lamber opens his mouth to sing. Cheese-O-Rama is right, Trent!
*Lambert, oops!
I actually really like the song, in an upset drive around in your car and sing really loud kind of way. Video is awful though.
In the first screen shot he looks like he’s trying to be Adam Gontier from Three Days Grace. And failing. Meh video and song though
I like the song up until he starts yelling at the end. I love me some Adam Lambert though. So it will do.
I love Adam…I think he seems like a funny and down-to-earth guy. I’m rooting for him big time.
