First Listen: Adam Lambert, ‘For Your Entertainment’
Earlier this week we got our first look at American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert’s album artwork for his debut effort For Your Entertainment (which is ENTIRELY too LOL-worthy to get into again) and today we get our first look at the cover artwork for the first track off his new album, also titled For Your Entertainment:

Um, I think Beyoncé needs to check her belongings because it looks like Glambert pilfered her funky hand jewelry to use as his own. Unfortch, his fingers are too stubby to make this hardware look right. BUT, not only do we get to check out the single cover artwork but we also get to hear the song itself — after the jump …
Meh, the song ain’t terrible. It’s got a nice beat … and it’s catchy. I’m not a big fan of Lambert’s music thus far but this song ain’t all bad … once you get past the single artwork ;) What do y’all think … do we love?

I dig the song! It’s really catchy and fun! The cover is alright..Better than his album cover, that’s for sure!

It sounds too much like Sam Sparro’s “Black and Gold”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHuebHTD-lY (hope it’s okay I posted this link!) But I know if I’m out and it comes on, I’ll dance to it for surrrrrre.

Eh .. I love it! I’m a Glambert fan .. so I’d gladly support his first effort out .. GO GO GLAMBERT!

Love it. Catchy. Good choice for his first single. (I’m not counting Time for Miracles, I’ve blocked that out.)

He seriously needs to stop with this cover artwork. Every time I see a new one I just laugh.

Awww… Trent! Be nice to the little guy! I think he is adorable. Let’s not pick on his stubby fingers unless he turns out to be a complete failure. ;)

I love both of the covers! Be your own fine self, Adam! I don’t think the song shows off his vocal talent, but it’s catchy!

the beat reminds me a little of britney’s womanizer..im sure we’ll be hearing a lot more of this in the clubs (esp the gay ones) :p

@Anne, I thought the same thing. It is too similar.

love adam lambert, but, ehh, its ok. it sounds like a song britney would do. if i hear it 5 more times thought i’ll probably love it, lol!

I like the artwork. It is fun, and his eyes look great. Can’t hear the song, so I will have to comment on that later.

this is SO britney and i LOVE it!!!

He sounds like Richard Marx…what I heard of him over the music, anyway.

I’ll pass…

It totally does sound like something Britney would do… I think I like it… yes…. yes I do.

I’m not as fond of it as I thought I would be. Doesn’t really show his vocal range all that much. Too flat and too much like the other pop music out there. I was a big fan of him on AI though!

I’m having flashbacks to the late 80’s…campy, but still better the Brit. Sorry, opinion only. Has a dance beat.

sounds like britney spears’ womanizer… O_o
October 30th, 2009 at 6:55 pm
I like! It’s catchy!! The artwork is campy but wasn’t that what he was going for anyways??
October 30th, 2009 at 7:47 pm
for whatever reason, i just cant understand the love for this dude.
October 30th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
He’s over the top and proud, so why not? It’s nice to have music that’s FUN again
October 30th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
It’s catchy! And fun! It isn’t really a good example of his range, but for a club song, it should do well! :-)

the song is fun & different (for Adam); i get the britney comparisons, but his voice shows plenty of range here (better listen again, folks)–unlike brit’s annoying nasal rant. personally, it’s annoying when someone with a huge range slides up & down the scale & howls on EVERY SINGLE SONG. Celine Dion anyone? although, try some of Celine’s french stuff & you’ll hear some understated, lovely songs.

I feel kind of “meh” on this song and on the single cover (although it is definitely better than the album cover). I was a big fan of Adam Lambert on American Idol but I haven’t been loving his new music quite so much.

Not bad…

First thought before I even read your post and only saw the image – “If you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it!”
I’m really not a fan of this guy at all.. :s

The Details with him on the cover is on my coffee table now, he actually looks pertty attractive on that magazine cover but looks absolutely ridiculous on both his album and single covers…seriously bad photos and photo editing
October 31st, 2009 at 10:31 am
I agree with Ben…..it’s very “Britney”. I haven’t formed a concrete opinion on “Glambert” yet (I like that). I have really high hopes for him. He definitely has charisma and his voice is coo-coo bananas great! He’s defined his image…now he needs to define his musical style….and I truly hope it’s not going to continue to bite off Britney’s style. I think he can be much, much better.
