‘Alice In Wonderland’ Releases An Extended Movie Trailer
A wee bit more
Back in July we got our first look at the first movie trailer for Tim Burton‘s version of Alice In Wonderland and today we get to check out an extended version of that trailer … here are a few screencaps:

Now … the “extended” scenes in this trailer aren’t really all that exciting … I think I noticed 2 or 3 new scenes … but I know there are many folks out there aching for any new info on this film so I think it’s worth checking out. After the jump, check out the minute long extended movie trailer for Alice In Wonderland …
This movie looks AWESOME! I can’t wait to see this trippy masterpiece on the big screen. As you may recall, Alice won’t hit theaters until March of 2010. I’m sure we’ll be gettin’ little pieces of the film like this in the coming months. I can’t wait!!

March!?
For some reason I thought May?
Well I think this will be the first movie I will see right after it comes out. It looks really good :)
So if anyone wants to read a twisted and interesting take on ‘Alice in Wonderland’ you should read this manga:

Who is the man holding the scroll?
I’ve never seen the cartoon or any other portrayal of Alice in Wonderland nor have I read the books. I find it creepy that this whole thing is based on the author who was a pedophile which is how Alice’s character came into existence. He was also on hardcore drugs while writing this novel. A lot of people don’t know that.
my halloween costume! going as mad hatter… made my hat and everything myself. so excited.
@chase – i haven’t spoken with anyone who did not know he was a major druggie. i wrote my junior english thesis in college on carroll and spent a lot of time talking with people about him. many were surprised to find out that he had less than proper relationships with several young females (though few reports claim he actually had sex with anyone underaged), but everyone i can remember either knew or guessed that he was on opium while writing almost everything he published. of course, opium was legal when he used it and there was no idea of an age of consent – many women were married at age 14 or 15, sometimes even younger. not saying that any of this absolves him, but it does explain some. anyways, none of his actions decrease the value of his works. his personal life doesn’t make his works bad, or mean that they shouldnt be read or enjoyed. many if not most great authors abused drugs and alcohol, led licentious lifestyles, and still contributed wonderful things to the annals of literature. i’ll get off my soapbox and stop preaching now, but it does irk me when people cite unimportant biographical information as a reason not to enjoy an author or work of art. not that you actually said ‘don’t read that,’ but i felt your words suggested such an idea.
I thought the actual Alice character was inspired by and written for the daughter of the dean at Oxford? At least that’s what they told us when they went there.
Super excited for this take on a classic, all the same. :)
What is new about this trailer? I didn’t see anything at all that I don’t remember seeing before.
I’m with Heather… I see nothing new, but it’s all good :)
@Amanda – Thanks for the info! I’m sorry if my words give off such vibes but I was just stating my opinion. I do want to read the book to see what the fuss is about and your information makes me feel better. : )
There are a few new scenes. I’ve seen the original trailer about 9834759384752 times. There are only a few new ones added.
