Shakira is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine. In her coverstory interview, Shakira talks at some length about her body’s need to have babies … it really sounds like someone’s biological clock is going haywire. Surprisingly enough considering the look that she went for in her most recent music video for She Wolf, Shakira is mostly clothed on the cover of RS mag … imagine that:
Unlike most women, Shakira is willing to let her body go. In fact, the 5-foot-2 Colombian “She Wolf” singer, 32, says she’s looking forward to it — if it means she’ll become a mom. “My body feels like it is asking to reproduce, to have a huge belly and carry babies,” she tells the new issue of Rolling Stone, on newsstands today. “My boyfriend is six feet tall, and sometimes I feel like I’m his keychain, a small thing.” But while the Grammy winner — currently in a nine-year, monogamous relationship with investment banker Antonio de la Rua — has long had a maternal instinct, don’t expect her to walk down the aisle any time soon. It’s something she says she’ll never do. “We live in a society that represses women’s subconscious dreams,” Shakira, who considers herself a die-hard feminist, says. “You know, women have to make enormous efforts through life, much larger than men. We deal with so many pressure: the pressure of aesthetics, and how society wants us to deliver our performances as mothers, daughters and wives. “It’s funny how the papers want to see you married, and then they want to see you divorced,” she continues. “Well, I won’t do any of it.” For more on Shakira’s desire to start a family — but not before putting the finishing touches on her Nov. 23 She Wolf album — pick up the new issue of Rolling Stone, on newsstands now.
Good for her … Shakira seems to be a woman unafraid to be exactly what she wants to be … and if she wants to have a baby, she strikes me as the type of lady who won’t wait around for a man to help her have one. You do your thang, Shakira! Ah-woooooo!
Dannii Minogue, singer, X-Factor judge and little sister to Kylie Minogue, was on hand for a special lighting ceremony at Harrods department store in London, England last night. Dannii was a vision in white and had a wee helper on hand to assist with the lighting … here are a few pics:
Dannii Minogue became a green goddess as she switched on Harrods’ Christmas lights. The X Factor judge was illuminated by a sparkling green glow as the world-famous department store’s 11,500 white lightbulbs changed colour. Minogue, wearing a single-shouldered white dress, was joined by a 10-year-old heart surgery patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Harrods chairman Mohamed al-Fayed for the ceremony. The west London store, backed by Warner Brothers, chose to turn its lights green to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the The Wizard of Oz. Harrods is also helping to raise £300,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity to fund three bedrooms in the new kidney unit. Minogue previously said: “It’s always a treat to be able to support Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity – this year will be magical with the transformation of Harrods into the Emerald City.”
So cute … and what a great event! At first, when I saw these photos, I feared Harrods was already getting on the Xmas bandwagon so I’m happy to know the lighting event was all about The Wizard of Oz ;) It does look a bit like the Emerald City, don’t it? I just love Dannii … so happy to see her doing fun events like this!!

Here are a few TO DIE FOR cute photos of Sean Preston and Jayden James, the only begotten sons of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, enjoying at day at the pumpkin patch yesterday in the company of their father (who, we noted earlier, has been losing weight due to his affiliation with the competitive reality TV series Celebrity Fit Club). I’m not sure y’all are ready for all this cuteness but here it is anyways:
Doughy Kevin Federline looked a few pounds lighter than usual, as he took sons Sean Preston and Jayden James to the Pierce College pumpkin patch in Woodland Hills, California on Thursday. The former Mr. Britney Spears, who is slated to appear on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, watched as his boys rode a mini-train and jumped on mountain stacks of hay, claiming they are the “Kings of the world” (If they only knew how right they are). A few of K-Fed’s chunky Celebrity Fit Club colleagues on the upcoming season of the popular VH1 show include Bobby Brown, Nicole Eggert and the other mother of Federline’s other two kids, Shar Jackson.
Sooooo cute! Now, because of all of this cuteness, I’ll try to not notice that Federline chose not to include his 2 other children with babymama Shar Jackson in this fun outing and instead focus on how cute Sean P. and JJ look in these pics. I’m sure it’s difficult for K-Fed’s other children to see him having so much fun with his more famous children but, well, what do you expect from a person like Kevin Federline? It really looks like the boys had a lot of fun together yesterday … and that is all that really matters :)

Last night was Date Night for David and me and because it was my turn to choose, I decided that we would do something that neither of us have ever done before but I have ALWAYS wanted to. Ever since I moved to LA over 3 years ago, my good friend Adriana has been urging me to go see Lucha VaVoom! I’ve always been curious about Mexican Masked Wrestling and I can appreciate a good burlesque show so I was intrigued … but every time the show took place here in LA, I was out of town. This year, thankfully, David and I were in town to see it … and it was a blast:
