But claims he'd "rather have him alive"
Joe Jackson Insists The Late Michael Jackson Is ‘Worth More Dead Than Alive’

Now that the new documentary/concert film Michael Jackson’s This Is It has been released in movie theaters, Jackson patriarch Joesph is back on TV talking to any and everyone about his deceased son. In a new interview with Extra! TV scheduled to air later on today, Joe very lovingly explains that his late son is worth more money now that he is dead than when he was alive. He does go on to clarify that he would rather his son be alive but there is an insincerely in his tone that, to me, belies that sentiment. Here is a pic of Joe‘s appearance on Extra! and some excerpts from his interview:

Joe Jackson says that Michael is making a bigger impact than ever since his June death from an apparent drug overdose. “He’s worth more dead than when he was alive,” Joe, 80, tells “Extra” in an interview that airs Thursday night. “I’d rather have him alive.” As Michael’s movie “This Is It” rakes in $2.2 million in the box office, Joe adds, “When he was living, they didn’t show this.” Joe admits he wasn’t on board with the flick at first, which documents Michael rehearsing for his comeback tour of the same name. “I didn’t know what ‘This Is It’ meant,” says Joe, who spoke to “Extra” in Las Vegas at the unveiling of a celebrity star honoring him and his famous family. But the movie allows him to remember Michael “as I knew him best: performing and dancing on stage. Entertaining people,” he says. Hearing Michael’s songs make Joe “very emotional,” he admits. He sometimes sheds tears “when I’m off to myself and I start thinking about things that we went through,” he says. “No one will ever see me, though.” He has harsher feelings for his son’s doctor, Conrad Murray, who is currently under investigation on manslaughter charges. Joe says if he saw Murray, he’d “knock him out.”

It’s very difficult for me to stomach the caring, nurturing sentiments presented by Joe Jackson here considering the way he has been described by others, particularly Michael Jackson himself. In the end, tho, no matter how horrible Joseph may have been to his children (and I have *NO DOUBT* that he was a horrible father to his children) … he is still a father and I have to believe that some part of him truly does feel sympathetic love for his children. That’s not to say that he didn’t exploit and use them at every opportunity for his own financial gain but the man is human after all … there has to be some love in there somewhere. It really does gross me out to hear him speak so “lovingly” about his late son … while I believe that he may have some heartfelt feelings for MJ, it’s really hard to believe his sincerity when he is so willing to express those feelings for a fee on national television. Ugh.

Britney Spears Keeps Teasin’ Her New ‘3’ Music Video

Yesterday we learned from Britney Spears herself (well, at least, from her official Twitter account) that the new music video for her new single 3 will premiere online tomorrow and to get fans amped up for it’s release, she will release 3 teaser screencaps from the video and 3 five second clips ahead of the video’s debut. The first teaser pic was posted yesterday, here are the other two teaser pics that have been released:

These teaser pics are cute … but I seriously want more already. Additionally, the first 5 second teaser vid clip has been released — check it out in full after the jump …

Part Deux
Levi Johnston Talks To ‘The Early Show’ Again, Sarah Palin Responds

Yesterday we saw an interview with Levi Johnston, former potential son-in-law of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, on The Early Show wherein he talked about all the potentially damaging secrets that he claims to know about Palin. In response, Palin issued a statement after Johnston‘s televised appearance denouncing his claims but before we get to that, let’s get to Part 2 of Johnston‘s interview on The Early Show. Here are a few caps from his second appearance on the show earlier today:

This part of the interview is all about Levi and his plans for the future … with the focus on his upcoming nude pictorial for Playgirl. Levi explains why he is dropping trou for the publication (and he will be showing it all … that means P33N people!) and explains that he is willing to do what it takes to care for his family since he has become the sole money maker for his family since his mother was incarcerated for selling prescription drugs. Hey, a guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do. Johnston also reveals more dirt on Sarah Palin, including his claim that Palin tried to get Johnston and her daughter Bristol to hide their pregnancy so that she could adopt the baby herself. Yikes! After the jump, watch Part 2 of Johnston‘s interview on The Early Show and read what Sarah Palin has to say in response to his latest claims about her …

Then goes on a date with him ... again
Taylor Swift Talks To Ellen Degeneres About Taylor Lautner

All week long we’ve been following the exploits of new couple Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner as they have been popping up all over SoCal in one another’s close company … and at last, Taylor Swift is talking about it. Swift paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday for the ep which will air today and was asked by Ellen about her burgeoning (and public) new relationship with Taylor Lautner. Here is a photo of Swift‘s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and an excerpt from her interview:

Ice hockey? Sure. Tonsil hockey? Not so fast! When it comes to Valentine’s Day costar Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift is choosing her words – and well-timed giggles – carefully. The 19-year-old singer sat down with Ellen DeGeneres for an interview that is set to air Thursday, and found herself on the hot seat. After establishing that Swift shares scenes with the Twilight hottie in the upcoming romantic comedy, DeGeneres shows a picture of them kissing. “What’s happening there. Is that part of the movie?” asks the talkshow host. Swift confirms it’s an on-screen smooch, but later gets chided for playing “coy” when pressed on whether Lautner is a “good kisser.” DeGeneres was also armed with a shot of the two at a recent hockey game. “Is that part of the movie when you all go to some kind of game together?” DeGeneres asks. “Is that part of the movie too?” “I really like hockey a lot and it turns out so does he,” Swift responds. “Wow, So you just ran into each other?” DeGeneres counters, incredulous. Sounds believable enough, right? Swift just laughed.

Hahahaha … cute. It’s smart of Swift to play coy about her relationship with Lautner. Keep in mind, not only does Taylor2 have a new movie to promote together (Valentine’s Day) but Swift will also be hosting Saturday Night Live very soon … and all this talk of her creepin’ around with Lautner is a publicist’s WET DREAM! That is not to say that this coupling has been staged for publicity but, well, in Hollywood anything is possible (there are even reports that Swift will do a skit with Kanye West, the a-hole who ruined her MTV VMAs this year, when she hosts SNL in a couple of weeks). I, personally, choose to believe that Taylor2 are close, close friends and are hanging out a lot these days because of a mutual admiration for one another ;) The couple stepped out for another date last night, too. After the jump, check out Taylor2 out on the town again last night …
