There's a new wolf on the block
Alex Meraz Does ‘People’ Magazine

With all the hype surrounding hottie actors Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in The Twilight Saga series of films, it’s easy to forget that there are other hotties to behold in the films as well. I’ve already taken notice of Kellan Lutz and today Boy Culture makes me take notice of Alex Meraz. Meraz plays one of the werewolves in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and has clearly been taking notes from Taylor Lautner about how to promote oneself … by losing one’s shirt:

Oh yes … there is quite a bit to see in these Twilight films … even if you could give two hoots about vampires and werewolves. After the jump, check out another sexy pic of Alex Meraz in the pages of People magazine …

It's about that time
Nicole Richie & Joel Madden Take Harlow Winter To The Pumpkin Patch

We are just a couple days away from Hallowe’en so hopefully all y’all have your pumpkins picked and carved and ready to go … newish pics today show that Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and their first born child Harlow Winter already have their pumpkins picked out and ready to go:

As you can see, Nic/Joel did not bring along their newborn baby boy Sparrow James to enjoy the pumpkin picking fun … but it looks like a fun time was had by all. They are just so cute! I wonder if we’re gonna be able to see what Harlow is dressing up as for Hallowe’en.

A man of his word
Pete Wentz Gets A New Tattoo Of Gabe Saporta

So … ok … as far as I can ascertain, Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy) and Gabe Saporta (Cobra Starship) got themselves into a little bet … and while I’m not entirely sure what the bet was about, I do know that Pete lost and Gabe won. And so, because Gabe was the winner and Pete was the loser, the bet had to be paid … Pete Wentz got a tattoo of Gabe Saporta‘s face on his leg … and shared the whole experience on Twitter:

Here is the series of tweets from Gabe Saporta about this tattoo bet thing:

It’s all happening! @petewentz is getting my face tattooed by @dansmithunknown backstage at ClubNokia in LA right / It’s done. I am a part of @petewentz forever. Be careful when you wish for… / “Wow. Tonight was so crazy. Did it even really happen? I mean did @petewentz really get @gabrielsaporta’s face tattooed on his leg by @dansmithunknown?

Here is the series of tweets from Pete Wentz:

my head hurts. i was buzzed lightyear last night. followed thru on a gentlemens bet w/@gabrielsaporta now i have 1 more bad tattoo. / Oh ps to clarify @dansmithunknown did rad work and has a cool kiwi accent. Its just a bad tat to get gabeybaby.

Apparently, there is more to the bet because Pete added:

the real question is will @gabrielsaporta hold up his end of the bet if “hot mess” goes gold? either way fun show last night. good crowd.

I guess we’ll have to wait to find out how well Cobra Starship’s album Hot Mess does in sales to find out who will win the next round of betting … and what the price will be for the loser.

I gotta say, the tattoo doesn’t look all that much like Gabe A-HA! THIS is the photo of Gabe the tattoo is based on and yes, it does look like him … I guess it’s cool that Pete is a man of his word and got the tattoo after losing the bet. Tho, I should add, it’s not really that cool at all to bet about getting tattoos.

And NSFWly covered in nothing but chocolate
Heidi Klum Is ‘Heidilicious’

Supermodel and new mom (again) Heidi Klum is the subject of a new photobook by celeb photographer Rankin (née John Rankin Waddell) titled Heidilicious which is full of, well, photos of Heidi Klum. I would imagine that many of the photos in this new book are on the racier (ie. nekkid) side … I mean, judging by this photo alone:

That’s a lot of chocolate Heidi‘s wearing … and, wouldn’t you know it, all of that chocolate doesn’t completely cover everything adequately. HMMM … yeah, you see what I mean about the tone of this book. After the jump, check out a few NSFW uncensored photos from Rankin’s Heidilicious which feature more of this chocolate fun …

Bump Watch!
Gisele Bündchen & Baby Bump Brave The Brisk Weather

Last weekend we saw photos of Gisele Bündchen and her burgeoning baby bump braving the cold rain in NYC and today we get to see pics of Gisele and said bump out and about on the streets of NYC earlier this week boldly braving the cold air:

No matter what Mother Nature throws at mom-to-be Giesle she ain’t lettin’ her baby bump be seen in public without a bit of style. I know that Gisele is still a couple months away from poppin’ but I’d be willing to bet that she prolly won’t get much bigger than this. Doesn’t she strike you as the type of woman who will carry a tiny baby bump which will immediately disappear as soon as the baby is born as if it never existed in the first place? She has a lovely glow about her … methinks motherhood will do her wonders :)

The TV Guide
HORROR-bly Fun

Last night David and I were invited to join a group of friends at Universal Studios to enjoy a night of fun at Halloween Horror Nights (the same thing that MJ‘s kids and Elizabeth Taylor enjoyed a couple of weeks ago). To be honest, when I agreed to attend I wasn’t really anticipating that it would be an actual night of horror … I guess I thought it was gonna be more like Halloween Time at Disneyland … yeah, I was wrong about that. There are few things in life that I hate more than haunted houses so when I learned that we’d be visiting mazes based on some Universal horror films … I damn near bolted for the door. But, because I was with a group of good friends (and I knew I could rely on Tamar to be just as scared as I was … she is THE BEST friend to have around when you’re scared) I bit the bullet and just enjoyed … and had the time of my life! I was SO impressed with the horror attractions at Universal … the haunted houses looked exactly like the movie sets used in Halloween, SAW, My Bloody Valentine, etc. Yes, there were a lot of things jumping out at you but … with a group of friends (and David’s jacket to hide under) it was really fun. Here are some pics that I snapped with my phone at Universal Studios last night:

In addition to the horror stuff, we got to visit sound stages, back lot sets and got to ride some fun rides. After the jump, check out some Polaroid pics that we snapped last night and see some of our superfun photos from a couple of the rides we rode last night …

‘Alice In Wonderland’ Releases An Extended Movie Trailer

Back in July we got our first look at the first movie trailer for Tim Burton‘s version of Alice In Wonderland and today we get to check out an extended version of that trailer … here are a few screencaps:

Now … the “extended” scenes in this trailer aren’t really all that exciting … I think I noticed 2 or 3 new scenes … but I know there are many folks out there aching for any new info on this film so I think it’s worth checking out. After the jump, check out the minute long extended movie trailer for Alice In Wonderland

Way too much cuteness in one blogpost!
Jake Gyllenhaal Pays A Visit To ‘Sesame Street’

Sesame Street is gettin’ ready to air its 40th season on PBS and have announced a new batch of celebs who will be paying a visit to the Sesame gang in upcoming new eps. Here is a pic of Elmo with Jake Gyllenhaal, who will be among the famous folks visiting Sesame Street this season:

For their upcoming 40th season, “Sesame Street” welcomes a whole host of famous faces — Cameron Diaz, Adam Sandler, Eva Longoria, Ricky Gervais, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, Hugh Jackman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Matthew Fox and Michelle Obama — and one totally non-famous one — me! I recently had the privilege of visiting the world’s most famous address, but more on that closer to the Nov. 10 season premiere. In the meanwhile, please enjoy this pic of my favorite furry friend, Jake Gyllehnaal Elmo, spending some QT with the equally adorable Jake Gyllenhaal.

Damn … kids these days are lucky has hell! I honestly don’t remember too many famous faces popping up on Sesame Street back in the day when I used to watch but I still have fond memories of the show. Now that kids get all the fun of Sesame PLUS Jakey poo … ugh, learning is so fun!!

The $11,000 film has made $62 million ... and counting
‘Paranormal Activity’ Does ‘Entertainment Weekly’ Magazine

Paranormal Activity, the little horror movie that could, continues to rack up millions at the box office and is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine. Much like the late 90′s low budget film The Blair Witch Project took the box office by storm, so too is Paranormal raking in the big bucks. Here are the stars, Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat, on the cover of the new issue of EW mag and a portion of the coverstory article:

Paranormal Activity began its otherworldly existence as a little horror flick, made for $11,000 and shot entirely in the director’s house over the course of seven days. Now, thanks to a little help from Steven Spielberg and a savvy world-of-mouth marketing campaign by Paramount, its box office total has reached $62 million and counting. Hollywood is spellbound — and there are even plans for a sequel. But the film has proved positively life-changing for stars Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat, who were originally paid $500 each for their work (and who, like writer-director Oren Peli, will reap some of the film’s profits). “I don’t have to have a job other than acting,” says Featherston, who was until recently waiting tables. “So I bought a handbag,” she adds with a laugh. Now it’s a matter of keeping their careers in motion. “I just have to get out there and audition and use this opportunity to the best of my advantage,” she says. “I’ve been at this a long time, and I’m not gonna stop now.” Though neither she nor Sloat have lined up their next job, they’ve both signed with agents. And they seem almost embarrassed by the VIP treatment the industry is starting to give them. “The quality of meetings we’re able to get right now are much higher. So are the scripts,” says Featherston. Sloat adds: “Just going in the room with casting directors is a lot different. It’s like, ‘Okay, I’ve seen your work, I know what you can do. Let’s just see you in this role.’” The actor has at least one idea for spending his newfound capital. “I would love to have a massive party and meet all the sweaty, geeky, awesome fans who posted on the Internet and believed in the film,” he says. “I just want to thank them.”

I’ve already pledged my love for the film but I’ve been hearing increasing backlash that the film “isn’t scary” and that it “sucks” which is totally normal when the hype level gets this high. In all honesty, I’m quite sure the film is not at all scary to a lot of people so their complaints are totally valid. I remember that Blair Witch enjoyed about 2 weeks of love from EVERYONE before the hype took over and people started complaining how un-scary it was. With films like these, you have to just ignore the hype, let the movie take you into its world and you either like it or you don’t. I have to say that in this new age of the Internet over-saturation, I’m pleased to know that a tiny film like this can still achieve massive amounts of success. I just hope they don’t kill this great, fun thing with an endless stream of terrible sequels.
