Marc Anthony Has Noticeably Sweaty Pit Stains

Jennifer Lopez and her overly perspirationous husband Marc Anthony showed up on the red carpet (!!!) of the Miami Dolphins game in Florida last night and much to their embarrassment, Anthony was brazenly showing off his soaking wet pit stains all night long. Um, can someone get Marc Anthony some antiperspirant STAT before we all puke onto our shoes?

Since buying a stake in the Miami Dolphins in July, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have been bringing a touch of A-list glamour to the American football scene. But arriving to watch their men play the New Orleans Saints in Florida yesterday afternoon, the Latin singer’s smart outfit was let down by his incredibly sweaty armpits. Falling prey to the sweltering [87.8 °F] sunshine, the 41-year-old couldn’t escape the unsightly sweat patches. While his 40-year-old wife showed off her curves in a black sundress and platform heels, it was Marc garnering the most attention with his damp shirt. Due to the heat, Jennifer’s face was also glistening with sweat, but it looked more like a flattering healthy glow. Marc and Jennifer have become regular attendees at Miami Dolphin games since they purchased a minority stake in the game over the summer. Unfortunately for the couple, the Saints won the game 46-34.

I mean, I realize it can get hot in Florida but other people managed to walk the red carpet without sweating thru their clothes. I can’t even imagine what it must be like for J. Lo to nuzzle up against her husband and get an armpit (or two) of stanky pit sweat. GROSS!! Heaven forbid that Marc put his arm around his lady love … he’d prolly drown the poor woman! UGH. Mebbe Marc, who is now part owner of the Dolphins, was sweating because his team has been playing like shit every since he bought ownership in the team? Whatever the case may be, he really needs to keep that shizz in check … it’s difficult enough to see pics of his zombielookin’ness without the pit stains … ICK!

The third 'Twilight' film gets released on June 30, 2010
‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ Gets A New Title Logo

Back in February of this year we got our first look at the new title logo for the new Twilight sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Today we get our first look at the title logo newly released for the next sequel film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse:

You may also recall that shortly after the New Moon title logo was revealed Summit Entertainment announced that Eclipse will hit theaters in June of 2010. From Twilight to New Moon and then to Eclipse, it is very evident that the movie studio is intent on churning out the films at a fast pace … which is why it’s so surprising that there has been no news of any production plans for the fourth Twilight sequel Breaking Dawn. I have no doubt that Breaking Dawn will get made … I just wonder what the hold up is. HMMM. Could it be that the principal stars are holding out for more money? Could it be that the studio isn’t entirely sure that a fourth movie is a wise investment right now? Whatever the hold up may be, I’m pretty sure we’ll be hearing official word on the Breaking Dawn front very soon. The Twilight Saga: New Moon is set to open in theaters in just a few weeks … after the din of shrieking girls dies down and the studio starts counting its money methinks plans for the fourth and final movie will come to light.

Brad Pitt Goes For A Spin On His Motorcycle, Takes A Spill

Brad Pitt was spotted enjoying a leisurely ride on his motorcycle this weekend before the actor took a bit of a spill off his bike … in full view of the ever-watchful paparazzi. Apparently, Brad was trying to thread his way thru traffic on his bike (which is legal in the State of California) and he accidentally clipped a side mirror on a car and took his tumble. Here is a pic of Brad lookin’ all happy on his bike before his little and embarrassing fall:

This is the moment Brad Pitt was thrown off his custom motorbike seconds before confronting a paparazzo in downtown Los Angeles. Pitt was weaving through busy traffic when the eager photographer drove his Toyota Camry too close to the star. The actor lost his balance while swerving to avoid the car and clipped the wing mirror of a parked vehicle. Thankfully, the film star, who is used to daring stunts, was unharmed. One thing is certain, though – Brad ended up on the floor while his bike ended up on the back of a truck, too mangled to ride home. But onlookers said the Inglourious Basterds and Ocean’s Thirteen actor, who was wearing a gold crash helmet, simply picked himself up and pulled his damaged bike to the side of the road. He swapped insurance details with the driver whose car he clipped before trying to start his bike again – and discovering it was in no fit state for the journey back to the ranch he shares with Angelina Jolie and their six children. The 46-year-old had to wait in a building by the side of the road for his assistant to arrive with the pick-up truck.

Aww … it sucks that Brad‘s bike was damaged but at least he wasn’t hurt. After the jump, check out photos of Brad‘s spill …

Jakey poo and his dad spend some quality bonding time together
Jake & Stephen Gyllenhaal Hit The Streets Of NYC

Hottie McHoster Jake Gyllenhaal and his father Stephen were spotted roaming the streets of NYC together this weekend enjoying a bit of bonding time together. It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen Jakey poo out and about without Reese Witherspoon by his side so while I would much prefer to see photos of the chap all by himself (preferably in some state of undress), I guess I can live with photos of Jake with his dad:

Aren’t these a fine pair of handsome men? I love it when Jake spends time with his family … we usually see him with his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal but it really looks like Jake and his dad are best buds. He’s such a nice boy … whoever manages to nab him is a lucky duck … and worthy of my jealous hate ;) I keed, I keed … kinda but not really ;)

The Raising Malawi Academy for Girls will open by 2011
Madonna Plants A Tree, Builds A School In Malawi

Madonna has made her way to Malawi this week to plant a tree and officially break ground on the site of a new girls school to be called The Raising Malawi Academy for Girls which is slated to open by 2011. Maddy and her children — Lourdes Maria, Rocco John, David Banda and Chifundo Mercy James — were all in attendance at today’s tree planting/ground breaking ceremony … here are a few photos:

Madonna marked the start of construction of her school for girls in Malawi on Monday by planting a tree at the planned site of the $15 million school. The 51-year-old celebrity arrived in the impoverished southern African country on Sunday accompanied by her four children — daughters Lourdes and Mercy, and sons Rocco and David. Madonna adopted Mercy from Malawi earlier this year and adopted David from the country in 2008. The singer was dressed in a dark summer dress and a colorful shawl during Monday’s ceremony in the town of Chinkhota, some six miles (10 kilometers) from the capital, Lilongwe. Together with eldest daughter Lourdes she planted a Moringa tree, a hardy tree with edible leaves. “If this school is a success — with God-willing it will be — we will replicate it not only in Malawi but in other parts of the world as well,” she said. The new school will be called the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls and will open by 2011 and educate 500 students, said its future principal, Anjimile Mtila-Opponyo. It will be similar to the school built by talk show host Oprah Winfrey in South Africa. Mtila-Opponyo said the curriculum will emphasize science and mathematics. “Madonna did not accept that Malawian women would not study science to become doctors,” she said. The singer told some 1,000 gathered villagers she was inspired by the strength of Malawian girls and women. “In all my travels, investigations and conversations the most recurring thing is how amazing Malawian women are, both young and old, how industrious they are and how much they deserve to be educated,” she said. Madonna’s Raising Malawi, a charity founded in 2006 when she first visited the country, helps feed, educate and provide medical care for some of Malawi’s orphans. Malawi, a nation of 12 million, is one of the poorest countries in the world. About 500,000 children have lost a parent to AIDS. Madonna will also meet with President Bingu wa Mutharika on Tuesday and visit some of the orphanages her charity supports.

Clearly Madonna has big plans to make good on her promise to give back to the country that has given so much to her. It’s very clear that she loves her adopted children very, very much and is working as hard as she can to enrich the region as best she can. It would’ve been very easy for Madonna to adopt her children, throw some money towards Malawi and never look back. I have every confidence that her commitment to the people of Malawi is genuine and true. It is my sincere hope that The Raising Malwai Academy for Girls is a huge success … and will help educate a new generation of girls so that they can forge their own successful futures. This is so great!! If you would like to donate to Raising Malawi and help Madonna in her endeavors, you can find out how to do so HERE. Madonna will MATCH whatever amount you choose to donate!

The TV Guide
Moment: 10 Years Later

As I mentioned earlier today, David and I attended a stunning performance of The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, An Epilogue as staged by a group of insanely talented actors at the Hollywood United Methodist Church yesterday afternoon:

I was so umprepared for the emotional impact of the show that I felt physically drained aftwards. I almost decided to call it a day but I have a standing date with my friends to hang out on Sunday nights so I rallied and made my way to Darion’s for dinner. His friend Yasmine joined us and we had a blast … Jordan showed up after dinner and we spent the rest of the night playing Rock Band. ‘Twas a very fun night … and a great way to wind up the weekend.

This coming week is really bizzy … we’ve got things scheduled every single night. This afternoon, I have some errands to run … not the least of which is to pick up props for my Hallowe’en costume. I’m SO excited about my costume … I can’t WAIT to wear it!! I’m gonna keep my costume a secret for now … and will make the big reveal on my Twitter account on Hallowe’en … stay tuned :)

Looking back 10 years after the murder of Matthew Shepard
Celebs Stage ‘The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, An Epilogue’

Yesterday afternoon David and I attended a theatrical reading/performance of The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, An Epilogue which is a sequel of sorts to the critically acclaimed play The Laramie Project which chronicled the year after the brutal murder of Matthew Shepard took place in Laramie, WY. Laramie: 10 Years Later picks up 10 years after Shepard‘s brutal murder and chronicles the ways Laramie has changed and not changed in that time. Yesterday’s performance took place at the Hollywood United Methodist Church and featured an all-star cast of players … Julie Benz (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dexter), Christian Clemenson (CSI: Miami), James Cromwell (Babe, The Queen), Lisa Edelstein (House, M.D.), Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory), Barrett Foa (NCIS: Los Angeles), Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory), Pauley Perrette (NCIS), Zachary Quinto (Heroes, Star Trek), Helen Shaver (The L Word), Michael Weatherly (NCIS). Here is a photo of the cast, taken by Richard Settle from the United Methodist Church, and an interview with actress Pauley Perrette about the performance:

NCIS’ Pauley Perrette and more of TV’s biggest stars are banding together for a one-time performance of The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later to benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation and stand up for gay rights. The play is a sequel to The Laramie Project, which was based on the reactions of people in Laramie, Wyo., after Shepard, a 21-year-old gay college student, was murdered there in 1998. The new production revisits the townspeople a decade later and also portrays an interview with one of Shepard’s killers. The new play began performances across the country on Oct. 12. Perrette said she was approached by a member of her church, Hollywood United Methodist Church, about putting together a reading of the play there. Pretty soon, Perrette’s NCIS co-star Michael Weatherly, The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki, House’s Lisa Edelstein, Dexter’s Julie Benz, Heroes’ Zachary Quinto and Emmy winner Christian Clemenson were all on board. “We have so many people from so many different shows, which is fun,” Perrette toldTVGuide.com. “Everyone we called was like, ‘I’m in.’ It’s really incredible. We’re just extremely excited, and it’s really amazing to have that many people come together to do something that’s important.” The reading is planned to coincide with a book signing and speaking appearance by Shepard’s mother, Judy. All proceeds go to benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation, which promotes antiviolence toward the gay and lesbian community. Perrette, who describes herself as an “outspoken civil rights activist who never shuts up,” says it’s important for people to stand up and be heard. “With so much going on with Prop. 8 and everything else right now, LGBT civil rights activism is what’s most necessary,” Perrette said. “In the women’s movement, women needed men to stand up and say this isn’t right. In the civil rights of the ’60s, it took people of all color to demand equal rights. And in this case, it takes straight chicks like me to demand equal rights for everybody.” Perrette also said it is incumbent on the government to make changes. “I believe that what is legislated bleeds down into everything,” she says. “So if the legislation continues to uphold anything that doesn’t support equal rights and civil rights, that bleeds down into Matthew Shepard being murdered.” Coincidentally, moments after we interviewed Perrette, news broke that the Senate passed a hate-crimes amendment that was partly inspired by Shepard’s murder.

The performance yesterday was … stunning. I was not fully prepared for the emotion that overwhelmed me as I heard the works spoken on that stage. It’s pretty incredible to know that it’s been 10 years since Matthew Shepard was brutally murdered for being gay and so much remains unchanged in that time. I cannot for the life of me imagine what it must feel like to endure that kind of loss … hearing the words spoken from the people of Laramie really hit me hard. Kudos goes out to the cast and crew of this extremely powerful performance. I urge all of you to read The Laramie Project and, if possible, see a performance of The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, An Epilogue and be reminded that hate crimes are still as prevalent in this country today as they were 10 years ago … and earlier. I’m encouraged that the Senate finally passed a hate crimes amendment … it is a great step forward in policing the safety and protection of all US citizens.

"I am a target. I don’t know why I am, but I am, and I accept that."
Lindsay Lohan Does ‘The Sunday Times: Style’

Lindsay Lohan, budding fashion designer extraordinaire, is featured on the cover of the Style section of the UK newspaper The Sunday Times … in her coverstory interview, Lindsay opens up about the recent Ungaro fashion show that she “oversaw” and was described by pretty much all accounts as a disaster. Lindsay, aware of the way she seems to be targeted by critics, brushes off the negative reviews and seems happy with her place in the world of Fashion. Here is Lindsay‘s Sunday Times: Style coverphoto and some excerpts from the coverstory interview/article:

You look like a good girl, but we all know you are bad,” goads the photographer Ellen von Unwerth, as she snaps Lindsay Lohan vamping it up on the floor of her room at Hôtel Plaza Athenée in Paris. Lohan revels in this reference to her notoriety, and pouts harder, throwing back her waist-length, newly blonde hair (the result, she reveals, of two 12-hour days in the salon). The room looks like the aftermath of one of those home-alone teen parties advertised on Facebook that then gets horribly out of hand. Chaos rules. Designer clothes are strewn everywhere; most of them from a sweep of the Emanuel Ungaro boutique that Lohan made upon her arrival in Paris, walking away with an estimated £90,000 worth of free clothes. Shoes, make-up, jewellery, even a stray lampshade obscure the hotel carpet. Her passport is in here somewhere. She’s been looking for it for days. Frankly, I’m surprised Lohan’s got the energy even to raise a smile. It’s been a trying week. She’s in town for her new gig as artistic advisor to the once-revered house of Emanuel Ungaro. How much work that actually involved was revealed when her catwalk show was roundly drubbed by the fashion community the following day; as her new fashion sugar daddy, the CEO of Emanuel Ungaro, Mounir Moufarrige, put it: “They knifed us.” With no formal design experience, it was hardly a surprise, but there is a logic behind fashion’s new Faustian pact. Lohan brings notoriety, press (good and bad) and a worldwide audience to a house that has been on the skids for years. If that can be translated into sales, the brand’s future could be secure. Moufarrige won’t reveal her pay package, saying only that it is “quite enough. It’s expensive”. Given her unpredictability, it is also a risk. Her fragility, says Moufarrige, “has been factored in”. It needs to be … The big question for anyone interviewing her is: will she actually turn up? Lohan had already cancelled several interviews during her stay in Paris. The day before our shoot, I’m told Lohan has been rushed to hospital with food poisoning. (The night before, she’d been to a Mario Testino party and was hanging out with Daphne Guinness.) Despite her fragile state, confirmation of our meet and shoot finally comes through just before midnight.

Around noon, Lohan makes it out of her room and into the hotel lobby; late, bizarrely, because she wanted to tidy up her suite before we arrived (yes, our pictures are the “after” shots). She’s obviously tired, and her wet hair suggests she’s just woken up, but she is here.

Wearing a ruched black Emanuel Ungaro minidress, thigh boots, a sequined black beret and a large Chanel scarf (she’d treated her 15-year-old sister, Ali, to a shopping spree there earlier in the week), the first thing you notice is how tiny she is, then what a large bosom she has. Her pale skin has been sprayed the colour of a ginger-snap biscuit and the lines etched into her freckled forehead make her look at least 10 years older than she is. She orders an iced water in a voice honed by too many cigarettes and a lifetime of late nights. When she sniffs, which is often, she refers to “my allergies”.

Despite all these signs of fatigue, she talks at breakneck speed, racing though sentences and peppering them with California-isms. “I’ve always been really interested in, you know, the fashion industry, and I really have a great appreciation for designers, and all the work that goes into one piece of clothing, and how expressive it can be,” she announces. Of her role at Emanuel Ungaro, she says: “This is more personal to me. It is more about who I am and what I want to say as a person through clothing.”

And what exactly does she want to say? Her efforts, pulled together in three short weeks with her design partner, Estrella Archs, resulted in a parade of teeny ruched party dresses, scattered with heart motifs and rhinestones (left). It was fun, young, but not ground-breaking. Lohan appeared dazed and emotional as she took her catwalk bow, her big, wide eyes filled with the kind of grateful tears that suggested Disney had made all her fashion dreams come true. “It was such a surreal experience and I think I was emotional probably for the entire week, but when we walked out, it was a good feeling,” she says.

In the scrum backstage (one journalist crawled on her belly, between the legs of the photographers, merely to get a quote from the starlet), she said that the whole experience had been “like a fairy tale”. Then after this soaring high came a crashing low. The reviews began to flood in and the dream became a nightmare — a familiar pattern for Lohan. The industry bible, WWD, called her efforts “an embarrassment”; others were not so kind.

After the jump, check out some a few photos from this Sunday Times article, find out how Lindsay dealt with the harsh reviews of her Ungaro fashion show and find out what she’s got planned for the future …

Bedazzling
La Toya Jackson Shops Up A Storm On Rodeo Drive

La Toya Jackson, who has become quite the social butterfly in recent weeks, was spotted on the streets of Beverly Hills, CA over the weekend. Actually, she was spotted on one Beverly Hills street in particular … Rodeo Drive. Here are pics of Toy wearing a very bedazzling outfit as she enjoyed a day of shopping on one of the world’s most expensive streets:

Whether she’s dining out with family members or just dining out alone, La Toya has been pretty vigilant about going out on a semi-nightly basis. Now that the spotlight of attention has been focused on her family, she seems happy to bask in its glow … which is prolly why she insists on wearing such sparkling outfits … to better catch the limelight. I would assume that Toy Toy picked up a few more sparkly things on this trip to Rodeo Drive … after all, she’ll need something shiny and new to wear when she goes out on the town again ;)
