Glee, arguably the most buzzed about new hit series of this Fall TV season, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine. Altho the series features a eclectic and diverse cast of characters, this week’s EW coverphoto only features 3 principal stars of show. HMMM. Nonetheless, with a show as successful as Glee, it’s no wonder that it’s finally being splashed on magazine covers … like this one for Entertainment Weekly:

This season’s most unexpected success story, Glee is snarky, theatrical, totally addictive — and a cult phenomenon on its way to becoming a national obsession. The comedy is currently averaging a steady 8 million viewers a week, and the people watching are enviably young: Five million of its viewers are in the desirable 18–49 demo. (It’s little wonder that in September, Fox made Glee the first new fall series to be given a full 22-episode pickup.) Meanwhile, fans are staying engaged even after the episodes are over by downloading the cast’s newest cover tunes. More than 1.7 million Glee songs have been sold since May, and that’s after only seven episodes. “I thought it would be a huge project, but I didn’t know it would be this big,” says Rob Stringer, chairman of Columbia/Epic, Glee’s label. “The public appetite for this music is incredibly intense.” Adds the comedy’s co-creator Ryan Murphy (Nip/Tuck), “It seems to have transcended just being a television show to moving into other cultural areas.” The number of die-hard Glee fans — or “Gleeks,” as they call themselves — is bound to grow early next year, when episodes will follow American Idol. The young cast of newcomers is already beginning to see the effects of Glee mania. “I was at Disneyland yesterday — big mistake,” says Chris Colfer, who plays gay fashionista Kurt. “I might as well have walked around with a target on my shirt, because those are our fans. I stopped and took pictures probably 40 times in between rides. This one lady got a picture of me on the Tower of Terror and had me sign it.” Says co-creator Brad Falchuk, “I keep getting e-mails and phone calls and running into people at parties just telling me the show makes them feel happy.”

I admit it … I’m a Gleek. While I find the storyline marginally entertaining, I just cannot resist the fun musical numbers. To be honest, I tend to watch the show in the background while I work and then pause/perk up when I hear a musical number kick in. It’s fun having 3 numbers to look forward to each ep. In really exciting Glee news, the show has secured the rights to Madonna‘s catalog of songs and is planning an “all-Madonna” ep to air next year:

EW has learned that Madonna has given Glee the rights to her catalog and that an all-Madonna-music episode is in the works for early next year. The hit series has been building an audience and filling the iTunes charts with its cover songs, and Madonna’s involvement is a testament to how big the show is getting. Also, an amazing Glee cover of a classic Madonna track has the potential to be even bigger than the show’s blockbuster take on “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Quinn totally has to do “Papa Don’t Preach.” And I can completely see Rachel tackling “Material Girl.”

Trent Reznor, newly happily married to his beautiful bride Mariqueen Maandig Reznor this past weekend here in SoCal, has teamed up with the hit Fox sci-fi series Fringe on a new promo video for the show. Altho Nine Inch Nails came to an end just last month when they played their final live concert ever at The Wiltern theater here in LA, TR reworked the NIN song Zero Sum for use in the new Fringe promo video. It may not be a paranormal event, but it’s cool and unusual: Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has teamed up with Fringe for a new promo spot, EW.com has learned. The spot, which debuts Thursday during Game 5 of the American League Championship Series, features a reworking of the Nine Inch Nails song “Zero-Sum” by Reznor, who recites lines of dialogue from Fringe’s William Bell (Leonard Nimoy) over the music. So, how did the freaky drama series secure the services of Reznor? After Fox’s marketing department showed the Fringe producers a version of the promo that used “Zero-Sum,” series exec producer Jeff Pinkner simply asked a nearby Reznor acquaintance—that’d be co-creator J.J. Abrams—if the NIN musician might be interested in a collaboration. One email later, Reznor was on the case. “We offered him compensation, and he said, ‘No, no, I just want to have fun and be part of something cool,’” says Pinkner, adding: “How often do you get the chance to work with somebody like that?” Reznor wound up revamping the song in his mobile studio while on tour, and he even came up with the idea of “embedding” one of the show’s glyphs in the music. (Hint: Examine the song’s sound waves on a computer.) Now for the big question: Might Reznor pop up in an episode of Fringe? “If he wants to come act on the show, that’s not tit for tat—that’s an open invitation, and we made that known to him,” says Pinkner. Any ideas on what he may play? “Well, his head would probably end up exploding,” deadpans Pinkner. “There’d be some uncomfortable biology in there one way or another.”

Looooove this!! Fringe is deffo one of the coolest shows on TV right now and I love that TR wanted to lend his voice and music to help promote the series. I would DIE if Trent decided to make a cameo on the show … even if they made his head explode, I think it’d be really effing cool. Last month US Weekly reported that the romance betwixt Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake was “over” after a few weeks of separation from one another. Since that report came out, Justica weren’t really spotted in one another’s company so may folks (me included) tended to believe the break-up report. Today, we get get to see new photos of Jessica and Justin TOGETHER in Vancouver, British Columbia where she is working on her new film version of the 80′s tv series The A-Team:

Arm-in-arm, that’s a good sign. Who knows what the state of their relationship is at this point … mebbe the couple were going thru some hard times, mebbe they were apart merely circumstantially, mebbe they are trying to get back together … who knows? It does seem now that the couple are on friendly terms (at least) and they seem happy again. Here’s hoping all’s well that ends well for Justica. What the world needs now is love, sweet love.

David Beckham, who is here at home in LA taking care of the children while his wife Victoria Beckham is off gallivanting on the other side of the globe, was spotted paying a visit to the Underwood Family Farm here in SoCal picking up a big ass pumpkin for Hallowe’en carving … behold:

It would appear that Becks went to the pumpkin patch during the day while the kiddies were safely ensconced at school, perhaps as a surprise? Because Hallowe’en is getting closer every day, it’s no surprise that Becks would want to venture out to make this year’s Beckham family pumpkin selection … tho, considering that David and I went pumpkin picking for our Date Night this past Monday it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility that he took his cue to go pumpkin picking from us ;)
