Earlier today we heard from Britney Spear‘s new music video director on the state of her new vid for 3 and yesterday we saw the first photos of Britney with her agent/beau Jason Trawick on vacay down in Mexico with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Right now we get to see a few more ADORABLE photos of Britwick with Britney‘s boys enjoying some pool party fun together at their resort hotel:

Britney‘s boys are so dang cute … and they always look so happy with they are with their mommy. As I’ve said many times before, I really like seeing Britney and Jason together … whether they are keeping things professional or if there is some secret lovin’ going on, I think they make a great pair. I love these pics … don’t you?

Lindsay Lohan, who was hauled in front of a judge here in SoCal last Friday and ended up getting another year of court-monitored probation for her trouble, has made her way back to NYC to keep the party going. She was spotted last night on the streets of NYC making her way to the Rose Bar inside the Gramercy Hotel wearing a very interesting outfit:

LMAOOOOOOOOO!! I mean … WTF? is going on here? I get that L. Lo wants to be a fashionista … and I get that taking fashion risks is what being a Hollywood “It” Girl is all about but … is she seriously kidding us with this idiotic bow strapped to her forehead? I mean … really??? It is such a fug look … I just want to run up to her, pull it as far away from her head and then it go so it can snap back into her face. Is that wrong?

Madonna‘s daughters, Lourdes Maria and Chifundo Mercy, were spotted making their exit from their home in London, England earlier today and each girl was bundled up to brave the cold weather … stylishly, of course:

I believe this is the first time little Mercy has been exposed the colder UK temps but she sure does look cute in her little down coat. Lourdes looks like she’s been raiding her mother’s closets for as many things that don’t go together as possible … and, natch, she looks fab. Lola is a straightup Madonna clone. Back in the 80′s, Madonna clones were called wannabes … but I think it’s OK to be a wannabe if you’re Madonna‘s own child :)

Ricky Martin, proud papa of twin sons named Matteo and Valentino, posted a new photo to his official Twitter profile today … the tweet reads simply “Chilling” and is accompanied by this photo:

It’s unknown which of Ricky‘s sons he is holding but I wouldn’t be surprised if many of you weren’t even aware that there is a baby in the photo ;) It’s great to see Ricky lookin’ so happy … it’s even better to see him lookin’ so undressed.

Diane Martel, the director of Britney Spears‘s new music video 3, gave a quick interview to Life & Style magazine and gossed to the mag about how the whole project came about and revealed some of Britney‘s involvement in production. While a release date for the vid has yet to be announced, these new comments about the music video should fuel the fire of anticipation:

The director of the video for Britney Spears’ single “3” tells Life & Style exclusively how the steamy sequence came together. “I think it’s her next sexy video,” says director Diane Martel. “It’s a very simple video for her — I don’t think you’ve seen her this much under a magnifying glass. Everything’s really strong and playful.” Britney helped with the look of the video, too. “We collaborated on the wardrobe and had meetings about hair and makeup people,” reveals Martel. “We talked a lot on the phone and met Tone and Rich — two of the best choreographers.” Martel says Britney was great to work with. “She’s so sweet and funny and so normal and down to earth. It’s really fun as a director to see her in front of the camera. She’s so creative with this stuff. The video is very simple, it’s very, very minimal. So it’s her, her, her. And she’s totally engaging every second. She really knows how to work with a camera and move. “I was really impressed, and I have worked almost with every female artist in the business,” Martel adds. Britney herself is excited about the results, posting on Twitter, “It’s gonna be hot!”

I am *very* excited that Tony and Rich are choreographing this video … it’s gonna be hot! It’s been far too long since Britney released a music video with a killer dance routine … I hope she really hits it out of the park with this vid. 3 just keeps growing on me … it’s one of those songs you can listen to on repeat. I can’t wait to see what the video looks like.

Last night was Date Night for David and me which came a little early this week because David’s sisters are coming to town on Thursday (or normal Date Night night) and last night was our only free night this week. As you may recall, I was in charge of Date Night last time and we enjoyed a fun night of rollerskating … David was in charge last night and he decided that we would go pumpkin picking!

He took us to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch and we has a lot of fun picking out the perfect pumpkins to carve. Since we’re still a couple weeks away from Halloween, we didn’t carve the pumpkins just yet but it was fun making our selections. After the patch, we went to Sweet Chili for a delish Thai dinner. It was a very fun, very cute night.

Tonight David and I will be attending a meeting of The Turtle Party: Book Club so that we can discuss Kurt Vonnegut‘s Breakfast of Champions. Our next book will be selected tonight as well so be on the look out for that announcement.

Blech. It looks like the maritally infidelitous couple made up of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian is still going strong. As you may recall, the couple first made their affair public when they were spotted enjoying a scandalous day of golf together while tongues were wagging about the dissolution of their respective marriages. Soon after, LeAnn announced on her official website that she and hubby Deane Sheremet were divorcing and seconds later was spotted in Mexico on a romantic getaway with her lover Eddie Cibrian. Clearly the couple are now very comfortable flaunting their lurve in public cuz LeEddie was spotted on a very public date in West Hollywood, CA last night … the hand-holding harlots:

Great news for fans of the rock musical Rock of Ages which has proven to be huge hit on Broadway … Variety is reporting that the show is being made into a movie scheduled for release in 2011 and get this — it’ll be helmed (directed and choreographed) by famed choreographer Adam Shankman!

“Hairspray” helmer Adam Shankman is signing on to direct and choreograph the screen version of the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages” for New Line Cinema. The film will begin production by next summer and be released by Warner Bros. in 2011. The musical’s creator, Chris D’Arienzo, scripted the movie adaptation. Carl Levin, Matt Weaver, Scott Prisand, Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Gibgot will produce. Janet Billig and Hillary Weaver are executive producers. “I had the best time of my life making ‘Hairspray’ and badly wanted another musical, and when I watched ‘Rock of Ages,’ I was struck by the fact that not only had much of the audience seen it more than once, every guy in the audience knew the words to the songs,” Shankman told Daily Variety. “What an extraordinary opportunity to open the genre to an audience that otherwise wouldn’t go see a musical.” The tuner tells of two people who meet at the Sunset Strip club Rock of Ages, fall in love and try to stay together amid’80s rock anthems made popular by Journey, Twisted Sister, Joan Jett, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar and other groups. New Line is clearing music rights to the tunes. Since its move to Broadway, “Rock of Ages” fills most of its 1,000 seats at Brooks Atkinson Theater, helped by five Tony nominations. The show will begin a worldwide rollout over the next several years. Shankman said he hopes to shoot the picture in its proper setting, which means lensing in Los Angeles. Shankman said, “I’m thinking big, and absolutely am going to attempt to cast with movie stars. Now that musicals are working again, actors are much more open to it.”

Yay!! This is very exciting news! Rock of Ages is my new fave musical and I can’t wait to see it make the transition to the big screen. While I wish the Broadway actors currently cast in the show would be allowed to reprise their roles in the film (particularly Kerry Butler and Tom Lenk), I’m pretty certain that bigger name actors will be sought out instead (much like when Hairspray the Musical made the transition from the stage to the screen). Nonetheless, I have no doubt that Adam Shankman will make a fantastic film out of this amazing show … I can’t wait!!
