Uma Thurman Talks ‘Kill Bill, Vol. 3’ . . . Kinda

"[Tarantino] has started to share with me what he was thinking, and it's awesome"
Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Actress Uma Thurman sat down for a little interview with MTV to talk about her new film Motherhood and managed to talk a wee bit about the news that Quentin Tarantino is planning to make Kill Bill, Vol. 3. As y’all should be well aware, Thurman played the Kill Bill star Beatrix Kiddo/The Bride in the first two films and will presumably reprise her role in this new film. Even tho she really couldn’t say much, she did at least go on the record about plans for a third Kill Bill film:

In 2005, Quentin Tarantino told MTV News that we’d have to wait a full decade until he revisited “Kill Bill” territory and brought Uma Thurman’s Bride back for a third film in the series. “Uma’s got to get 10 years older, the little girl has to grow up and everything,” he explained. And whaddya know, before this decade has closed out, the director has started to hint that we might actually see another “Bill” within that time frame. “The Bride will fight again!” he told an Italian TV station. We just spoke with Thurman, who is in town promoting her upcoming comedy, “Motherhood,” and we asked the actress if she’d spoken with Tarantino about the new movie. “We did chat, we did chat,” she told us. “He has not yet finished the script. I don’t even really know if he’s really started it, although I got a taste of some of his ideas and they are really good.” That statement’s certainly a head-scratcher. Did she mean to say QT told her he’s started writing, but she kinda doesn’t believe him? That he’s been brainstorming ideas but that by “not yet finished” she meant “hasn’t even started”? We’ll have to wait for confirmation on that one, because Thurman maintained tight-lip status about any more “Bill” details. “I can’t tell you!” she cried. “I’m sorry!” Since Thurman and Tarantino essentially created the character of the Bride together, Uma would presumably have a say in which direction their fictional creation heads. When the last film ended, she and her daughter were reunited and headed off for happy-ever-after land. But you just knew that was only going to last for so long. In her chat with Tarantino, did she contribute any of her own ideas? “He has started to share with me what he was thinking, and it’s awesome,” was all she’d say, understandably. So whatever shape the script is in (or if it actually exists yet) and whenever production might one day ramp up, one thing we do know is that Uma is down for “Kill Bill 3.” “Yeah, I think it’d be fun!” she said.

Argh … it’s gonna be a loooooong ass time before we learn anything concrete about the next Kill Bill movie. Uma herself doesn’t even know if Tarantino has written the film yet so … well, we wait. After the jump, check out video of MTV’s interview with Uma to hear her not really say much about anything in her own words …

Daphne Zuniga Signs On To Reprise Her Role On ‘Melrose Place’

Jo Reynolds returns!
Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Melrose Place has managed to secure another original castmember to reprise their role and return to the show. Recently, Heather Locklear made big news when it was announced that she would be returning to MP as Amanda Woodward (yesterday we saw new photos of Locklear on set) and today we learn that Daphne Zuniga will be returning to MP as photographer Jo Reynolds. Here is our first look at Zuniga as Reynolds in her first ep of the new series:

DAPHNE ZUNIGA RETURNS AS JO REYNOLDS AND JENNA DEWAN (“STEP UP”) GUEST STARS — Ella (Katie Cassidy) and Riley (Jessica Lucas) arrive at the Anton V photo shoot and meet the photographer ─ former Melrose Place resident, Jo Reynolds (Daphne Zuniga). Jo feels that Riley’s inexperience is preventing Jo from getting her shot, so Jo pushes Riley’s buttons and insists on a topless shoot to help Riley get in touch with her emotions. Meanwhile, Jonah (Michael Rady) meets with a producer’s development exec, Kendra (guest star Jenna Dewan, “Step Up”), who invites him to have drinks later that night to discuss his film. Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) makes another play for Auggie’s (Colin Egglesfield) attention, and Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen) finds out about David’s (Shaun Sipos) secret. Patrick Norris directed the episode written by Jonathan Caren (#106).

Yay!! Bring on more Melrose Place alums, please!! I love seeing the old crew back in the scene with the new kids in our beloved apartment complex. I seriously cannot get enough of this show … it’s so trashy, so fun. After the jump, check out a few more promo photos of Daphne’s return to Melrose Place

Lindsay Lohan Ordered To Appear In Court

Her DUI rears its ugly head
Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Lindsay Lohan, who has been spending some time shopping around NYC this week, has been ordered by the judge overseeing her drunk driving case from a couple of years ago to appear before the bench in open court tomorrow so that her progress in her ordered alcohol education program can be assessed. Here is a photo of Lindsay shopping at Dior in NYC this week … but will she deign to return to SoCal to make her court date tomorrow?

TMZ has learned the judge in Lindsay Lohan’s DUI case is so concerned about the famous defendant, she’s ordered her to appear personally tomorrow for her progress report. Sources tell TMZ the judge has received information from the people who run the alcohol education program that triggered concern. Typically in a misdemeanor case like this the defendant would not have to appear. Not so with Lindsay. We’ll be there tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Might someone have tipped off the judge of Lindsay’s partying ways? That’s what it sounds like … I guess we’ll have to wait and see if she will show up in court to answer the judge’s questions or not. My money says she will skip it/postpone her court appearance. What do y’all think?

Rihanna Announces A Release Date For Her New Album

The Wait Is Ova.
Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Rihanna, who is new to Twitter, has announced to the world the release date for her new album. Ri Ri’s first tweet was a single sentence with a date … it reads thusly:

The Wait Is Ova. Nov 23 09

There is much speculation that the album title is The Wait Is Ova but it’s entirely possible that Rihanna’s tweet message is just a release date announcement and not an album title announcement. In any event, we’ll all have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving because new Rihanna music is on the way. Expect an announcement of a new single very soon … the album hits stores in just over a month. Who’s excited???

First up, the press release:

MARGE SIMPSON POSES FOR PLAYBOY’S NOVEMBER ISSUE

The Blue-Beehived Belle Shows Her Seductive Side in a Stunning Five-Page Pictorial and Shares Her Pearls of Wisdom in a Rare Interview

“I’m just happy to be a MILK – Mom I’d Like to Know,” says Marge Simpson in an in-depth interview in Playboy’s latest issue, which accompanies a dazzling Centerfold and five-page pictorial. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the FOX hit television series, “The Simpsons,” Springfield’s sexiest blue-haired beauty decided to pose for the magazine, and appears on the cover and inside its November issue (on newsstands and online at www.playboydigital.com Friday, October 16). “Marge Simpson is the quintessential girl next door who stole our hearts 20 years ago and has held them captive ever since,” says Hugh Hefner. “We were delighted to learn she wanted to grace the pages of our magazine. Her pictorial is truly stunning.” Playboy’s November cover girl is excited about her sizzling modeling debut. “Only in a great country like America do we have the freedom of the press to publish naughty images of previously proper women,” she says. Husband Homer is equally excited and supportive of his wife’s decision to pose. “I can’t believe my wife is sharing her feminine beauty with the world in this tasteful pictorial,” he says. However, being nurturing, protective parents, both Marge and Homer agree, “If my son tries to look at it, I’ll kill him!”

LMAOO!! I really love this Marge doing Playboy thing … it’s really fun and I’m sure her pictorial is going to be cute. After the jump, check out one of Marge’s Playboy pics that will be featured in the mag and read some excerpts from her coverstory interview …

No Reservations

The TV Guide
Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Yesterday I managed to get a lot of very important errands taken care of … I got a haircut, found a great gift and picked out a great outfit for a special event this weekend. Yesterday was really my only day to get all of that taken care of and thankfully, I managed to get it all taken care of. After my errand run was completed, David and I met with our friend Joe Zee for dinner at East on Hollywood, Blvd:

Some of you may recognize Joe as one of the new folks on The City this season. He is the creative director for Elle magazine and is one of our good friends. He’s in town for meetings so we met up for dinner last night. I SO love Joe on The City … he and Erin Kaplan (Elle publicist also new to the show) make that snoozefest worth watching. I love how Joe is like the Charlie of Charlie’s Angels at Elle mag … he’s awesome. I’m hoping we can hang out again before he has to go back to NYC next week.

Tonight, David and I are meeting up with Darion and some peeps to see Pam Ann perform (an Aussie comedienne based in the UK) … I’ve heard amazing things about her so I’m excited.

Wee!!
