Plus, brings us the FIRST LOOK at 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'!!!
‘People’ Magazine To Release A Special ‘New Moon’ Issue Of Their Mag

Good news for all the rabid Twilighters out there … People magazine has announced that it will be publishing a special edition issue of their magazine devoted ENTIRELY to the upcoming new sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon which hits theaters next month. The issue, which hits newesstands on Friday, promises that this issue is one collector’s item that any self-respecting Twilight fan can’t live without. Here is what the cover of this special issue looks like:

In PEOPLE’s special New Moon issue, which hits newsstands Friday, Robert Pattinson shares his baby photos, Taylor Lautner growls for fans and Kristen Stewart gets intense. “Twilight is about first love; New Moon is about heartbreak,” says the film’s director Chris Weitz. “That requires the actors to go to some very dark places.” But who was the most intense on set? “Kristen may be the most serious actor I’ve ever encountered,” Weitz reveals. “She took the job of portraying Bella’s depression very seriously.” In the sequel, Bella (Stewart) turns to best bud Jacob (Lautner) after her vampire love Edward (Pattinson) flees Forks, Wash., in the hopes of giving her a normal life. But as Bella grapples with her not-so-platonic feelings for Jacob, he transforms into a werewolf. “This is a severely emotional movie,” Stewart says. But it’s not all about the drama. “It’s a pretty hot movie,” says Ashley Greene, who thinks Stewart and Lautner “have this undeniable chemistry.” “I get nervous trying to represent Team Jacob in the right way,” Lautner admits. “This guy [Pattinson] is some pretty good competition.” “Fans ask me to growl for them, and I really don’t enjoy doing that,” the 17-year-old star says. “Please just wait for the movie.” The supernatural romance unfolds on the big screen Nov. 20.

Baby photos? In depth interviews? Never-before-seen movie photos? Oh yeah … I’m sure this issue will sell very well among Twilight fans. BUT … the Twilighty goodness doesn’t end there … this special issue of People magazine will also feature our FIRST LOOK at a scene from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!!!! Say what??? After the jump, check out the new promo photo that gives us our first look at the third Twilight film (currently in production) Eclipse

The changing of the guard underwear
Megan Fox Will Replace Victoria Beckham As The New Armani Underwear Model

Last week we learned the news that footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been chosen as the new male spokesmodel for Armani Underwear, taking over the modeling reigns from fellow footballer David Beckham. Today we learn that Megan Fox has been tapped as the new female spokesmodel for the designer undiestaking over for Victoria Beckham:

American actress Megan Fox will strip down to her underwear for Giorgio Armani’s Emporio Armani fashion brand, the Italian design house said on Wednesday. Fox, who starred in the “Transformers” films, follows in the footsteps of “Posh Spice” Victoria Beckham who along with her soccer-playing husband David heads the Emporio Armani autumn/winter underwear campaign. The actress will also be the new official worldwide face for Armani Jeans for next year. Armani said in a statement the soon-to-be unveiled adverts were shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott at the weekend in Lost Angeles. The duo also took the Beckhams’ underwear ad pictures. Last week, the Milan-based fashion house said Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo would replace David Beckham as the new sports model for Emporio Armani’s men’s underwear.

Shortly after it was announced that Ronaldo would be taking over for Becks, Vicki B. announced that she would not be renewing her Armanimodeling contract either … so it was just a matter of time before the announcement was made as to who would be replacing her. Considering how Megan Fox has saturated the media with her presence in the past couple of years, Armani‘s decision to choose her as their new spokesmodel makes sense. It remains to be seen if Megan and Cristiano will appear in ads together like Becks and Posh did during their reign but, if Armani is smart, they will feature their new models together as well as individually. I still think that Armani should’ve done everything in their power to keep Becks on board but … I guess now that it’s a done deal, I’m curious to see what the new ads will look like. What do y’all think … do you want to see Megan Fox modeling Armani women’s underwear on billboards all around the world?

The King of Pop is surely spinning in his grave
Michael Jackson’s Children Will Reportedly Appear In The Jackson Family Reality Series

US Weekly magazine is reporting today that sources close to the new A&E reality TV series The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty reveal that the series WILL feature the late Michael Jackson‘s childrenPrince Michael, Paris Michael and Prince Michael, II aka Blanket — on the TV show. It seems quite clear that this decision to put the children on television is in direct opposition to the wishes of MJ himself … it was widely known that he was fiercely protective of his children and would NEVER have wanted them exploited on TV. But, according to this new report, the kids will be featured on the Jackson family reality series nonetheless:

The Jacksons are at odds over the inclusion of Michael Jackson’s three children in an upcoming A&E reality show about the famous family, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue (on newsstands now). A source tells Us Weekly the buzzed-about program will include Michael’s kids — Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7 — though not everyone’s happy about it. Eldest sister Rebbie, 59, who has refused to be in the series (called The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, tentatively set to air in December), “feels Michael would spin in his grave if he knew his kids would be on this show.” While Janet, 43, is on board, mom Katherine “is just going along with things,” the source continues. Still, one of the creators of the program — which will be either five one-hour episodes or 10 half-hour episodes — says the family shines on the series. “We have 23 cast members with the last name Jackson,” executive producer Jodi Gomes tells Us Weekly. “They’ve done a great job opening up about losing a brother.” (A Jackson family rep couldn’t be reached.)

The only part of this story that makes me believe it is not true is the bit about Janet Jackson being “on board” with featuring the children on the TV show. I refuse to believe that she would agree with the decision to exploit the children in this way. But, truth be told, I can absolutely believe that the rest of the family (Rebbie Jackson excluded) are more than happy to exploit the children in this way … if those kids are on the show, the ratings will be much higher — guaranteed. I, personally, am seriously disgusted by more decisions made by the Jackson family … but this takes the cake. If this report turns out to be true and they do decide to use these children to promote their reality TV series then I suggest they change the titled of the show from The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty to The Jacksons: A Nasty Family. They get a HUGE poop sandwich from me!! :(

UPDATE: TMZ is reporting that Katherine Jackson, the guardian of MJ‘s children, insists that the kids will NOT be featured in The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty:

Katherine tells TMZ Michael would never want his kids to appear on TV, much less on a reality show. She says her son went to great lengths to protect the kids from TV cameras, often shielding them with masks. There are reports A&E’s Jackson reality show will include MJ’s 3 kids. Katherine, who is the legal guardian of the kids and ultimately makes the decision, tells us it will NOT happen.

I really hope this is true … I would never put anything past the Jacksons. I’ll believe it when I DON’T see them on the show.

Commissions a new batch of film for production in 2010
Polaroid To Relaunch Their One Step Instant Camera

Woooot!!! Great, great news to pass along today … almost one year after Polaroid decided to halt production of their beloved instant film and a couple of years after they completely halted production of ALL of their instant cameras, the company has decided to heed the call of Polaroid fans to revive the brand. At an event yesterday in Hong Kong, Polaroid announced that they will be relaunching production of their classic Polaroid One Step instant camera and has commissioned The Impossible Project (which came into being after the instant film was no long being produced and whose aim is to “re-start production of analog instant film for vintage Polaroid cameras”) to produce a NEW batch of instant film for the new cameras. Again, I say Woot!!! Here is the full text of the press release that was released yesterday:

We can not wait another day to proudly bring you some very important news which was presented by Polaroid itself at a press conference on October 13th in Hongkong. After all the difficulties and changes of ownership during the last years, the new management of Polaroid now understands the source of the brand’s attraction – which is surprisingly not based in digital cameras but in Dr. Edwin Land’s groundbreaking 1948 invention of Instant Photography, which he ingeniously devised and passionately developed with a lot of care and devotion. Since 2005, it has been our honour and pleasure to celebrate and evoke the sensational and almost mysterious power of Instant Photography in memoriam of Dr. Land. Doing everything in our power to keep this beloved and unique photographic medium alive, we grabbed the chance to take over the last factory producing Instant films from the old Polaroid management and to start The Impossible Project in 2008. Re-inventing a new analog integral film, we are now preparing, supporting and managing the comeback of Instant Photography. Accomplishing this mission and proudly owning the former Polaroid plant in Enschede (NL), as well as already holding the first working hand-coated samples in our trembling hands, we are pleased to herewith announce a history-making cooperation between The Impossible Project and Polaroid: Polaroid will re-launch the legendary Polaroid One Step Camera and is therefore commissioning The Impossible Project to develop and produce a limited edition of Polaroid® branded Instant Films in the middle of 2010. We feel proud and excited that our ambitions and all the relentless work we have already invested are now becoming the foundation for Polaroid’s comeback as a producer of Instant Cameras. Large-scale production and worldwide sale of The Impossible Project’s new integral film materials under its own brand will already start in the beginning of 2010 – with a brand new and astonishing black and white Instant Film and the first colour films to follow in the course of the year.

This is such great news!!! There are countless Polaroid fans out there and I know they are rejoicing with me today. Now, it’s unclear how long Polaroid plans to produce these new cameras and it is also unclear how many will be made … but the fact that any of them are being produced at all is really happy news. I’m very excited that the instant film will deffo be produced in the coming year … which means I will be able to use the cameras I already have for years to come!! If you have never had the chance to own a Polaroid instant camera, I urge you to get your hands on one as soon as they are made available. This is great news for photography fans the world over … I am just so thrilled :)
