Adam Lambert Gets Smoochy With Boyfriend Drake LaBry

Last June, after he came in second during this year’s American Idol competition, Adam Lambert bravely held his boyfriend Drake LaBry‘s hand in public. This week … Adam takes his bold manner one step further. Adam and Drake were spotted running a shopping errand in the LA rain last night and were asked by the paparazzi if everything was okay in their relationship …

The American Idol star thought it would be better to show rather than tell the paps that everything is good between him and Drake. After the jump, check out how Adam showed the photogs exactly how he feels about Drake

Parties on her last night of the 'For You, For Me' Tour
Kylie Minogue Takes A Bite Out Of The Big Apple

Kylie Minogue performed the final concert of her first ever North American Tour titled For You, For Me at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, NY last night. After she took her final bows and said her last goodbyes (hopefully, not for long) she and her crew made their way out into NYC to celebrate the completion of a very successful tour. Here are a couple photos of Kylie out on the town in NYC last night:

All the models are wearing it, as are the celebs. And now Kylie Minogue has joined the fashionable ranks of the leather brigade. The pop princess slipped into a form-fitting black leather dress as she ventured out in New York last night. The below-the-knee length of the ensemble, complete with its high neckline, ensured the singer, 41, carried off a truly sexy, but non-trashy, look. She adds to a growing list of star who are opting for leather, which has featured prominently in the autumn catwalk shows. Kate Moss attended Paris Fashion Week in tight-fit leather dress last week, while Victoria Beckham was this week spotted rocking a pair leather trousers with studs. Those who dare to wear it have to be brave, however, as the unforgiving material has a knack of showing up every lump and bump. Pint-sized Kylie, however, naturally carried it off, teaming her outfit with a pair of criss-cross black heels. The Australian singer last night complete her nine-date For You For Me tour in the Big Apple. It marked her first tour of North America and also saw her perform in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Oakland and Toronto. Kylie’s tour was well received by critics, who praised the singer for managing to perform energetic dances while singing live. Variety writer Andrew Barker said: ‘Her voice tends toward tinniness and lacks depth, yet she’s obviously proficient and can hit some very big notes when required – and unlike many of her backing-track-assisted contemporaries, Minogue’s vocals seemed to be entirely live.’ Billboard critic Keith Caulfield added: ‘Let’s be clear – this wasn’t a lip-syncing showcase. Minogue sang live and was in fine voice throughout her set. ‘She has repurposed some of the best moments from her previous globe-trotting outings for her first U.S. tour – thus giving American concertgoers a taste of what they’ve missed all these years.’ Kylie’s costumes on her new tour come from the catwalk collections of Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce And Gabbana.

Alas … and now the tour is over … and Kylie is going back to Europe where she is (rightfully) beloved and appreciated for being the amazing artist that she is. I truly hope she comes back soon … hopefully with her next tour ;) After the jump, check out a video that Kylie and her people made as they arrived in NYC for the first of 3 shows which took place on Sunday night …

Can you guess?
Who’s Kissing Who?

Can you guess which celeb couple, who tend to stay out of the limelight and are not usually seen out and about together very much, were spotted sharing a passionate smooch inside their car this week?

Here are a couple of clues … the couple, who have been dating for some time now, are engaged to be wed and are both actors. While we heard whispers of an engagement earlier this year, we didn’t actually see any proof until a big, fat engagement ring popped up over the Summer. Any guesses? After the jump, find out who it is …

The TV Guide
Water Works

David and I made it home from NYC late last night … we ended up getting in at 1AM … which was not fun but at least we made it safe and sound. We were very surprised to see that water was falling from the sky upon our arrival:

I suspect LA missed us so that it cried tears of joy once we returned home. I believe it will be cloudy/rainy today but will warming up considerably this weekend. I heard the temps. will be back in the 90′s … which is AWESOME news for me :)

David and I have so much stuff going on this week … I have very important errands to attend do today, then we have a show tomorrow night, I’m gonna try and see KMFDM in concert on Friday night and then we have a very big, special wedding to attend on Saturday. Altho I’m happy to be home, it’s still gonna be a few days until I can rest and do nothing. OY!!

Preview Tori Amos’s New Holiday Album ‘Midwinter Graces’

Last month we learned that the musical goddess Tori Amos would be releasing a holiday album titled Midwinter Graces this Xmas season and not only got to see the official album cover artwork but we also got to see the album tracklisting. Today we get to check out a new promo image from the album and can preview clips of each of the songs on the disc:

Okay … I love me some Tori but the promo photos for this album are sooooo over-the-top (including the album artwork). I understand that this red dress was created by designer Bernard Chandran … even still, I am really looking forward to hearing this album in full. Undented is reporting that the disc will be released in a standard version and a deluxe version which will include two extra songs, Comfort And Joy and Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht! (Silent Night! Holy Night!), as well as a bonus DVD. Thus far there is no word on what the DVD will contain but, knowing Tori, it’s bound to be amazing. After the jump, hear a short preview of the album and check out two more promo photos from Midwinter Graces — these next two photos are much less dramatic and are deffo worth checking out …

'Wild' 'N Out
‘Where The Wild Things Are’ Premieres In NYC

Last night writer Maurice Sendak was on hand for the NYC premiere of the big screen adaption, helmed by visionary director Spike Jonze, of his beloved classic children’s book Where the Wild Things Are. Fans of the book, me included, have been waiting anxiously to see this story come to life in theaters … and we are only days away from the film’s release. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals at last night’s premiere event for Wild Things:

He created a vast wilderness inhabited by scary creatures in Where the Wild Things Are, but Maurice Sendak still seemed overwhelmed by the line of media and photographers that assembled in the urban jungle for the premiere of the big-screen adaptation of his classic book. “Oh, look at this. A real red carpet,” marveled the 81-year-old author as Wild Things director Spike Jonze led him by the hand into New York City’s Alice Tully Hall at the film’s premiere. Jonze did not re-emerge, but Lauren Ambrose and Forrest Whitaker remained outside to brave the October chill and talk about voicing the Wild Things that inhabit the imagination of the story’s central character. “I was so excited to be playing the one I feel I look like, with the long, red hair,” said the flame-tressed Ambrose as she checked out a movie poster featuring an image of her character, a free-spirited monster named KW. “It was very freeing … and I didn’t have to worry about what I looked like.” For Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O, composing the film’s soundtrack was a task that began when she discovered the book as a child. “I remember sitting down at the piano and trying to write a song for it when I was very young,” she said. “I even wrote a poem called Land of the Wild Things. It was longer than the book.” Producer Tom Hanks mused on the dark themes of the story, which have some wondering if kids are indeed the movie’s target audience. “Children are very complex beings. They’re not all fun and games and volleyballs and Nerf guns,” he explained. “They kind of experience bigger mood swings than adults do because they haven’t had any experience yet with loneliness or bitterness or confusion.” Still, 12-year-old Max Records, who makes his feature film debut as Max, insisted there were plenty of PG-13 antics on set. “We hoisted [Spike's] Vespa to the ceiling then covered him with yogurt and rice,” Records remembered. “That was fun.”

As I’ve mentioned many times before on the blog, I am REALLY excited to see this film. I had to stop watching movie trailers back in the Spring for fear of seeing too much of the movie too soon. Where the Wild Things Are is seriously one of my fave books ever (I used to sleep with my copy of the book when I was little) so I really hope the movie version doesn’t destroy my childhood. My hope is that the film will be able to capture the spirit of the book and build on the imaginative magic that Sendak created all those years ago. I deffo plan to see this movie when it opens this weekend. Wee :)

Our dear Britney scores her third #1 song
Britney Spears’s New Single ‘3’ Debuts At #1

Congratulations are in order for Britney Spears today … her new single 3 has debuted in the #1 position on the Billboard magazine Hot 100 Singles Chart giving her her third #1 song of her career. Even more impressive, 3 is the first song to debut at #1 in more than 3 years and is the first NON-American Idol song to debut at #1 in almost 11 years!!!

Britney Spears becomes the first artist in over three years to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, to be released tomorrow (Oct. 15), as “3″ opens at the pinnacle of the chart. Her new track, a racy paean to the joys of three-way sex from the upcoming hits set “The Singles Collection,” due Nov. 24, shifts 255,000 downloads in its first week of release, also propelling it to No. 1 on Digital Songs. The title also jumps 38-25 on the Pop Songs chart and debuts at No. 49 on Radio Songs/Hot 100 Airplay, which ranks songs based on airplay audience on all radio formats. “3″ is the first title to debut at No. 1 since Taylor Hicks’ “American Idol” victory song “Do I Make You Proud” did so on the chart dated July 1, 2006. In fact, the last four songs to open at No. 1 were all “American Idol”-related. Prior to Hicks, Carrie Underwood’s “Inside Your Heaven” (July 2, 2005), “I Believe” by Fantasia (July 10, 2004) and Clay Aiken’s “This Is The Night” each debuted at No. 1. The last non-”Idol” song to open at No. 1 was Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” on Nov. 14, 1998. “3″ is Spears’ third Hot 100 No. 1. Her debut single “…Baby One More Time” spent two weeks at No. 1 in 1999 and “Womanizer” spent a sole frame at the top, exactly one year ago this week, on the chart dated Oct. 25, 2008.

Woooot!!! What amazing news!!! While I’m still pretty stunned to realize that Britney has only ever previously enjoyed 2 #1 songs, the stunning success of 3 more than makes up for it. I knew that the song was doing well but I had no idea it was doing this well. Congratulations of the highest degree are deffo in order for our dear Britney today. In case you are one of the few folks who has yet to hear 3, you can give it a listen after the jump …
