My boo David Hauslaib (who edits the gay interest site Queerty) was invited to the CNN bureau here in NYC earlier today to be interviewed about President Barack Obama‘s commitment (or lack thereof) to GLBT issues here in the US and his appearance has been posted on CNN.com. Watch the video below to hear David (and Huffington Post writer Jose Antonio Vargas) discuss the matter with CNN correspondent Reggie Aqui:

While I don’t always agree with David on all matters, there is no denying that he is absolutely well-spoken and quite knowledgeable on these matters. GLBT issues are at the forefront of water-cooler discussions right now and it is my hope that all of this attention will work towards advancing equal rights for all citizens in this country. It cannot always happen overnight but a hearty and educated on-going discussion of the issues can go a long way to affecting change. I’m glad that CNN had the foresight to invite David to speak on this matter today because they’d be hard-pressed to find someone to better speak on these issues. He did a great job, didn’t he?

I couldn’t let the day pass without sending some Birthday Lurve to a favorite around here on Pink is the new Blog … Mr. Hugh Jackman. Considering all the wonderful entertainment Jackman brings us seemingly on a daily basis, the least we can do is send some lurve his way today on his birthday:

Earlier today we saw photos of Heidi Klum and Seal‘s children enjoying a day of fun at the pumpkin patch and now we get to see another celeb family gettin’ in on the pumpkin pickin’ fun as well. Buffyverse alum (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) David Boreanaz, his wife Jaime and son Jaden Rayne were spotted at the pumpkin patch over the weekend. As you may know, David and Jaime welcomed the birth of their daughter Bardot Vita at the end of August but she was clearly left at home for this outing. I’m sure the fam is planning to have an extra special first Hallowe’en for little Bardot … and it all starts with picking the perfect pumpkin :)

Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields are Dead Man’s Bones and they are hittin’ the road. After releasing their self-titled debut album last week, the band are now promoting their first-ever concert tour. The guys made a short video to inspire folks to come out and see their shows … here is a screencap:

Lawd … yesterday was a very bizzy day for me. As you prolly already know, David and I made our way down to Washington DC early yesterday morning to participate at the National Equality March and then came straight back to NYC so that we could attend Kylie Minogue‘s first NYC concert EVER at the Hammerstein Ballroom last night:

The show, once again, was freakin’ fantastic. David and I got to see Kylie in Oakland, CA and then again in Hollywood, CA and last night’s show was JUST AS FUN as the previous two. My friend Tony, who is also here in town to see the Kylie shows, managed to get right up front and took a whole bunch of amazing photos. Aww … poor dear … look at this forlorn little child on display in a storefront window in Cambridge, MA over the weekend. It looks as if her parents have tired of her ceaseless shenanigans and are now offering her up for sale to the highest bidder to come along. How much would YOU pay to take this little creature home with you?

Hahahaha … despite the sad look on Suri Holmes-Cruise‘s face in this photo, I can assure you she was having a grand ol’ time hamming it up for the passersby to passed her window show Saturday afternoon. Jared Leto and his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, were joined by a gaggle of compatriots on the 6th Street Bridge in Los Angeles, CA yesterday to film a music video for the first single (Kings + Queens) off their new album (This Is War). The band posted a message on their official website urging fans with bikes to come out and be a part of their music video. Here are a couple photos from the shoot yesterday and the message posted by the band on their site:

This Sunday night, October 11th and Monday night, October 12th we will be filming a one of a kind night time mass bicycle ride through the streets of Los Angeles as part of the short film for Thirty Seconds to Mars’ new single “KINGS + QUEENS”. We would love to invite you to join us for The Ride. Its a one of a kind adventure and we will be shutting down streets, tunnels, bridges, Santa Monica Pier and even Hollywood Blvd. We start at shooting at 6pm. YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN BIKE. It’s unclear if fans who were not part of last night’s shoot can still participate on the second day of shooting tonight but it might be worth sending an email to address listed above if you are interested. It sounds like a fun way to interact with your fave band (if, indeed, any of y’all are fans of 30 Seconds to Mars) or a great way to get up -close and mebbe personal with Jared Leto himself. I like that the band has made this opportunity open to fans, I’m very curious to see the final result.

On Saturday we saw a few photos of Britney Spears and her agent/rumored beau Jason Trawick enjoying a drive in Calabasas, CA together (he was at the wheel) and today we get to see more photos of the pair sneaking off for another cruise … but this time, Britney is in the driver’s seat. HMMM … I wonder where these lovebirds are always flitting off to together on these drives:

Whatever is really going on between Britwick it’s pretty evident that they have no problems enjoying intimate time together. While she was on tour, Jason was always with her and her sons on fun family outings … and the couple do seem to spend a lot of alonetime when they are not working (ie. not on tour). I’m utterly convinced that they are a couple couple … and I’m totally fine with them being so. They look great together and his stability is just what her frantic life needs. You go, Britwick! You keep the lurve goin’ strong!!
