More Action For Tom Cruise On The Set Of ‘Wichita’

Leapin' lizards!
Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Last week we saw a few photos of Tom Cruise doing some dangerous-looking stuntwork on the Boston, MA set of his new film Wichita and today we see more stunty photos that outdo the photos we saw before. Here are photos of Tom leaping from a platform onto a fast moving car as he films new scenes for the flick:

Okay … now, I think Tom is just showing off. It is cool, tho, that he is willing to do such dangerous work just to make his film look more believable. I must commend the man for taking these dangerous risks for the sake of his craft. I still think the guy is a bit of a nutter but he’s a committed actor … or mebbe he’s an actor that needs to be committed? In any event, these pics are cool.

Chris Pine Grabs A Cup Of Coffee

It's a Chris Fine sighting
Thursday, October 8th, 2009

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen Chris Pine aka Chris Fine walking around lookin’, well, fine and shizz so I thought it was high time we check in and see what he is up to. Here are a couple photos of Mr. Fine after he picked up a cup of coffee on his way to the gym in NYC yesterday afternoon:

While the outfit leaves much to be desired I guess it can be forgiven since he is on his way to the gym … not that it really detracts from his fineness. That is all … carry on.

Michael Jackson’s Children Are Karate Kids

Yep, Omer Bhatti is here, too!
Thursday, October 8th, 2009

It’s been a few months since the death of Michael Jackson but it looks as if his children — Prince Michael, Paris Michael, Prince Michael II (Blanket) and Omer Bhatti (who it is believed is also one of MJ’s children) — are dealing with their loss in a happy and healthy way. All of MJ’s kids (along with some of the other Jackson children) were spotted happily making their way to and from karate class here in SoCal yesterday afternoon (it must be the new trend among celeb kids, Deacon Witherspoon-Phillippe and Heidi Klum’s kids all study karate) … behold:

Less than four months after the death of their father, Michael Jackson’s three children are learning to smile again. Currently living with their grandmother Katherine Jackson and a host of cousins at the Jackson family compound in Encino, California, the three youngsters are experiencing a whole new life. While Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, seven, are still gradually coming to terms with the singer’s sudden death, their family have been making sure they are kept occupied. n contrast to their days with their father, where they wore masks and scarves to cover their faces, the kids are experiencing a lot more freedom. The three children were spotted on a family day out to a local karate class in Los Angeles yesterday, where they were joined by their young cousins, family friend Omer Bhatti and bodyguards. Following Michael’s death, reports claimed 25-year-old dancer Omer was the singer’s biological son. While Omer is yet to confirm if he is related to Jackson, he has certainly been treated like one of the family. Omer sat front row with the Jackson family at the singer’s memorial concert in July and has frequently been spotted with Jackson’s children. Picking up the children after their martial arts session was nanny Grace Rwaramba, 42, who has been reinstated in their lives following Jackson’s death … Meanwhile, a Los Angeles court said last week the children were ‘doing wonderfully with their grandmother guardian’. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said he was ‘very pleased’ with an report on the children’s progress as they adjust to life without their father. Since she was awarded custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket in August, Katherine has been paid a monthly allowance of £37,600 from her son’s estate.

These are great photos … it is SO nice to see MJ’s kids living a relatively normal life. I always felt so bad for the kids when we’d see them out and about wearing masks and other head coverings meant to hide their identities. I’m sure MJ took those precautions out of concern for his children but kids need to thrive and grow. They look so happy … it’s great that they are adjusting to their new lives in, what looks to be, a nice and normal fashion.

Zac Efron Does ‘Nylon Guys’ Magazine

"The face on the lunchbox and shit—you can’t share that with your friends.”
Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Zac Efron and his fabulous hair are featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Nylon Guys magazine. In his coverstory interview, Zac talks about his film Me and Orson Welles (which is due out in November), music, his past as a Disney star and other scintillating topics. Here is Zac’s Nylon Guys coverphoto and some excerpts from his interview:

Is Zac Efron the next king of the silver screen? It may be too soon to tell, but the actor—who turns 22 next Sunday—is certainly making good start. This month sees the release of the Richard Linklater-directed Me and Orson Welles, in which Efron plays an aspiring thespian who by a series of fortunate events is thrown into the iconic director’s infamous production of Julius Caesar, which was the first Shakespeare play ever staged on Broadway. NYLON Guys went sailing with Efron in Vancouver to talk about his transition from Disney pin-up to serious actor.

On Me and Orson Welles: “It’s the first time I’ve ever watched a movie [that I’m in] and in the end I’m like, ‘OK! I didn’t check my watch once!’”

On growing up musically inclined: “I was constantly singing. I would hear things on the radio and just be able to spit them out instantly, with perfect memorization and tone. It wasn’t like I took pride in it; there was no effort. My parents were like ‘Shut up. Please stop singing. It’s annoying.’”

On whether celebrity albums are necessary: “If anyone asked themselves that, then we wouldn’t have the crap we are listening to today. If your heart’s not in it, don’t do it. And don’t do it for money. That’s my philosophy.”

On Disney fame: “I try not to look at all of it. You can’t enjoy or celebrate it; it’s not a real thing. The face on the lunchbox and shit—you can’t share that with your friends.”

We know that Efron has been hard at work in Vancouver filming his next movie The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud but I’ve been hearing good buzz about his Orson Welles film due out next month. I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to see Zac Efron as a serious actor but … he sure does have pretty hair. After the jump, check out the photos from Zac’s Nylon Guys photospread …

Dina Lohan Plans To Sell Her Own Line Of Shoes

Prepare ye the way for "Shoe-Han"
Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Just last weekend we got our first look at the new Spring 2010 collection from Emmanuel Ungaro at Paris Fashion Week which was put together under the “creative direction” of Lindsay Lohanto disastrous results. Now it appears that Lindsay’s mother Dina Lohan is lookin’ to get in on the disastrous fun! Dina has announced that she will be launching her own line of shoes which she will call Shoe-Han:

Not one to be outdone by loopy daughter Lindsay’s nipple pasties for Emmanuel Ungaro, Dina Lohan says she’s a designer, too! Mama L. will unveil her new “celebrity” shoe line creatively dubbed “Shoe-Han” at Trump Plaza today. What’s more, the failed reality star has been named national spokesmodel, with radio and TV gigs, for lovemyshoes.com, the Web site where Dina will sell her soles. News of the fancy footwear deal comes two days after LiLo, in her Paris runway debut as Ungaro’s “artistic adviser,” got shredded by aghast fashion writers for sending models down the catwalk sporting sparkly, heart-shaped nipple pasties.

I don’t know about you but I can’t think of anything tackier than a line of shoes called Shoe-Han which come from a line created by Dina Lohan. Who in HELL would want to wear such atrocities on their feet? As ghastly as this idea sounds, I can’t help but admit that I kinda want to see what these damn things will look like. I think I already know the answer but … would any of y’all be interested in wearing shoes by Shoe-Han?

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Last night David and I trucked our cookies out to Glendale to have dinner and do some shopping at the outdoor Americana mall (which is basically The Grove of the Valley):

It was a pretty quiet night … no big deal. It was nice to spend time together walking around outside … even tho there was shopping involved, it was also full of bonding time ;)

Tonight we’re having a date night … something we’ve been talking about doing for some time now. We’re gonna try to do date night on a regular basis and tonight I’m planning the fun. Since David reads the blog, I shant divulge my plans yet … but I’m sure I’ll be posting updates on Twitter as the night progresses ;)
