Here are a few photos of some of the Disney Princes from the animated films Aladdin, Hercules, Sleeping Beauty (Prince Philip), The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric), Tarzan and Pocahontas (John Smith) wearing nothing but their undies:

‘The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus’ Premieres In The UK

Heath Ledger's last film premieres at last
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

In October 2008 we got our first look at photos from the film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus which was the film that the last Heath Ledger was filming when he passed away in early ‘08. After some delay and story re-shoots and tweaks, the film was finally completed and enjoyed its UK premiere in Empire Leicester Square in London, England last night. Here are a few photos from the premiere’s red carpet arrivals:

When the actor Heath Ledger died unexpectedly in New York last year, he was midway through shooting a film with the director, Terry Gilliam. The death left Gilliam heartbroken and without his lead. Yet he managed to finish the film, using Ledger’s friends – Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law – to complete the unshot scenes. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus opens here next week … Director Terry Gilliam and members of the cast are in the UK to celebrate the film’s long awaited launch. Heath Ledger, the film’s leading actor, died suddenly of an accidental overdose in January 2008 forcing Gilliam back to the drawing board in order to save the film he was half way through shooting. The fantasy drama tells the tale of Doctor Parnassus and his “Imaginarium” – a travelling show where members of the audience get to live through their imaginations. But, after doing a deal with the devil to trade his immortality for youth dark forces begin to creep up with Doctor Parnassus and his travelling show. Ledger stars as an interloper with a keen interest in Parnassus’s daughter, played by model Lily Cole. Luckily for Gilliam most of Ledger’s ‘real world’ scenes were finished before his death and three actors, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law, were keen to step in and help finish the film. The actors now appear as three different aspects of the character’s personality.

It’s crazy that so much time has passed since Heath’s death … it doesn’t seem like that long ago. It was odd seeing Ledger on screen as The Joker in Batman: The Dark Knight last summer just a few months after he passed away … I imagine those same strange feelings will come into play when Parnassus opens in theaters this Fall. This film is THE last of Heath Ledger’s work … it’s kinda weird that there will be some sense of loss again when people see this film in theaters. I must admit, I’m anxious to see Heath on the big screen again … it’s just a real shame it will be for the last time ever.

Penn Badgley Is ‘Gossip Girl’s New Ladies Man

Since when did Dan Humphrey get all the chicks?
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

Those of you who have been watching the new season of Gossip Girl surely must be aware of how much tail Dan Humphrey (played by Penn Badgley) is getting on the show … I mean … a lot. He’s already been there and done that with Serena (played by Blake Lively) and Vanessa (played by Jessica Szohr) and just this season he got bizzy with Georgina Sparks (played by Michelle Trachtenberg) and soon he’ll be gettin’ his freak on with Olivia Burke (played by Hilary Duff). I mean … WTF? Here are pics of Penn makin’ out with both Jessica and Hilary on the NYC set of GG this week:

HMMM. I guess now that Chace Crawford’s character has settled down with Joanna Garcia’s character and Ed Westwick’s character has settled down with Leigton Meester’s character … the field is wide open for Penn to get his mack on. I guess it’s gonna take me some time to get used to the idea of Dan Humphrey breakin’ hearts on GG but … that’s why they call it fiction, right?

Whitney Houston Invades France

La diva est arrivée!
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

Whitney Houston, who paid a visit to Germany over the weekend to perform and promote her new album I Look To You, has made her way to France to continue her promo tour. As you may already know, Paris Fashion Week is in full swing (just ask Prince) so I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Whit Whit at a few shows this week. Here are a couple photos of Whitney as she emerged radiantly from her hotel earlier today:

She looks fab … she’s workin’ hard to ensure her album does well around the world and I couldn’t be more pleased. I am not lying, David plays her album CONSTANTLY … he loves it! It’s a great disc and I’m happy to see that she is doing everything she can to promote it. I suspect Whit will remain in France for a bit and then she’ll prolly pop up elsewhere in Europe. She’s livin’ the life again!

David Beckham Drops The Kids Off At School

Before jetting off to London
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

David Beckham, who looks as if he’s been missing a few shaving sessions, was spotted speeding his way thru Los Angeles in his sports car full of his children — Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James and Cruz David — as he drove them to school yesterday morning:

I hope his kids enjoyed the alonetime with daddykins yesterday because Becks has already packed his bags and made his way to the UK, presumably for work-related events. After the jump, check out a bearded Becks as he made his latest arrival in London earlier today …

Big Willy Style

The TV Guide
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

No big news to pass along from yesterday … it was a very quiet day for David and me. I have a lot of reading to do so I really needed to stay in and get some of that finished. I really wanted to finish Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann which I started a couple of weeks ago and I finally managed to get it done. OMG, what a fabulous book. I loved every bit of it … those of you who mentioned in the comments that I would love that book were so right. I really need to watch the movie version now … so much fun!! I also needed to get some reading done on Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut. The Turtle Party: Book Club meets tonight and I am supposed to have half of the book read … well, I did get some reading done but not the required half … mainly because I started reading a new biography of William Shakespeare that I simply cannot put down:

Biographies on Shakespeare are all pretty much made up of conjecture primarily because there aren’t many records left by Shakespeare himself and he never left any writings about his personal life. This new book, Will in the World: How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare by Stephen Greenblatt is really a fantastic read. He manages to paint a portrait of what Shakespeare’s life *may* have been like based on anecdotal evidence left by his contemporaries. The writing is really superb and Shakespeare’s life is wholly fascinating.

In any event, that’s pretty much what I did yesterday … tonight, I meet up with the other Turtle Party folks. It’ll be good to see everyone.
