Taylor Momsen, who plays little Jenny Humphrey on the hit CW series Gossip Girl, was spotted filming new scenes for the show with a new male castmember:

Earlier today we got to see a couple of adorable photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt with thier twin babies Knox Léon & Vivienne Marcheline out on the town on an ice cream run and now we get to see pics of Brangelina with their eldest daughters Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel shopping for food on a recent grocery run in France:

I understand that these photos were taken before the pics of Knox and Vivienne were but they are really cute nonetheless. It’s, like, a crime that Brangelina has so many adorable children! Shiloh in that hat … I’m dying. Zahara in those boots … DYING! Soooo cute! Ugh … they must really have the most perfect life. Couldn’t you just, well, die?

Mariah Carey and her youngster of a husband Nick Cannon were among the folks who made their way to Alice Tully Hall in NYC, NY over the weekend for a special premiere screening of her new film Precious (which screened earlier this year at the Cannes International Film Festival) which was shown at The Film Society of Lincoln Center‘s 47th Annual New York Film Festival … here are a few photos of Mr. & Mrs. Cannon upon arrival at the premiere event and some deets about the night:

Mariah Carey arrived at Saturday night’s New York Film Festival screening of her movie Precious adorned with diamonds and a posse of security guards. But away from the glamorous hubbub, she’s just a regular girl at heart, say her costars. “If you’re around her enough, ‘Mariah’ goes away and she’s like everyone else,” says actress Gabourey Sidibe, who formed a close friendship with Carey on the set. “She’s just a normal girl who talks about normal things like fashion and things like that. She’s so nice.” In the film, opening nationally Nov. 6, Carey plays a plain-looking case-worker. For the role, the songstress, 40, bared her face in front of the camera free of makeup and donned dowdy outfits. “I basically told her, ‘I want to see the Mariah I see when I’m in your house and we’re kickin’ it, watching TV and eating popcorn,’ ” says director Lee Daniels, who also worked with Carey on the movie Tennessee. “Nothing at all [surprised me about Carey's performance]. I knew she had it in her. ” Based on the novel Push, the film tells the story of a pregnant, illiterate teen who tries to change her life by enrolling in an alternative school. Oprah Winfrey was so inspired by the film, she signed on as an executive producer after the shoot was completed. “She watched it and she went, ‘Whoa! This is something very, very special,’ ” Winfrey’s best friend, Gayle King, said at the screening. King, who’s now seen Precious four times, added, “The film is hard, sad and tragic. Oprah’s pulling out all the stops she can to make people go see it.”

Mimi + Oprah should = blockbuster hit! But I’m not totally sold just yet. I had to doubt Mariah Carey‘s acting prowess but if Glitter (or every single one of Madonna‘s films save for Evita) taught us anything it’s that popstars don’t always make the best actresses. There’s a belief in Hollywood that if beautiful women get ugly on screen, they’re headed for awards show acclaim. Now, I’m really not counting on Mariah winning any acting awards … but I do hope she does well in this film. It sounds like a great story … I’d love to see Mimi show the world that she can do more than sell hit records.

Last month we learned that Levi Johnston, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin‘s nemesis, agreed to pose nekkid for Playgirl but as of yet, there’s been no word on what he’s gonna show in his pictorial (either the frontsies or the backsies) or when we can expect to see those photos. In the meantime, today we get our first look at Levi‘s first commercial job for Wonderful Pistachios. Levi is among the new spokespeople for the company’s new Get Crackin’ campaign … here are a few screencaps:

The Paramount Farms campaign is also a first for Levi’s co-stars, pistachios. “Get Crackin,’” the first-ever TV campaign for pistachios, features eight celebrities demonstrating how they crack open a pistachio, each in their own humorous, unique way. The commercials also include Olympic swimmer and record-setting medalist Dara Torres; Brady Bunch alum Christopher Knight and America’s Next Top Model wife Adrianne Curry; Jackass prankster Wee-Man; The Sopranos gangster Vincent Pastore; Miss South Carolina beauty pageant contestant and YouTube sensation Lauren Caitlin Upton; the Denny quintuplets; and a real-life dominatrix. The campaign also supports a YouTube video contest challenging aspiring film makers to create a video showing how they “Get Crackin.’” The winner’s ad will air on national TV and also earn them $25K – a pretty wonderful deal.

Lord … well, at least I suppose the kid should be commended for making money while keeping his clothes on. Oh believe me, I want to see the nudie pics as much as the next person but it’s nice to see that he has other talents at making money that don’t require him to take off his clothes. Good for him! Last night a group of friends and I were lucky enough to attend Kylie Minogue‘s performance at the Hollywood Bowl here in Hollywood, CA as part of her first ever North American tour titled For You, For Me. Altho I was fortunate enough to attend her tour kickoff concert in Oakland, CA last week I was THRILLED to be able to see Kylie perform live in LA outside under the full moon and stars:

A new report/rumor is making the rounds today that the Spice Girls are planning to reunite again but may do so without Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice). As you may recall, 4 of the Spice Girls (Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown) reunited for an impromptu dinner in London last month and tongues started wagging that the girls were talking up plans to reunite again. VB was noticeably absent from the reunion dinner … methinks this new report stems from that incident … so take it with a huge grain of salt:

JUST when the SPICE GIRLS outfits were safely tucked away in the loft, it’s time to start digging them out again. MEL B, with the help of her fella STEPHEN BELAFONTE, are masterminding a full-scale comeback. I say full-scale but one member of the line-up is resisting the invitation. VICTORIA BECKHAM has made it clear to the girls she won’t have the time – or desire – to uproot her family again for more fun and games with her old pals. But Mel B, MEL C and GERI HALLIWELL are getting together next week regardless, with fellow bandmate EMMA BUNTON. Baby is a little reluctant to commit to going on the road but the others are sure they can talk her round. A source said: “This time next year at least four of the five girls will be back on stage doing the Spice material again. Both the Mels and Geri are the driving force behind making it happen. They have agreed to meet up again next week and thrash out their plans for the future of the Spice empire. Emma is being cautious but the minute she’s with the girls they’ll talk her round. When Geri left the first time, she was arguably the band’s biggest star. If they coped without her, they are confident they can make it work without Posh.” But the popularity stakes have changed since the Nineties. Posh was definitely the star attraction on the 2007 tour. I revealed a couple of weeks back that Mel and Stephen had discussed a one-off Spice Girls appearance at the World Cup in South Africa next summer. It sounds like the response has encouraged talks about another big comeback.

HMMM. Moving forward down one Spice Girl is totally doable … as you should recall, Geri left the group after their second album Spice World and the remaining Spices soldiered on with a full scale world tour and album without her. It’s totally possible that they can carry on without VB. To be honest, Vicki B. doesn’t really need the Spice Girls anymore … she is much more famous without them and being married to David Beckham means she’s got more money than she knows what to do with. I can totally see VB opting out of a full-scale reunion … would would it be a success without her? Would any of y’all be excited to see the Spices together again sans Posh?

Over the weekend Whitney Houston paid a visit to Europe’s most successful television show Wetten, dass..? to perform a track of her newly released #1 album I Look To You. Lookin’ a fab as ever, Whitney rocked a lovely white pantssuit and, as you might expect, belted her heart out for the Wetten, dass..? audience … behold:

Now … when it came to the interview portion of the show, well, it seemed that Whitney was having a bit of difficulty with the German-speaking hosts questions in English. Granted, I’m sure it’s very difficult for anyone to answer questions under these circumstances but Whitney seemed a bit … out of it. Nonetheless, Whitney had a lot of supporters (family and fans alike) in the audience … she really did look great. It’s pretty amazing how little Harlow just keeps getting cuter and cuter by the second. I understand daddy Joel Madden was working in Las Vegas, NV over the weekend so Nicole got to spend some alonetime with the kiddies. While I’m sure the little duckies were a cute sight to see, I think I’d much rather see a Sparrow when next Nicole (or Joel, for that matter) takes Harlow out for a playdate. As you can see, newborn baby boy Sparrow James didn’t come along on this park excursion … so we’re still waiting for Nic/Joel to give us our first look at their baby boy. I’m sure we’ll be seeing him soon enough … in the meantime, superadorable photos of Harlow Winter will just have to do ;)

Congratulations are in order for Penélope Cruz & Javier Bardem who friends say have gotten quietly engaged to be wed. Altho the couple have yet to publicly confirm that they are even dating, intimate friends of the couple are divulging that the couple have recently gotten engaged to be married (tho no wedding date is being discussed). In recent weeks, Penélope has been dogged by persistent rumors that she is pregs but her blabby friends insist that the couple are not expecting a baby … they’re just planning to get hitched!

Congratulations, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. The fiercely private couple is still playing coy about whether or not they’re dating. But, take it from us, they are in fact engaged. Rumors that they might be betrothed have been floating around since April. Not true then. True now. “They’re telling friends they will get married,” says a pal, who heard the news directly from one of them. A wedding is bound to comfort Cruz’s Catholic parents, considering stubborn rumors that she’s pregnant. But she continues to deny she’s with child – even to friends. Despite a photo showing the smiling pair leaving an OB/GYN clinic in Madrid last month, they’ve been telling friends to hold off on the baby gifts. “They say the pregnancy stories aren’t true,” says another skeptical friend. Publicists for the stars declined to comment … While many reports have time-stamped Cruz and Bardem’s romance as starting in 2007, few know they first fell for each other in 1992 while making “Jamon, Jamon,” where their fiery sex scenes were improved by some real-life rehearsals. Honestly, I’d hold off any rushing out to get any wedding gifts for these two … considering how fiercely private they have been about their dating life, I’m not sure I believe the couple’s so-called “friends” who insist the couple are engaged. That being said, I really do love these two together … they make a beautiful couple and I would love nothing more than for them to get hitched and start makin’ beautiful Spanish babies ;) Even if the couple are engaged, don’t count on hearing any confirmation at all … I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see if a wedding comes to fruition. Engagements can last years so … don’t hold y’all’s breath just yet.
