There’s A Vacancy At Melrose Place
The CW has launched a pretty cool viral campaign to promote the series premiere of the new version of Melrose Place which debuts on their network next Tuesday September 8. MelrosePlaceApts.com has been launched as a “realtor website” where you can tour the apartments at Melrose Place and even apply to rent a unit there:

The fun site has a virtual tour of the apts. at Melrose Place, an actual application that you can fill out for fun and links to Twitter accounts for the residents who already live there (ie. the characters that will appear on the show). As far as viral marketing goes, this new campaign is pretty sweet. After the jump, check out video of realtor Mickey Richards giving a tour of 4616 Melrose Place …
Hahahaha … cute video. I love the description of the pool ;) I’ve been able to preview the first two eps of Melrose Place and I love what I’ve seen!! The show deffo puts a new spin on the insane drama that tends to peculate at Melrose Place. I think fans of the original will like the new spin on the show … new fans will lap up the tense drama … it’s win/win! Make sure you tune in next week, methinks the show is gonna be a hit.

Love the new ways TV execs are making use of the Internet and engaging the fans for marketing.
